I have been fortunate to use Larry’s services for the past 3 years, each time to amazing results!!! His precision, professionalism, attention to detail, and eye for what will look good in a space is unparalleled.

I recently hired Larry to help with mounting things in my new apartment (please excuse the clutter in the photos of his work, my roommates and I are still moving in.) During our appointment, Larry was able to hang several tricky items in my living room and kitchen, while also guiding me on the hanging of a “gallery wall” I wanted to do myself. Since we are transitioning to a larger place, he also was able to suggest ways to hang the artwork that would allow us to add on and fill up the walls as we collect more pieces.

From this experience, I am glad to say that both kinds of services with Larry (hands on and hands off) will be amazing. Whether you want Larry to provide you with instruction so you can learn what screws to use/mounting techniques, or if you want him to just handle everything, he will deliver every time. I can’t recommend him enough!!!

Larry is the man! We just moved to the countryside and Larry made the trek from Raleigh to mount both of our 70 inch TVs. One above the fire place and one in the master (external wire conceal until we’re ready to call him back to hide them completely). We were missing a few bolts for the mantle mount, and Larry drove to the nearest hardware store and found the pieces! Personable, funny and very honest guy. Will be happy to have him back whenever we need him.

What a delight! Larry was on time and very professional. He checked in with me and took the time to understand my vision for the walls. I have been procrastinating on this project for a long time and I'm glad I found someone who could execute the work with such skill. Larry is fantastic. Larry has completed two jobs for us so far and I look forward to him coming back. Larry has great knowledge about furniture and cabinet installations, including creativity when all the parts are not there and wall studs don't line up correctly! LOL. He is very responsive, cheerful and... super strong which was important for putting a heavy shelving unit about 6.5 feet up on a wall (white shelving unit in picture below). I simply could not recommend Handydux enough!! Larry was an absolute joy to work with. He handled my original painting with care while he worked with me to find the right placement on the wall. After that, he diligently measured and marked exactly where the painting needed to go. The best part may have been the absolutely wonderful conversation we had throughout the process! Larry Ducksworth is the absolute best and most professional handyman I have ever used. I have known Larry for two years now and he has helped us with countless projects. I did not know who could possibly hang my beautiful 200 lb Restoration Hardware mirror…until found Larry & Handylux. They did a fabulous job with the mirror and several other pieces in my home. I highly recommend this company to the discerning homeowner that needs a job done professionally!

I've put many pieces of furniture together and never had this much trouble, the instructions were terrible! So I called about 5 local handyman companies and decided to go with Handydux and I'm so glad I did!. Larry showed up on time, got started right away and was very professional and friendly throughout the assembly. The hourly price is very fair compared to the other companies and I even had to make an adjustment to the appointment time and they were able to work with me with no issues. I am extremely grateful for the help and even more so for the results! The vanity looks amazing and was done in the expected time frame! I highly recommend Larry and his team aand will definitely be hiring them for future projects!

Awesome job. Precise with measurements and always professional. He has all the tools you will need. I am a repeat customer times 3 or 4 times now. I first hired him in 2021. It's 2025 and the fact that I still look him up when I need something mounted speaks to the quality of the work!

I’m seriously so grateful I found Handydux! I bought these cabinets from Habitat and I’ll be honest — once we got them home, I was worried they wouldn’t even be mountable. They felt a little makeshift, the backs weren’t super confidence-inspiring, and I kept thinking, “There’s no way these are going to sit level and actually be secure on the wall.”

Larry showed up and immediately put me at ease. He took his time looking everything over, explained what he was going to do, and came prepared with the right hardware to mount them properly. He didn’t try to “make it work” with whatever was on hand — he mounted them the right way. By the time he finished, the cabinets were perfectly level, rock solid, and honestly look better than I imagined they could!

Booking was also super easy, communication was smooth, and he arrived exactly when he said he would. If you’re in the Raleigh–Durham area and you need cabinet installation, wall mounting, or custom mounting done with real attention to detail, I can’t recommend Handydux enough. I’ll absolutely be booking again!

I had booked online to have a piece of artwork installed in my entryway. Booking was fast and easy. Larry, the installer, arrived on time. He carefully measured, and then installed the artwork taking into account the position of other art/objects in the room. The picture is secure and perfectly level. I am very pleased, and highly recommend Larry and Handydux.

I can’t say enough about this company and Larry. As an elderly woman it’s hard to find the right help, but Handydux was a true blessing. I had Larry mount 33 pictures, install my TV (he even hid all the wires and provided the mount), put up floating shelves, and install my medicine cabinet. I also opted for the vision coordination because I didn’t know where to put my pieces, and Larry guided me with such patience and a great eye—now my walls tell a story and my home feels elegant and comfortable. He arrived on time, protected my space, cleaned up thoroughly, and treated me with kindness and respect. True professionalism, quality work, and someone you can trust. Great company whatever i needed they was there

Tyler O'Neal with HRD made a complex, messy and inconvenient job (shower leak causing mold and rotten subfloor) much more tolerable. He always let me know when he was coming and when he or his crew were delayed. He was there to assess and correct issues as they arose with the demolition. The finished product was "good as new" and in some cases better. Thanks to him for doing such a good job!

My experience with Buddie and HRD was superb. We had some complicated electrical needs and he was able to address them far beyond our hopes and expectations. We have a 1961 ranch with very low roof pitch. But he was able to access areas of the attic that other workers in our home had deemed impossible during the previous 25 years that I have lived here. His installations were perfect in location and symmetry. His opinions regarding how many and where to place lighting demonstrated his vast knowledge.
We also added an outdoor infrared heating system on our porch. He very patiently and thoroughly explained what could and could not work and did a beautiful job of installation.
We will most definitely use Buddie again in the future and recommend him to our friends and family. If you have a job that is even the slightest bit complicated, I can't state strongly enough that Buddie is the man for the job.

We have worked with HRD on multiple remodel projects over the years and have never been disappointed. Tyler O’Neal was the Project Manager for our latest room addition. He was always kind and courteous and went out of his way to keep the project on track. We actually finished the project a little earlier than planned and within budget! Thanks Tyler O @ HRD for all you did to help our project turn out so great!!

HRD was great! Tyler led the project, and he did an awesome job. He coordinated the various craftsmen so that the job was completed well and smoothly. The craftsmen went above and beyond, and they kept the site as neat as possible. My master bathroom looks beautiful and refreshed. The new tile floor looks amazing. After the work was completed, professional cleaners were brought in for the work site and adjacent rooms. I am very pleased with the results. I would definitely work with HRD again and would highly recommend them for your next project!

I hired Freddie and his team to paint/prepare my townhome for sale and could not be more pleased with the results. Freddie was prompt and professional in preparing a quote, his team did wonderful work in a short amount of time, and everything was appropriately priced. I will be reaching back out to GHR the next time I'm in need of a general contractor!
