Plumbing reviews in Lexington, North Carolina

We just bought a new home. I wasn’t sure about the care and maintenance I need to stay on top of. Eric was very knowledgeable and helpful overall to assist with my questions. Was good about explaining what our service contract covers. He even shared photos with me so I wouldn’t have to go into the crawl space!
Sooo….we jacked up something over the weekend, electrical. Had to call out to Pro Plumbing as it was effecting the refrigerator working.
Ben came out and was here in a jiffy. Fixed our problem immediately. Had a smile on his face even though it was a Sunday. I am so thankful we have the Pro Plumbing membership. The “call” is free even on the weekend! The membership is worth every dime. Highly recommend this company. -
Rafeal's team replaced my entire HVAC system in a day. They worked efficiently and professionally and caused minimum interfernce to us as we were moving into our new home. I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service I have received. About 1.5 years ago, I experienced a sewer water backup, and Pro Plumbing came out to install a device in my front yard that was supposed to prevent this issue from ever happening again. Unfortunately, that installation failed me, and the sewer backed up again on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
I called at 11:52 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 for emergency service, and the technician did not arrive until 6:37 PM—nearly seven hours later. When he arrived, we asked if he had a camera to inspect the backflow device your company had installed. He said he did not and would have his supervisor contact us when he left. No one called back.
By 9:00 PM, I called again and was told multiple times that my ticket had been closed and marked “resolved,” even though the issue was absolutely not resolved—I had sewer water in my home all day. I was then told that since it was the weekend, no one would likely call until the next day. This is completely unacceptable for a company that advertises 24/7 emergency plumbing services.
At around 10:30 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025, someone finally called and said he would speak with the GM about getting me a hotel room I requested since I couldn’t shower or use my restrooms due to the sewer backup. He promised to call me back that night with an update. I am still waiting on that call—11 days later.
This level of neglect and lack of follow-up is not acceptable. The situation was handled unprofessionally from start to finish, and I’ve been left without the courtesy of a single follow-up call. Pro Plumbing is now on my list of companies I will never use or recommend again.
I had to call another plumbing company (Patriot Plumbing LLC) to come look at something Pro Plumbing installed to see what the issue was and pay $320 for something they should of fixed, since they installed it.
Patriot Plumbing LLC, was timely, professional, and courteous. I recommend taking any plumbing needs there. -
Update as of 5/28. Job not completed or permitted. I reached out 6 days ago (last we heard back was may 5) I’ve yet to receive a response letting us know where we stand on the issue. Of course the charge still exists for the job, when it is not even usable. They were doing great communicating for 2 weeks, but it appears the ball has been dropped again, and no one seems to care. Photos attached. The customer service continues to be stellar. How did our preferred vendor do downhill so fast?
I’d highly recommended another company for any large exterior jobs. Ours was small. A car charger, yet we are still here begging for updates or even just communication. Maybe we’ll be fixed by July. Hard maybe. This is not how contractors work.
Two months ago, I would have enthusiastically recommended this company. However, my experience following the installation of a car charger a month ago has been deeply concerning and has led to a significant structural issue with my home.
The company failed to secure the necessary permit for the installation. As a direct result, water damage has occurred, compromising a structural beam of my house. Despite numerous calls and emails detailing this urgent and potentially dangerous situation, we have received absolutely no substantive response. An unidentified individual did come and attach a hose without any prior notification or explanation, and there has been no follow-up communication whatsoever.
While mistakes can happen in any business, the true measure of a company lies in its commitment to rectifying those errors. Ignoring them and failing to communicate, especially in a situation with such serious consequences, is unacceptable. Furthermore, the full payment for the job was processed over a month ago, even as this critical issue remains unaddressed. This lack of accountability and communication demonstrates a profound lack of ethics and disregard for their customers' well-being. Proceed with extreme caution.
Thank you for the follow up suggestion. We have been calling and emailing for over two weeks. I was told one manager had a heart attack, I was told my Mother manager quit that was supposed to be promoted, I was told that the permit should’ve been pulled prior to any digging being done by the county inspector. Calling your company for assistance is just a joke at this point. I am going to assume that this was auto generated, since you don’t want to deal with structural damage to a new home. Ethics.
7.8.25 We are writing to confirm that we will no longer be utilizing your services, effective immediately. Please verify that we are no longer being charged or obligated under any service contract as of today, July 8, 2025.
Update August 6, 2025.
The reviews are always good on Google, but please make sure you look up their holding company which is southern Home Services. It took us some time to find this in order to log our complaint and it looks as if they have 189 Total complaints in the last three years and only 92 of them were closed in the last 12 months so do not go by the Google star rating. It is completely false. In fact, I received a thing in the mail for their services asking me to be a customer, and they pulled some real reviews, but funny enough mine was not on there once before me were, but not mine. This is about as sketchy as you can get avoid this business at all cost -
I needed my very old shower valve and shower head replaced after it stopped working that morning. Drew came to my house and made the repairs the same day. He was polite, well mannered and did a wonderful job! I was more than pleased. I will definitely be calling them again whenever I need other repairs.

