Do not call this company!! They are the biggest rip off ever.
They just take your money for doing nothing!! My son's home
warranty company sent this joker out to fix his hot water heater.
After sitting there the time he was suppost to come, I had to call
to see where he was. He finally came, didn't check anything, took
off both of my son's thermostats put others on (don't know if they were new or not)
threw the ones he took off away and said he should have hot water in 45 minutes.
He charged $60 for the service charge, couldn't give me a receipt and him and
his son were laughing like they just scammed another person. Well they did!!
No hot water. My brother was able to come check out what was going on and
he said a 1st time plumber should have seen the problem. The top element was not working and wouldn't tell the bottom element to work!!! DO NOT USE THIS JOKER OR GIVE HIM ANY MONEY UNTIL YOU KNOW IT IS FIXED!!!!!

Had a nightmare of a time trying to get our home warranty and Bass plumbing to fix our water heater. After 2 weeks, finally called Nichols plumbing and they came out next day, fixed my water heater, for less than the price of the service call on the home warranty. Great service, great plumbers

Like many others, I was sent to this company by American Homeshield. I called them at least 6 times throughout the day and they never answered. I called the emergency number after hours and they never answered that either, the voicemail was full. When I finally got in touch with a woman she was rude and nasty. I asked her about the lack of response to phone calls and messages. She told me they had a lot of calls and I shouldn't have called the emergency number anyways because my case wasn't urgent. My case was an urgent one by American Homshield standards. Long story short, American Homeshield called them and received rude treatment as well. They paired me up with another customer friendly company and reported Nichols for bad customer service. Hopefully they will be removed from American Homeshield contractors.

I was assigned this company through my home warranty company on a Friday to have a plumbing issue fixed. After not hearing anything from them on Friday or over the weekend, I called them. It was literally impossible to schedule an appointment with them because they don't answer their phones. I called them 24 times during normal business hours over three days (Mon-Wednesday), and no one answered. I just got a recording telling me to leave them a message and that they'll get back to me as soon as possible. I left several messages. I finally got them to answer today (day 3), and the soonest they could fit me in was more than 48 away... a week from when they were assigned to the job. I wish I'd read the multiple other negative reviews on here 5 days ago. I would have demanded a different company sooner. Don't use this company if you actually want to have your issue fixed.

For the record I usually don't do reviews but this one was necessary!
Once again another 1 star! As other reviews I would also not given them any stars, but unfortunately that's not an option.Like other customer's complaints, this company has poor customer service in the office. My water heater busted and American home Shield sent this company out on an emergency call to assess the problem. The first guy who showed up was extremely nice and told me that the water heater was busted, which I already knew. Hetold me that they would try to have somebody out as soon as possible since I work from home and hot water is needed. Because it happened on New Year's Eve, American home Shield was close the next morning so the guy told me that as soon as they open back up that the request for new water heater will be put in, as it was. After receiving authorization approval from American home Shield I call this company to schedule an appointment the lady who was at the front desk told me that she could get me for Tuesday between eight and 11 this worked out fine for me because I was off.Tuesday morning comes around and between the hours of eight and 11 I'm sitting at the house at 11:57 I decide to call the company to see if there was anything that happened and why they could not make it during the window. The lady told me that she had me scheduled for Wednesday between the hours of eight and 11. This caught me by great surprise because I never agreed to an appointment on Wednesday between eight and 11 because I have to be to work at nine! After not getting anywhere with the lady I asked if I could speak to somebody else and she told me no there was nobody else that I could speak to then she hangs up on me. I call American home Shield back I speak to the authorization unit and they tell me that they can't do anything about it because of the simple fact that they can't control the scheduling through the company I'm highly disappointed and extremely furious at the fact that I have to go another day without hot water not to mention highly offended when they asked me if I could leave my garage door open for them to gain access to the hot water heater while I was not home. I told American home Shield I never want to deal with these people again and I highly advise no one else to use this company as well! The lack of customer service in the office is out of control and they should be shut down for that very purpose but the guy who was dispatched on the emergency call was nice. P.S. I still don't have any hot water!😡😡😡 well that is until tomorrow between the hours of 8 and 11 unless theres another "miscommunication" that takes place.

Never arrived for scheduled time slot 2-5 pm. Attempted calling multiple times and left a voicemail. Finally got somebody that put me on a hold. I waited for six minutes.
We have an active water leak so I called the emergency number and it was forwarded to voicemail twice.
Horrible way to conduct business. I will negatively speak about Nichols plumbing and piping to those who bring up plumbing needs.

