We would like to highly recommend Homestead Building Company to any future clients. Not only are we absolutely satisfied with the finished product, the process of building was handled so well. What really struck me, though, was how seriously they took the expected close date, and moved mountains to make it happen without sacrificing on quality.

We genuinely felt through the entire process that the team was trying to build the home exactly the way we wanted. Obviously changes/errors happen as the construction comes together, but they always made sure they got it right.

I would like to give a particular recognition to several employees who we worked with during the process. Ryan was an excellent customer service liaison for us. We always felt we had a go-to person who would find a way to make it work. Hannah did a fabulous design job, she picked up on my tastes and preferences quickly, and worked tirelessly, within budget. And finally Melanie, our incredible project manager who practically slept at our home those last few weeks ensuring we had an on-time close.

We are looking forward to many happy years in our Homestead Built Home!

This review is a little bit different, as I'm the Owner of Southern Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning. We are responsible for the HVAC work on most of Homesteads homes. As a sub contractor it is so refreshing to work for a builder that takes such pride and care in crafting beautiful, well built homes in a timely manner. Their projects run smoothly and efficiently with care given to the details that make a house your dream home. As a sub contractor we are extremely impressed with them and love doing their houses. Not only do they love their clients but they make a lot of effort in making sure that their subs are happy and set up for success, and this leads to projects being completed with pride and quality work. We can't recommend them enough!!

We are incredibly happy with our new home. Vlad, Dean, Paige, and Kevin are great to work with and they come through with their commitments. I highly recommend this builder and I don’t give endorsements easily. You will love their style and quality.

Homestead built our home in 2020 and we are big fans of their people, process and their end product. They were responsive to us during the build process and we are big fans of them. I would highly recommend them to any person/family looking to build their own beautiful luxury home. Their people have character and follow through...along with a lot of experience. It is a strong combination and I'm thrilled we chose them to build. We love our home.

We couldn't be more satisfied with the Homestead constructed home we purchased. We had some unique requirements during the closing process and they listened and were very accommodating. Further, they met all of our needs during the warranty period with no hassle.

We love our home and the finishes and details are second to none. We'd highly recommend them not only as a seller but a true partner during what can be a stressful process for many.

We started working with Homestead Building company in 2021 and were happily in our home within 12-13 months. The plans had already been permitted for when we bought our property however we got to customize the design to fit us. We had a great relationship with our general contractor who kept us posted on any complications that came up along the way.

We worked closely with their design team and are happy with the decisions and advice that they gave. For the most part, Homestead met most of their timelines and explained when one could not be reached.

As we got into the house, Homestead’s team was very responsive to small problems that were discovered. We were happy with the overall construction and have not had any major discoveries since moving in.

We have been in our house for over a year and have been very happy here. The team has changed over our time with Homestead but we have been pleased with all that we have
worked with. They have fixed anything that we have asked and we have been pleased with their vendors and subcontractors.

We would recommend Homestead highly for the personal touches they have provided. We had never built a house previous to this and felt very comfortable with this company.

Last year, we purchased a spec home built by Homestead and wanted to share our experience. From our initial contact with our Project Manager Bill and throughout the last year working with both Paige Cashwell and Kevin Ruffcorn, the level of customer service was impeccable. Paige and Kevin's attention to detail and follow up on any minor issues we encountered was excellent.

At our annual review, we re-hired the independent inspector who also remarked at the quality of the home, as well as the the unique ongoing commitment of the builder & staff that I had described.

Although my review is long overdue, we can attest that the quality and pride in workmanship with Homestead Building Company doesn't end on the closing date. Jon and Lauren Gaines

There’s simply nobody that is doing the custom build process better. Homestead’s communication, vision, and collaboration are top notch. Everything was clearly outlined from the start, they helped us tweak things inside and out with careful guidance, and their team was always available to help with decisions and execution of ideas. In a very competitive building space here in the Raleigh area, buyers can get lost in the sea of options for new construction, so we’re very thankful that we ultimately chose Homestead. Their goal was to make sure we loved our home … but we ended up loving all of them, too.

It is our first home purchase, and the process has been made smooth and seamless because of how great Kevin, Paige, and the group at Homestead have been to work with. Homestead helped me design and build my new custom house in the North Hills area in 2024/2025. I had selected Homestead after interviewing and reviewing the work of many of the custom home builders in the Raleigh area. They were very helpful in modifying the design of home they had previously built to incorporate all of the major must haves that I wanted in home. They were extremely organized during the whole building process, came up with innovative solutions to the issues that arise during construction and had an incredible onsite construction manager who proactively addressed items as they came up to prevent the need for expensive redos. After move service and taking care of my punch list has been excellent. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a custom home builder in the Raleigh area.

We had Homestead build our home in Raleigh and settled in July 2025. While any build process is stressful, we never had any problems with Homestead. They were responsive and timely and were very willing to listen to what we wanted and helped us realize our ideas, or pushed back when what we wanted wouldn't work. ;-) We love the end result.
While I have positive things to say about the build process, I am writing a review now to shout out to their Warranty & Quality Control team. They have been really responsive on the (very few and minor) issues that will happen in any project. They take very good care of our home and us.
I write very few online reviews and endorsements, so understand that they must have done an outstanding job just to get me to write this down.

I live in a dream home finder’s newly developed community. This morning i attempted to dispose of a trash item in a trash can within the community where I live and the project manager came out aggressively yelling at me like I was his enemy and told me that he was going to report me and try to have me charged with a felony. I apologized and left in tears. Being a single young woman it humiliated me and scared me. I feel like moving now.

Dennis recently had an item covered which technically did not fall under warranty and was missed on final walkthrough before closing. Appreciate the help.

I have been pleasantly surprised at DREAMFINDERS quick response each time I requested urgent repair under their warranty program. The team responded the same morning and issued orders for the repairs immediately. Toby has been very helpful and supper efficient. Cannot thank you enough. Monique

I had a serious issue with the distribution of air throughout my house that was leaving two rooms upstairs and one down way too hot in the summer and colder in the winter. I figured that's just how it is but my home was under warranty with Dream Builders so I gave them a call. They put me in touch with the warranty manager Toby. My warranty was like within *days* of expiring but he treated me and the situation like my house had been built yesterday. The guys come out from Carolina Air with a full array of modern HVAC diagnostic equipment and went to work. They were super professional guys and even better answered all my questions about the ins and outs of pressure balancing, filter use, things unique to heat pumps, etc. They were here for half a day to get the job done right and my house feels like paradise. So if you buy from Dream Builders call Toby because he got it done and beautifully at that.

Toby's dedication and keen attention to detail were instrumental in handling our warranty claims. He went above and beyond to address specific concerns, proactively reaching out to the appropriate vendors to ensure timely resolutions. He was also understanding and did not brush our concerns under the rug. Thanks!

I’m specifically reviewing the Warranty Department experience, and it has been excellent. Dennis Phillips has been punctual, extremely responsive, and very thorough. He asked detailed questions, stayed on top of communication, and actively drove every item our inspector identified through to completion. It never felt like anything was ignored or delayed—Dennis consistently followed up and made sure each issue was addressed the right way.

Overall, we’re very happy with the home and the warranty process. We did have a few hiccups early on in the broader build process, but those were unrelated to warranty. The warranty department, and Dennis in particular, has been a standout.

Their installation promise for quartz countertops is a downright lie. "10 days" promosed quickly became 25. Do not trust them.