November 14, 2024 Drew Potts with Pro Plumbing came out to replace the anode rod in the hot water heater. Apparently the one installed by the manufacturer AO Smith was just a magnesium rod that corroded in a matter of months. Thankful that Drew was so kind & helpful. My dogs even liked him. Highly recommend.
This review is for the consult & inspection. Terry was very kind & thorough. He went over everything really well & tried to make it affordable for us. I'll update after we get the unit up & running.
Update 9/17. Friendly crew went above and beyond what we expected I'm installing the hvac & water heater. -
Michael was very nice. I really enjoyed him. We talked and he was about fixing my heat. Told me what I should know. Very understanding. Good person. Thank you so much.

Tyler and Jeff were phenomenal! They were polite and respectful of our home and our time. They were very thorough and even solved one of our problems today. We can’t wait to get our little project completed by them. Thanks!

We had a clogged main drain line. The professionals at Pro Plumbing Air and Electric did a great job in diagnosing the problem. But more importantly, because the issue had seemingly corrected itself, we were only charged the $49 trip fee. They also told us that if the problem resurfaced in the next 30 days, that they would come back and we would not be charged the fee again. They were extremely professional and very courteous. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing, air, or electric issue we have in the home!

They were great. They were able to get the new well pump in the same day I had no water. I want to thank Pro Plumbing for doing a great job. Courteous and professional. Thank you once again for a great experience.
-
Jerry was awesome, very kind and knowledgeable. Fixed our problem efficiently. Took his time to make sure things were working properly. He was very respectful. Would definitely call again

Ben came before the Duke Energy guys left. He completely understood what we needed. He followed up giving us 3 options for the work we need to have. I have great confidence in his work.

I had a mixed experience with this company, and I will try to write a fair and honest review that details both sides. I called them on New Year's Eve to check out our water heater. I didn't think the water was hot enough, but when I looked at the tank, both elements were set to 140. There was a gauge at the top of the tank that was reading 100, so I thought an element may have gone bad. I called Pro Plumbing, and they were able to come out that same day.
When the technician arrived on site, the first thing he did was recommend a flush. I know that's a good maintenance procedure, so I didn't have a problem with that. After that, he said there was a reset switch on one of the elements that wouldn't reset, and suggested we needed to do a tank rebuild. He said replacing these four components would make the tank as good as new. The water heater was installed in 2017, so that didn't seem too unreasonable to me, so I authorized the work.
When the work was completed, the tank was showing 80 degrees and I asked how long should I wait for it to get back up to temperature. He said to give it 45 minutes to 1 hour. So, he left, and we waited. After 1 hour it was still at 80 degrees, so I called back and spoke to someone at the company. They said to give it 2-3 hours, so we went to dinner. When we returned, it was showing 92 degrees. So, we called the company back. The plumbing manager was going to come out and have a look. This was at 8:00 PM on New Year's Eve. When we looked at the tank together, he showed us that the tank has a Tank Booster, which is a thermostatic mixing valve. (That is the gauge at the top.) I was not familiar with this, but the way it works is you set the tank to heat to 140 or 150, and then the gauge can be adjusted (mixed with cold water) to achieve the desired temperature. Using an Allen wrench, the manager was able to adjust the water to our desired temperature immediately. We were very appreciative of this, and it's been working well ever since.
So, here are my final thoughts following the service call. (I shared these with the manager the week after his visit.) My initial call wasn't because something was known to be broken, but just that the water wasn't hot enough. My initial assessment of inspecting the two elements and finding them both set at 140 indicated that there may be an issue with one of them. I was not aware of the Tank Booster or how it worked. It was obvious to me that the technician who came on site also was also not familiar with the Tank Booster or it's operation. Had he been, when I contacted him 3 hours after he'd left and the gauge was showing 92, he would have told me how to adjust it. He just said the gauge may be faulty. Had he known about this, it's possible he could have just adjusted the gauge (as the manager did), and everything would have been fine, (and it would have saved us a ton of money). To be honest, I felt like they sold us things that we may not have needed.
I shared my concerns with the manager, who checked with the technician as to why the tank rebuild was recommended. It was because the reset switch wouldn't reset on at least one of the elements (and you would want to replace both at the same time, which makes sense). So, I don't know if they replaced things that didn't need replacing, but I shared my concerns with the manager, and he indicated he was having a meeting with his team, where he would stress the importance of not replacing things that didn't need to be replaced. Had the technician taken the time to explain the Tank Booster to me and shown me how it works, it would have instilled in me more confidence in the rest of his work. And, while I was disappointed in the technician's lack of knowledge about the Tank Booster, I was also very impressed by the fact that the manager would make a house visit at 8:00 PM on New Year's Eve to address our concerns and also take the time to listen to more of my concerns on the phone the next week. I hope this review helps you in your evaluation of this company. -
Travis arrived promptly as communicated despite having to drive a long distance to get to us. Once on-site, he clearly explained my service options. Once we decided on the service approach, he went to work. Upon departure, he was careful to clean up and take pictures.
Overall a good resolution to an issue other pros were unable to resolve. On a Christmas weekend nonetheless.
I'd happily recommend for your plumbing needs. -
Tyler did a great job. I am still disappointed with the total cost even after the cost was reduced over $300 dollars. I do not deny anyone making a profit but you need to be reasonable. The disposal only costs $139-189. Add labor for 1 1/2 hour and the cost of equipment and vehicle. I in good conscience cannot recommend your firm to my neighbors.