This is INSANE! Had to get a leak in my ceiling fixed. I have American Home Shield so I was sent All American Plumbing. They put two holes in my ceiling, but couldn't find the leak?? One week later I was sent Nichols plumbing. The guy was there to patch it because the other company couldn't find a leak, but luckily when he was there he found the leak and fixed it. He told me the ceiling needed to dry for a week and he would be back to patch it. After no phone calls from them for a week to schedule anything, I took it upon myself to call. I called five times one day, with no response from anyone and left a message. No one called me back. I called again four times the following day, and ONCE AGAIN, no one answered the calls. I left yet another message. After two more days and no returned calls, I had had enough and called American Home Shield. I explained the dilemma, she put me on hold to call them herself, got back on the line and told me SHE HAD TO LEAVE A MESSAGE AS WELL. It's been two days and STILL no response. No call back. No acknowledgement. Nothing. I am now going to call American Home Shield and see if I can be paired with a company that actually cares!!!!

The tenants that live in my home had a severe blockage that caused contaminated water to back up into all plumbed areas of the home, and were forced to travel to use public restrooms. My home warranty company called Sunday night to order an emergency repair, and the Nichol's representative (I use the term loosely) let us know that they would be responding first thing in the morning. I followed up Monday morning to make sure someone was being dispatched promptly, and they weren't. So I let her know I would be calling later in the day to see how they made out. Her response? "You'd be better calling me tomorrow. I have 24 hours to respond." To be clear, I was very nice to her, as I needed her help. I'm not sure how their work is- to me, it was just a blockage. But what you view as an emergency and how they treat an emergency are completely different. And don't bother calling throughout the day when they are not showing up- she will let you know you are "Tying up their lines." Well, she didn't say this to me, she said this to the warranty company that made the mistake of hiring them. They are now on a do-not-call list with my warranty company. They did show up and fix it. Around 5. I'm kinda mad I had to leave a star.

My families house has homeowners insurance and Nichols was the company they used to send out to take care of our leaky water heater. The fellow who showed up was great at communicating his arrival time and knew exactly what to do. He had the tools and parts on hand and was done in no time flat. We were afraid he would need to go out for parts or try to upsell us.

It is sad that people who do their jobs well are hard to find sometimes I see some bad reviews but all I saw was professionalism during his whirlwind service call. Wish we had gotten a business card from him.

The phone customer service is horrid but the plumber who helped was awesome. I called over and over for an appointment but they never answer, the home warranty company finally had to call and get them in gear. The plumber however was on time, fixed the issue quickly, even went to a local store to get the correct part and came right back to fix the issue. This company needs to reassess their back office processes entirely and they would be fine.

I had a water heater leaking problem started on February 23, 2015. I called my insurance company. They have contacted Nicole's plumbing company. Technician came to my house February 25, 2015. A technician told us that he brought a water heater with him, so he'll replace it right away. We told him that we would like to go with Tankless water heater. Technician told us that he have to get the approval from the insurance company and then he will be back with us. We did not hear anything until March 2, 2015. In between, I called several times to my insurance company. Insurance company informed me that they had not received the report from the technician, so they cannot do anything. I also called several time Nicole plumbing company. Even in a business working hours, nobody answered the phone. I called about 40 times in 7 days.Only on two occasional, manager answered my phone. She said that technician have not created the report so she don't know what is going on. finally, My insurance company told me that the technician reported to them that my water heater leaking problem was very old. My insurance company also told me that that they will not pay anything because my problem was old. . I told insurance company that technician is lying. I told insurance company that he brought the water heater with him when he came first time and he wants to replace it at the same time.and on the same day. But we want to go with Tankless water heater so he didn't replace it on that day.
Finally, I have to go on my own and pay everything for my Tankless water heater replacement.

I will not recommend to anybody this company for any plumbing work. .I will give -10 rating.

They left me without hot water for six weeks (in 2007) while they waited for a part to come in from the manufacturer. After several calls to them, I finally called the manufacturer myself and determined that no order had been made. I ordered the part myself and called Nichols to install it. The technician did it wrong and I ended up with a vent full of soot. My house could have burned down because of this. I called the warranty company and requested a different plumber who had the water heater fixed in two days and in the six years since I have not had a single problem. Nichols gave me the run around every time I called and didn't care that my family and I were without hot water for over a month, even though they knew my husband was deployed as well, or maybe because of it. I am still very upset about the way I was treated by them and their incompetent plumber whose shoddy work could have destroyed my home.

The home warranty company we have assigned us this plumber we had no water starting on a Sat. the warranty company put it in as an emergency work order they where suppose to call us within 8 hrs they never called and when I called them got no answer so called their emergency number which I had to look up on line only to get voice mail and then the box was full. Had to call the warranty company again and they answered the companies call and told them they would be there first thing in the morning on Monday. how is that emergency service but we had no choice so went with that . They didn't show up so tried to call and got their voice mail left a message and they never called me back so I called back and finally got thru. The woman I talked took my info to look up the work order and said they just got it (which wasn't true) and that it was not an emergency order (also not true) that they couldn't come until between 3 and 5 that afternoon. When I started asking questions about why we had to wait so long and that I thought they had emergency serves and that they had told the warranty company that they where coming in the morning she got mad and started yelling at me saying do you want the appointment or not and then hung up. Very unprofessional! The to top it all off while I was on the phone with the warranty company telling them what happened she called and told them I had refused service! Very rude and unprofessional would never let these people work on my house! If I could give them a lower score I would.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. We were out of water for three days and our warranty company dispatched this plumbing company to fix the water. They told me the earliest they could come was 2 days later between 1-5pm. After two days of not being able to flush toilets, use water, or even shower with two toddlers and dirty diapers, Nichols NEVER SHOWED UP at the allotted time. Even after I called an hour before to confirm! They confirmed and then were completely MIA.

