When our recycle was missed during a regular pickup I called and spoke to Nikki Sturdivant who was vey helpful in getting me scheduled for a pick up the next working day. Winter weather wreaked havoc on that schedule but in the end all was taken care of and Nikki did a wonderful job taking care of us.

Kiara M. provided excellent customer service at Waste Connections. Although my local county never put through my services to Waste Connections after paid two weeks ago, she made sure to contact them directly to get things in order for me. She was friendly, prompt, and very professional throughout the entire process. She made everything easy and stress free, I truly appreciate her help and outstanding service! :) Thank you again Kiara!!!

We - Linksland Drive folks - had some "issues"/"questions" regarding Christmas tree "pickups". I called the City of Huntersville, and they suggested I call Waste Connections. Following their suggestion, I made the call. My service representative was Nikki Sturdivant. First of all, give her an A+ for patience. I had difficulty explaining the "issues" and she asked all the right question to properly "frame" the situation. Once established, she had the complete and correct answer for resolve. It seems that - starting this year - a Christmas tree must be in cut into sections no greater than 4 feet long. Somewhere along the line, this "new rule" was not added to the City of Huntersville website. Thanks to Nikki it is there now! I also believe the City of Huntersville folks suggested that the tree collection period be extended from ending 1/16 to ending 1/23. Nikki did one better. She got the pickup period extended to 1/30!
Should be good to go! And will know what we have to do to get our Christmas trees picked up in 2027!

We have two businesses that use the dumpster and we only had issues twice with the trash dumping completely. Both times these employees responded promptly to our issue. We have had waste connections as our garbage service for several years now and have always been very happy with the entire team.

Nikki was great! Scheduled weekly trash pickup had been skipped on our street, and she got it scheduled and completed the day of my call. She also followed up with a call back to confirm. Professional, friendly, efficient, & all around 5-star customer service.

I don’t often need to contact customer service, but recently I had a missed pick up (rarely happens). I spoke with Nikki S. regarding the issue, and not only was she was incredibly friendly and professional, she resolved the problem quickly and to my satisfaction. Nikki Sturdivant provided outstanding customer service when our trash bin was hit by a car in the neighborhood and needed to be replaced. She was extremely prompt, professional, and reliable throughout the entire process. After I called her office, she followed up quickly and kept me informed on what was happening, and we received our new bin just one day later.

It is rare to find this level of responsiveness and care today. Nikki clearly takes pride in her work and goes above and beyond to make sure customers are taken care of. I truly appreciate her support and highly recommend working with her if you ever need assistance.

We used Hearth and Hammer to help beautify an area of our back yard where a generator had been put and needed to be hidden. We also needed the paver walkway restored and the landscape fixed around the barrier wall that H and H built for us. Cass and River and the crew were AMAZING! Cass was helpful enough to offer suggestions, but cautious enough to listen to what we wanted and needed. He allowed for much flexibility in hearing the “picture” in my mind of what we thought we wanted, and then used his expertise to guide us. He started and finished the work in a timely manner. We loved working with this group! I would ask them to help us again without ANY hesitation, and would recommend them entirely. The price was fair, and I also appreciated their willingness to do most ANYTHING (build the barrier wall, fix the pavers, help aerate and reseed the grass area that had been destroyed, paint the doors beside the grill on our back porch). Anything we needed, the response was “no problem, we will take care of it.” They even installed a bird feeder I needed to put out. I loved their calm nature, but efficient and intentional work. GREAT group!

The professionalism, knowledge, and capacity to listen to our vision (and work up a variety of options) all absolutely stood out as great differentiators. Better yet, every subcontractor involved with the jobs we undertook with Hearth & Hammer met or exceeded our expectations. Rare to find that these days.

Entire experience with Hearth and Hammer was seamless. Tammy was wonderful. She took time to answer all of my questions and worked with my schedule. Her crew was very courteous and professional. They completed the project sooner than anticipated and the quality of their work was fantastic.

This is the hidden gem of construction companies. They don’t do a lot of advertising which only benefits the clients. Cass is timely, courteous, thorough, cost conscious and does quality work. I’ve used him for multiple home projects including a patio with fire pit, siding and deck work. I’ve also referred him to multiple neighbors and he’ll be doing a large construction project at our office. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with other companies and just have Cass do your project from the start.

Very professional and great service. We have had Hearth & Hammer do multiple projects for us interior and exterior. We have always been extremely satisfied with their work and also with their guidance when we weren't 100% sure on a specific design or material to use. We will definitely continue to use them for all our future projects.

We hired Cass and his crew to remove and replace our existing pool deck and walkway. He and his team were extremely professional and responsive. They did beautiful were and were very detail oriented. We could not be happier with their work and highly recommend them. We would not hesitate to hire them again and probably will.

Cass and his crew did an outstanding job with the rip and replace of driveway and patio. The 2000sqft feet of concrete was poured in a day and turned out beautifully. Appreciated Cass' quick response time - this was one of the biggest selling points. Many contractors take days to get back -- Cass was always quick to respond and be on site to look at job and inspect any changes. I'd highly recommend Hearth & Hammer!