*update edit* now after another two weeks of calling and giving this company $20,000 of my business, they have still refused to give me warranty information and tax paperwork on my brand new HVAC system. No matter how many times you call it's always "we'll leave a message and call you back" but the call is never returned. I've filed a complaint with the BBB. I will NEVER give this company another penny of my business and I strongly recommend others to steer clear.
This company is great when you need help and they can make a quick buck off you, but once the job is done you're no longer the priority even if you have a "membership" with them. After almost 3 weeks of our new HVAC system being installed and the city inspector coming out to inspect it, I never received my warranty info in the mail or the receipt I was promised. You call their office? All you'll get is "We're sorry that happened. We will be sure to forward your message to the other department." and then you never hear anything back. Also, buyers beware: if you ask them to give you a price breakdown on any job, they claim they cannot provide one because all jobs are "one set price". I've never heard of a company that doesn't give you an estimate with costs of materials plus labor. -
Tyler was a wondeful young man and did a wonderful job unclogging and repairing our basement toilet. He checked the condition of our sewage line to check for any problems and found none. We can flush and run our washing machine in the basement again. Thank you, Pro Plumbing, and we’ll keep you in mind for the future if needed!!!

Let me first tell you out of the 7-9 plumbers I called Pro Plumbing was the only one that was willing to drive out on a Friday evening to help me. From the Winston Salem area! Not one plumber in my town even returned my call. Still! Flavio came out and as I feared it was the pump so it would be Monday before they could get the pump. ( But we both have family in Jersey so it was a nice conversation at least)
I cannot tell you how above & Beyond Justin & Tyler of Pro Plumbing went to fix my well. Not only did they have to pull , replace the pump they added plastic protectors on the new wires ( which I may not have needed a pump if the last plumbers had used them because the wires were cut 6 feet down) They also weren’t happy with the dirt coming thru so they drove to Liberty NC to get a casing for the pump. The water cleared up but they weren’t happy with the pressure fluctuation so they ended up driving to Winston to Home Dept and bought a brand new holding tank lines the works and didn’t charge me a dime extra because I had been without water since Friday. NOBODY would have gone thru all of this. I know because this is my third pump. I always had problems even after, it would take at least a week even with my rainsoft system to clear the water up. I have clean water! I have water! I am going to take a shower! Thank you Justin. Thank you Tyler. Thank you Flavio. Thank you Pro Plumbing for sending someone my way when I was desperate. Now I am a member so I feel like I’m part of the family. -
We needed to know our generator would come on in this storm. Joshua Walker was very professional competent came in talked with my husband made sure it was online and ready if the power goes out. We got on a maintenance plan so we save 20% for every call no matter what the service need is and it was a great value. I felt good about The technicians, their expertise, the quality of service and courtesy, I would highly recommend them.

The service provided went great and my technician was very nice and was able to get there same day. However when I called and they gave me an estimate on the price they said it would be roughly 100 bucks but whenever the technician arrived he said it was gonna be around 500. When I told him what I was told he felt awful and even called corporate to get the price down to 300, which is what another company had quoted me. Overall the work done was quick and done well and highly recommended my technician, but be aware of pricing.

Nathan Reeder with Pro Plumbing, Air & Electric has helped me twice now with HVAC issues—once last summer and again this winter—and both experiences have been excellent. From the start, Nathan was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. He showed up with a great attitude and clearly takes pride in providing quality service.
Nathan took the time to explain what was going on with my system, answered my questions clearly, and made sure everything was working properly before wrapping up. He never rushed the job and made the entire process feel straightforward and stress-free.
It’s not always easy to find technicians who are both knowledgeable and genuinely focused on customer service, but Nathan consistently delivered on both. Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend Nathan Reeder and Pro Plumbing, Air & Electric to anyone needing reliable HVAC service. I would absolutely call them again in the future.