I called their emergency line. NO RESPONSE. I called my warranty company and they dispatched another plumbing company. After 5 days without water, I literally wish I could sue this company for the ridiculousness we've been through. I honestly will go to great lengths to make sure that the BBB knows about this. They aren't customer-friendly, professional, or even good. As far as I'm concerned, they should be out of business.

"your dependable plumber" is anything but dependable. Our appointment time was scheduled for 2-5 pm. Nichols showed up to our house hours early, when nobody was home! They left a note on the door, and when we attempted to contact the company to see why they showed up hours early, nobody ever returned out voicemail messages. We will no longer be doing business with this company. I will make sure our home warranty puts a permanent "do not assign" on our file.

I also had the unfortunate experience of being referred to them by my home warranty company to fix a broken/leaking garbage disposal. They never called to schedule an appointment. At this time I have called over 10 times, and left 3 messages with my home, work, and cell numbers. I never got a call back, and nobody ever answered the phone. After looking them up online and reading the reviews, I decided to ask to be assigned to another vendor. When I called my home warranty company, they informed me that the work order was "COMPLETED" by the vendor. This place is so unprofessional. Thankfully I have been re-assigned to a new company and will never ever attempt to give them my money again.

I have to share my experience with Nichols Plumbing because of all the negative reviews that I have read. Nichols was dispatched by my home warranty company. Patrick came an hour early. Diagnosed the problem and explained my options. My warranty company denied the claim due to the location of the leak. Patrick quoted a price that was less than other plumber in Fayetteville by 33%. The only delay to Nichol's repair was due to No Cuts and the utilities who report to them. As soon as the utilities were marked, Patrick and his son came out and replaced the line. I could not have asked for a better job.
My theory about the negative reviews is that the company does some work for home warranty companies and is swamped by calls. I would suggest to improve public relations, they add someone to answer the phone and placate customers.

Nichols Plumbing was contacted through my home warranty company for a leaking pipe. They had nothing available within the week and I was leaving town. The dispatcher was able to work me in and I was told I would be called at least 30 minutes prior to the plumber arriving. This never happened and I was told that he had stopped by with no one home. When I called them to find out what was going on, they told me they wouldn't be able to get out to my house until I got back over the weekend. If a pipe is leaking and ruining hardwood floors I wouldn't really want to wait a week to figure it out. But hey, that's just me... I had my home warranty folks switch plumbers and thats the end of that. I would not recommend Nichols Plumbing.

I don't know how this company gets chosen to work with warranty companies. The warranty company for the home that we rent contacted Nichols Plumbing and a technician was sent to my home. He arrived, was pleasant, did what he was supposed to, but had to return the next day with fuses they normally don't carry (I have an old, tankless water heater...). That's fine. He then determined that it was the heating element going bad, which again, they do not carry locally. A week passed by, leaving myself and my three young children without hot water. When I call the warranty company, the required report from the technician was never given to them and replacement parts, which needed to be ordered direct from the manufacturer, could not be ordered without that. The real estate company, the warranty company, and I have been trying for hours to reach Nichols Plumbing and out of three of us, no one has received an answer or a callback. I have placed a formal complaint with BBB (for the first time in all my 31 years of life!) because I'm so disgusted with the service. I've also asked the warranty company to assign my claim to a different plumbing company. I will always turn customers away from this company as long as I live here. Please, do yourself a favor, and if you must, spend the extra money for better, more timely service with a company that cares about their customers.

I have never seen such poor customer service. My initial appointment was scheduled for a Thursday, but the plumber did not come in the first time and his "truck broke down" the second. Nothing was EVER communicated to me... I had to keep calling the office to try to discern what was happening. When the plumber finally showed up on Tuesday, my water heater issue was not resolved and no one even attempted to let me know what was going on or if they were even coming back. I spent two days calling the emergency number and the business line. I was initially told that "someone would call me back" but the phones were interestingly going straight to voicemail for the two days after that. I finally called from a friend's phone and got through. When I expressed my concerns, I was told to find another company. The next company has been nothing but professional and was there the next day to solve my problem. I have never publicly complained about a business, but this service was so poor that I still cannot wrap my head around it. I have filed formal complaints with my home warranty company and will be contacting BBB. I hope to save someone else the frustration of trying to deal with this "company.
