I have used Mr. Ramirez for several years. He has trimmed bushes, trees and general yard maintenance. He always communicates when he can come and keeps in touch with me. After job cleanup is always complete. I highly recommend Mr. Ramirez. I have enjoyed working with him because of his professionalism and work ethic.

Manuel has been helping around my property for over a year now. He is ALWAYS early, brings all his tools and cleans up professionally. He has meticulously laid pine needles, spread mulch (both with delivery to save me from doing it myself), trimmed bushes, stained the gazebo, removed massive roots, transplanted, installed edging and helped construct new garden beds. He has a great attitude, takes pride in his work, and is very reasonably priced. It’s such a relief to have someone so reliable, professional and affordable to help me as a single mum.

My boyfriend and I love plants and as I venture into more house plants, I like to visit local nurseries to see if they have any new plants. This place is full of plants and they are cared for. They do have clearance plants from time to time. I haven't been able to buy anything from here yet, but it's definitely coming. I'd love to get a rubber plant and one of their barrel cactus!

Beautiful and neatly kept and attended store while customers are ignored when they ask for help. Told to get their own cart to load 3, 5-7 gal shrubs Help arrives to push cart after customer self loaded 2 5’ shrubs and 1 6.5’ shrub. When complained, three staff members interrupted their important task of cardboard box assembly, to point out the errored way of the customer. Then after customer insisted on loading their own vehicle with plants purchased at this location to add to the 6 - 6’ tall shrubs, 3- 3’ tall shrubs and orchids, osmocote, all purchased Saturday at Ballentyne Pike’s. Total of my play in the dirt club account is fact. Fall is the best time to plant, but get plants elsewhere.

The plants are much better quality than the big box stores. The prices are high but you get what you pay for. Love Pikes staff to, they are wonderful and all knowledgeable.

Very beautiful and well-organized. Staff was most helpful discussing care of house plants. Excellent variety of plant choices. Ample parking. Hoping this new addition to Matthews, NC, really does well.

Excellent 'Garden Centre' as we would call it, our daughter took us to Pike Nurseries while we were over from the UK. She lives locally and is gradually working to improve and develop her garden.

We really enjoyed the superb displays and chatted to a couple of the staff, who had seen our interest in the plants that were available in this very different climate to home in the UK.

We know our plants but were impressed by everything we saw here. Our daughter visits regularly for plants, both indoor & outdoor, and really appreciates the good advice she gets every time.

Always friendly and helpful staff. So many different plants. It's always our first stop when we want to add some color to the garden. Updates in 2023: they have a lot more planting pots now and of course prices more expensive now but great place

Overall my wife and I really like Pikes and it's where we buy almost everything for our yard. However, we recently bought several plants and one of them had a white fungus all over the leaves... which we didn't realize until we got home. We brought one of the leaves and a picture back to the store to inquire about it and were basically told it's no big deal since the leaves are all going to fall off in the next month or so and when they do we should carefully pick them up and discard them since they are covered in fungus. Not really the customer service I was expecting. Considering how much $$ we've spend at pikes I was more expecting them to send us home with a product to treat the fungus at no charge.

Collin displayed wonderful customer service to my husband and I. He went above and beyond to ensure we received everything we needed for our landscaping needs, including teaching us how to adequately water our plants for optimal growth. Additionally, he reserved plants for us due to a family emergency and allowed us to pick them up at a later date. We look forward to using this Pikes location going forward!

Post Covid quarantine...stock seemed a little less than usual but they certainly had a decent selection anyway. Wider variety of plants than Lowe's or Home Depot with same guarantee. Staff seemed small but helpful as always. Love this place!!!

After good experiences in the store, I tried the landscape design service. I asked for flowering evergreen trees and shrubs for privacy that could handle my clay soil. What I got were poorly placed shrubs that soon died or struggled to survive and trees that drop every leaf in early fall. Some of the plants discussed are never in stock. I have had more success picking my own plants and choosing where to place them myself. I think landscape design is out of scope for their skills and abilities.

The nursery is very nice. It is very well organized and the staff knows quite a bit about the plans they have. Well they don’t have a huge selection of everything they have enough. You can’t go here and find 30 different types of trees but they have all the standard trees. My only issue with the nursery is that they are a little more expensive than a independent nursery. After all they are a chain so prices are pretty much set. There are better deals if you’re willing to drive around town but it is a good place for a quick shop.

Jessa helped me today with figuring out what plants to put in my new planter urns. She was very patient and knowledgeable!! Gillian helped me about a month ago with finding lots of pots for all my houseplants, and she was also very patient and knowledgeable. I have had excellent experiences both times and I’m excited to return. Thanks to all the staff :)

Awesome selection of healthy plants but be cautious at check out! I have been here only twice and each time the planters were clearly marked with a price and then scanned $5 more than the sticker! The cashier never seems surprised and quickly changes tje price to match the sticker. Some people may not notice but this has happened twice on 2 occasions!

I’m working on a new house that was overgrown and had no curb appeal. I don’t know anything about plants. I’m not a gardener at all. I was able to get my landscape designed with the help of Pike’s Nursery. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of shrubs. One person was beyond helpful to me....Doug is the bomb.com. Don’t all of you guys take all of his time because I’m not done yet!

I bought a hosta from Pikes in Matthews NC 4 weeks ago. Repotted it in a larger pot. Now it shows HVX virus. I have 49 different hostas 95 percent potted. Do not show any virus on any except this plant. Very disappointed. Tried to ask for help from the store. They never called me back.

Good selection of houseplants, GREAT selection of outdoor plants. You'll sometimes find some gems or good deals in the house plant section (like a 50% off ~10 foot bird of paradise!). Pretty good selection of pots, too.
