Tried to get them to do weekly lawn maintenance and felt bullied when going with another company for a specific project and thus they resended their weekly law maintenance offer

I called company for 6 column and fence project . Brian didn’t want to come to site . I told him later about my budget . He didn’t respond , when I asked him he said “ not good “ because we are above budget . I won’t hesitate to fire him right away because of his attitude “ red flags” , problems , trees and roots , can’t match iron work . Mailbox too close . What happened to find solution and work with client to earn his / her business for over a 25K project . I’m glad not to waste my $$$ on a depressing lazy non exciting company . I will find the right company.Owner called me and he knows it Brian Cuthberston. It isn't 2nd or 3rd and that also tells me that the owner is a liar and deceptive. So glad I didn't go with lazy company and deceptive owner.

Paragon did an amazing job transforming our backyard into a perfect oasis. They were professional and conscientious enough to clean the area really well each day before leaving. That made the process much easier on us and our neighbors. Highly recommend them.

Paragon has provided us maintenance services for several years. They have also helped with various other yard projects including landscape design, irrigation installation, and re-sodding our entire yard. They are professional, responsive, and very knowledgeable.

Paragon did a great job on our patio/stairs/fire pit project. The project was completed in the timeframe provided. The company was also responsive in returning to the site to make any necessary revisions to the project plan as requested by the homeowners.

Paragon Landscape is the only company I’ll use for landscaping, hardscaping or irrigation repair. Jason is wonderful at communicating and helping create a plan. His team is just as commendable when showing up to do the work. I’ve never had any issues and fully recommend them for your next project!

We hired Paragon to help with a solution to drainage through our back yard. They were professional in their communication and listened to our requests. The work was completed on schedule (including flexibility from them regarding our schedule and adjusting start dates). The work itself looks great and blends well into natural setting. After work was completed there were some small adjustments needed, which they quickly returned to take care of. Highly recommend.

I couldn't be happier with the Landscape job that Paragon performed at my home. Jason Birch made an appointment with me and LISTENED to what I wanted to see, the fragrances I wanted smell blooming and the amount of upkeep that I wanted to invest. He made a plan according to the size and shape of my yard and we went from there. The crews were professional and took care to be respectful of neighboring property. Martin came by daily to let me know exactly what work was being performed. From ripping out all the sod in the backyard to installing a patio, dry creek, trees, shrubs and perennials took about ten days. I would recommend Paragon Landscape to anyone interested in installing a new yard. Mr. Birch knows his plants and designs the space accordingly. Most importantly, he listens to the dreams of his clients and makes it happen.

Have been pleased with lawn care and irrigation services. Loki’s forward to a full year of services in 2026

Eight years later, we still love the backyard patio, landscaping and partial privacy walls that Paragon designed and built for us. And when there is an occasional maintenance or service need, Jason Birch and the team are highly responsive. If they can't fix it themselves, they have resources they can connect to us.

Co-owner’s involvement elevated my experience from two to four stars

*This is a condensed review of our experience with Paragon Landscape Management over 6-7 months from hiring to final inspections.

Our project manager initially quoted us a timeframe of about two weeks for our backyard project. After five weeks and three failed inspections, I wrote to one of the owners to share my experience, frustration, and perspective on the project. This was to afford him the opportunity to make things better and he delivered.

One of the owners, Kevin, contacted me quickly to address my concerns. He got involved, came to my house, and saw that any questions or concerns I had were addressed. We came to agreements on solutions for the issues that occurred.

As the project neared completion and got to the phase where electrical work was beginning, the project manager independently changed the plan on the electrical work that was previously agreed upon between all parties. On July 11th, he texted me, “We are doing as minimal work on the interior that needs to be done, so if I have a way to add a light outside and pass code without removing drywall, then that is what will be done.” What this meant in reality is that an electrical outlet would be installed in the middle of our bedroom wall at shoulder height. The outlet would look ridiculous, and be blocked when the door was open. We thought this was absurd and would never had agreed to this had it been an option during the design. Luckily I asked enough questions to find this out before it was too late.

Our perception of the project manager was that he was arrogant, disrespectful, and did not care about what we wanted or what was best for us. His actions seemed self serving and questionable. For example:

-He suggested we ignore our HOA’s directives because they couldn’t see the project from the street. We did not follow through and instead moved forward with following their restrictions and approvals.

-He indicated he may not be forthcoming with the county inspector about a structural issue that came up and needed to be remediated. Luckily, the inspector asked about it specifically and the project manager did disclose what we knew.

Based on how the project had been handled, I believe our project manager would not have been forthcoming about his (or his subcontractor’s) part in the project’s missteps. Luckily, I heard about these things from the inspector directly. If I had not been present for and requested inspection results, the additional costs likely would have passed to us, such as additional labor to make corrections required by building codes, and an engineer’s letter which was required by the county inspector.

If choosing to work with Paragon Landscape Management, I’d advise caution with your project manager. Be sure to ask plenty of questions, get clarification, request all inspection results, and communicate in writing. It was troubling that we couldn’t trust our project manager to do the right thing and I finally had to ask that he be removed from the project entirely.

Consequently, the project went smoothly from there on. In all honesty, we have a few additional hardscaping and landscaping needs, and I don’t know that I’d use Paragon Landscape Management again given the experience with our project manager. But we are happy with the final results.

Finally, if it were not for Kevin getting involved, we would have likely been unhappy with the outcome. The construction process was extremely long (11 weeks) and frustrating, but Kevin helped make it better. He seemed to truly care about our happiness and making things right. He was very generous with pricing for additional materials and visited the site a few times to oversee the project’s completion. For that we are truly grateful. We’re glad we are able to enjoy our backyard again.
