The CDG team helped us turn our house into a home - and that was no small feat on their part! They partnered with us over several months on a tight budget and with shifting requirements to effectively address our drainage and design issues. Inevitable bumps were handled collaboratively with a teamwork-makes-the-dream-work mentality. And the crew members, themselves, were stars - punctual, professional, hard-working, reliable, resourceful, patient, trustworthy, and congenial. After getting several bids to do our screened in porch, we chose Constructive Design Group because of the clarity in communication and the professionalism Bryan exuded. Not only did CGD do a beautiful job on our porch, (which includes a fireplace, sitting and dining area) the whole crew was pleasant, friendly and did a great job cleaning up every day. Bryan took great consideration in pricing the job, so that we'd have an accurate idea of what we would be spending and didn't surprise us with any major unforeseen costs. We not only highly recommend CDG for your screened in porch or outdoor living space, we would not hesitate to use them again for future outdoor living improvements....I also want to add that we purchased a beautiful concrete dining table and bench that Bryan and Raleigh Slabs created for the dining area of the porch and they are GORGEOUS. We love having a one-of-a-kind dining area!

My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the results of our backyard oasis. Bryan and his team added a large platform deck off our existing deck, custom trellises with planter boxes built directly on the deck for our Confederate Jasmin, walkway and steps in PA blue stone, custom vegetable and herb boxes framed in cedar shingles and a rock solid arbor to hold our twin size swing bed. We even ran natural gas lines to hook up our grill and fire pit! Excellent work and great customer service. We would highly recommend Constructive Design Group.

I contacted Bryan Perry with Constructive Design Group after the contractor I had chosen for a major landscaping and water mitigation project deserted the work prior to completion. After my previous experience, I was stressed and cynical, but from the moment I hired Bryan to the last shovel of dirt, he said what he would do, and he did it when he said he would. Bryan and his team did an awesome job for us. Built a nice large patio with disappearing stairs into the grass, a huge fireplace, seating wall, outdoor lighting and grill area. Bryan Perry (the owner) and his team,Diana, Sergio, Jeff, and Jamie were absolutely incredible!! To simplify reading the reasons for my recommendation, I have several bullet points to highlight the foundation for my recommendation.

1. Creative and Custom Design:

Bryan doesn’t like to put his name on something that is ‘cookie cutter’ so he will work with you to design something truly special and transformative in your space. This took some time on our part, but was truly worth it. I cannot stop looking out our patio/deck project!

2. Quality Workmanship:
A good manager hires good people to represent his/her business. From top to bottom, Bryan has done this. From the beginning, as we were designing our space, both Bryan and his design partner, Diana Woodle, listened to what we wanted, offered advice where we were coming up short, worked with us to make up our design so that we could do it in stages to help keep us on our allotted budget.

Once the project was begun, Bryan’s team to execute the project were also Phenomenal l! It says a lot when your team has been with you for a number of years and That is what Bryan has created with his team. Sergio, is a stone mason by trade and it Is evident! Our patio is GORGEOUS! Jeff is a carpenter by trade and again, he made our deck look absolutely spectacular! Jamie has an eye for detail and offered up
excellent suggestions where he found some gaps in what we had requested.

3. Price/Cost:

Bryan will be forthright in the cost of the project, even to the point of saying that we should build in a little extra as most projects face a few changes, and ours was no exception. He is not going to be the cheapest, but his prices are VERY fair especially given the fact that the design he helped us create is much more than we would have
ever imagined on our own.

While helping with the design, Bryan gave us some ideas on things that we may be able to do on our own to save on expense.

4. Construction and Clean Up:

Part of any major project involves equipment and disruption of your regular space. Bryan and his team not only prepared us well for what we should expect in terms of reorganizing our space, they cleaned up to the point that our neighbors even commented on what a fantastic job they did. It was as if they had not ever been there!

Yesterday CDG finished their 3rd project with us. 2yrs ago they did a phenomenal job extending our screened in porch and building a stone fireplace out there. Last year they did a beautiful job on our patio and outdoor kitchen. Even with all of that, our actual backyard was a disaster. It was eroding away and we had horrible drainage issues. Because Bryan and his amazing crew are so professional and do excellent work, we turned to them to help fix our yard. They even’d out our backyard installing a retaining wall and new drainage system. After laying sod, everything has come together and looks beautiful. Highly recommend! Glad we found CDG thru neighbors.

I want to share my experience with Bryan and his crew at Constructive Design Group. We had just built a new house and needed some help with hardscapes and landscaping, including rainwater catchment, controlling runoff, preparing beds, installing pavers and preparing a pad for a new hot tub. The process was great from the beginning to the final cleanup.
Bryan listened to what we wanted, his crew was punctual and hard working, they cleaned everything up, but most of all they did real quality work! We will be asking them to come back to build our pizza oven next.

A year ago, Constructive Design Group imagined and built our outdoor area: contemporary patio and pergola, outdoor lighting, bushes - all for a really decent price. We were impressed by the dedication, passion and attention to details Bryan and his crew puts in their work.
Bryan had tons of great idea and a vision for our backyard, that was really helpful in helping us defining what we wanted. This was a great no-stress experience and I recommended CDG to my friends. I am actually having CDG coming back for another project, for our front yard this time.

We had a fabulous experience working with Bryan of Constructive Design Group! We had an existing retaining wall that was crumbling and falling apart. He was able to pull from his vast experience to provide us with material, as well as design suggestions for our rebuild. He communicated well and kept us abreast of scheduling and work progress. His crew did a great job, was respectful and cleaned up behind themselves. We highly recommend CDG!

Constructive Design did a great job on our modernist outdoor patio/firepit/sandbox/pond/stairs. They were very responsive and fair regarding pricing and scheduling. The quality of the work is top notch, and their attention to detail and construction knowledge is also excellent. I would highly recommend them again.

Constructive Design did an amazing job of building a patio, grading and installing sod and planting a row of arborvitae at the edge of my property.
The attention to detail was such that it looks like the project has always been there. There is not a trace or indication that work was ever done. It looks that good! The quality of the patio itself is as good as I have seen anywhere. When the neighbors came to take a look their comment was
"Wow, you did that right!" I couldn't agree more. Brian Perry is extremely professional and flawlessly managed the project from the presentation phase to completion. His on site team was especially skilled and professional as well. They were very flexible and handled suggestions, questions and changes in stride. I would recommend Constructive Design Group for any and all backyard projects. You won't be disappointed!

The dream of having a small pool and a spa-like backyard, where we would eventually retire, was a long time in the dreaming. We've learnt that you've got to be financially and mentally prepared for renovations, 'cause big ones will put on strain on everything. Finally we felt we were ready and contacted Bryan. Talking to Bryan about the design and the modern style we wanted was so much fun. Over the years we had collected ideas that resonated with us. Bryan used them as the basis to create a design plan, which we loved.
Even though we were luckily enough to start the project 1 month before COVID hit, COVID brought all kinds of challenges. The number of rainy days in 2020 also brought the project to a standstill many times; frustrating for Bryan, his crew, and us. We lived surrounded by mountains of mud for about 9 months while concrete walls and pad were poured; heated spool was designed and dug and brought to life; fences were built; many drainage systems were designed and installed; porch ceiling was ripped down and beautiful IPE wood used instead; 2 fireplaces were hand-built; landscaping and grass added; driveway and sidewalk replaced.
Over the year, Bryan's crew became like family and traditions such as 'Chick-Fil-A Fridays' sprung up, mango lassi's were enjoyed, homemade bread was shared... The guys got used to me popping out to offer my 'opinion' - well I was working at home due to COVID and I'm a designer so I couldn't help myself! :-) We miss the guys. But we are totally loving and exploring our new outdoor space that Bryan and his guys put so much time and energy into bringing it to life for us.

After searching for months and having multiple contractors come out to our property for our new deck/patio project, there was just no vision and a lack of follow up. I stumbled across CDG just as I was about to give up. It was the best desicion we made. From our first meeting with Elena we knew we were in good hads. Bryan and Elena envisoined our space into something amazing, and beyond anything we could have ever dreamed up with a unique design that was as much functional as beautiful. We were kept in the loop through the entire process with morning meetings for my wife and I, with regular check ins on the project as it progressed throughout the day. A truly collaborative experience

The team on the property was seamless with the crew on the ground daily. Jamie, Jeff, Gabe, Ubaldo, Sergio and others were incredibly respectful and kind with exectuing our rather large project. Having not so great experiences with contractors in the past my wife even mentioned how amazing they were and never felt uncomfortbale around the crew. We looked forward to seeing them every day, and even our dog would wait by the door to get her morning belly rub from Bryan.

I admittedly am a very particular customer and its not often that a company meets or exceeds my expectations. Bryan and the whole CDG knocked it out of the park with high quality meticulous craftsmanship and customer relations.

The worst part of the project was when it was finally completed and we didnt get to see them every morning. They became a part of our family for a few months. We even had a big BBQ lunch for them on their last full day. They are not the lowest cost option, but defintely the best and we can say with 100% confidence we made the right choice and would do so again in a hearbeat.

From start to finish, Bryan and his team created an absolute dream in our backyard. We’ve traveled to many foreign destinations and he encapsulated all of our wishes in a very challenging permit heavy area of Wake County.

Bottom line is “It is unacceptable for Bryan not to love his projects and we could feel that the whole time!”

He takes no shortcuts, and if anything, he will over do, safety, details, and nuance.

I have not met anybody better than him in the business.

We were truly blown away by the quality of work, one-of-a-kind design tailored to our needs, and craftsmanship on our screened-in porch/deck build we completed this summer with CDG.

While the visual appeal of their work speaks for itself in the pictures, structurally our build was done right and often exceeded what our town inspector checks for. The architectural and engineering plans that came before our build started gave us the peace of mind that what we have is built to last.

Finally, I can’t stress enough how much of a breeze Bryan, Elena, and the crew made executing a major build as touchless as possible for us; we were never left in the dark about what came next, where materials are, how best to address the inevitable change order, or what was happening on the job each week. Over the two months the CDG build crew worked at our home, we found them to be some of the friendliest, most respectful, and above all, passionate workers we’ve ever worked with. It’s a true rarity to want to say: we were genuinely happy to welcome them each day and had no doubt trusting them on our property.

Bryan and his crew built a patio with pergola, fire pit and lighting for us. Throughout the project Bryan was outstanding--he's very professional, respectful of our time and input, and keeps open communications while the project is going on. We ran into a couple of supply problems due to COVID, but Bryan was able to get them resolved. We've had about 4 months to enjoy our new patio, and are extremely happy with it.
