We had a great experience with leaf and limb from the very beginning. The entire crew is very knowledgeable about structural pruning of very large trees. My husband and I were pleased with the results and the care taken with our trees and property. I would highly recommend this company.

We had a swath of trees get wiped out and were on the hunt for a knowledgeable person to diagnose the issue and help with preventing it again in the future. We took to some forums online and that's when we stumbled across Zeb from Leaf & Limb. From the moment we reached out, Zeb was incredibly professional, friendly and thorough in assessing our situation. He got on the phone with me afterhours, diagnosed our problem and helped us with creating a solution for replanting. Highly recommend the folks at Leaf & Limb!

Our experience with Leaf and Limb was excellent from start to finish. The estimator who came to our house was very polite, professional and knowledgeable.

The tree removal service went very smoothly and we are very happy with the quality of the work.

During the job one of their tractors made a muddy mess in our driveway, but before we mentioned it, they offered, and at their expense, had a pressure washing service come and clean the entire driveway, as well our sidewalk and porch which had not been messed up.

They were very good at communicating to us about when the service would be performed. Their office staff was very friendly, efficient, and organized.

We are very pleased with the service and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Update (since I will always be using them). I had the great opportunity to visit with the team that came here to fertilize (even better; tea compost) my many gardens.  Chris and Annie were special, super nice people, very thorough work, high attention to detail and very informative in answering all my garden questions.  The people at Leaf and Limb are my heroes, my gardens and I are blessed with your care.  Keep doing good for the planet, we believe in you!

    (past visit)
Incredible, where do I start, Thomas back at planet care central, one of their amazing Treecologists got me hooked up with his super crew of Hayden (quite the drummer), Tom (another Michigander like myself, go MSU), and Gus the spirit of the group and a natural at playing the guitar, oh wait, this is about their work, sorry, I enjoyed their company so much. Excellent work, roping up 75 foot trees like champs, or was that chimps 😊, either way total natural at climbing the heights 💪. Workmanship was artistic, never knew my trees and bushes could look so good. Excellent attention to detail, they really care about doing the best job possible and it shows. Aside from impeccable work, their knowledge base is massive, do interact and ask questions, you will be glad you did. They care for the planet and I fully support them. See you guys again and thank you very much.

I highly recommend the folks at Leaf & Limb. Patrick came out right on schedule and he was highly professional and knowledgeable on the issues affecting our tree and he gave sound advice. There were no high pressure sales or scare tactics other companies use to get you to act quickly.
Matt and Chris did the work on our tree and were exceptional! They were polite and timely and explained everything they were going to do. They were very hardworking. Afterwards, they cleaned the yard and the street from any residual dirt leftover from their work so the yard was left immaculate.
I cannot praise this company enough except to say ‘Hire them, they are well worth it!’

I highly recommend Leaf & Limb with absolutely no reservations! The entire process, from start to finish, was seamless. Craig came out to inspect my trees and provided a quote within minutes of leaving - he was very knowledgeable! Kelly and Peter came out to trim my trees and did a fantastic job. The tree I had trimmed was a very large oak tree with branches extending over my roof. Kelly and Peter were able to remove the branches without and damage to my home or porch. After they finished, they did an excellent job cleaning up, which I really appreciated. Overall, I am very satisfied with their services, and Leaf & Limb will be my "go-to" in the future for tree trimming services.

I think Leaf and Limb have a repeat customer for life in me. I appreciate the professionalism and feel like I am talking to people who KNOW what they are talking about. They are realistic if a tree is beyond saving but also ARE realistic if there are things we can do to save a tree. Many companies will just go straight to removal because it’s more money for them, Leaf and Limb seems to be in it for the trees more than the business side.

Leaf and Limb could not have been easier to work with! They were responsive, professional, and did a great job. They treated our hackberry tree for aphids and cleared the problem with 3 spray applications as planned. They saved the tree and our yard. We did not have to be home for applications, which made everything super convenient. And to top it off, it was very reasonably priced. Thanks for the great work Leaf and Limb!

Patrick came out to do a free estimate on a sick tree in my yard. Patrick was both on time and profesional. He gave me an honest recommendation on my tree. Impressive service from booking to the consultation.

Very enjoyable interaction. Initially spoke with Thomas to schedule a time to meet with their arborist. He was very helpful and quickly communicated our needs.

I met Matt, a very knowledgeable estimator who provided a VERY detailed estimate for our communities review.

In my opinion they stand apart as they really care about the work they do and the health of the trees and bushes that may need pruning. They were very open and gave helpful advice for potential issues that we should be aware of.

I'd highly recommend them for any service needed either commercial or residential.

    Dear sirs,
Your company has been doing work in my neighborhood in Cary {Carpenter village}.
I'm writing to commend your specialists for having such a strong work ethic. From start to finish.
I was able to observe them throughout the day and was very impressed with their performance and professionalism. They were polite, kind and informative which was very appreciated.
I never saw them actually take a break and their work was done beautifully.
It's a rare find this day in age to find such a fine representation of a company in any capacity.
You are very fortunate to have such a solid team to provide your services.
Sorry for not having their names but would like to acknowledge them. The team was made of two a man and woman.

Thank you for doing such a fine job.

    Sincerely
    John H

I am so happy with Leaf and Limb. They came in and expertly removed a part of one of my trees that had died off while leaving the rest intact. Matt was great to work with and he gave me a lot of tips on how to improve the health of my yard. I strongly recommend going to them for anything related to trees.

The whole team did a great job - thoughtful, communicative, and precise. I highly recommend them.

I called for some free advise over the phone, and was not an existing customer. They were very helpful, even checking further into my question and calling me back. And what they recommended worked.

We had our first experience with Leaf and Limb today. Sure won’t be our last. What an awesome company and great people. An environmental ethic totally in sync with ours. A-plus.

Intelligent men working hard with their hands for an excellent outcome. Our large bank of old azaleas were dying back, choked with honeysuckle and English Ivy. Josh, Peter and Timothy (in the photo) came out today, and worked their tails off to save our remaining azaleas. The crawled in, under and around, and hand pulled all of the offending vines and volunteers. They laid down cardboard to stop the vines returning, and added mulch for plant health and appearance. They did an amazing job. The azaleas now have a chance, and I am so thankful. We still have some light tree pruning on the books, and a tree planting, and I'll be working with them in the future. Top rating folks.

I simply can’t recommend this group enough. I was considering cutting down 7 trees close to my house that I was fearful of falling onto it. Thomas came out and talked about every possible option as well as answering every one of my questions. It was a no brainer to choose the route of keeping my trees healthy instead of tearing them down. Next came the crew of Martin, Sierra and Mattie, who were incredibly talented, kind and extremely hard working. I couldn’t believe the amount of work they did as well as the quality of job they completed. I see my trees in a completely different light due to the entire leaf and limb team and cannot wait to work with them further into the future.

Tree counsellor, Dan, was really nice and very professional. His explanation was very clear and easy to understand even I don’t know about trees. Once he checked our trees, immediately he arranged for tree treatment.
About a month later, the trimming people came and they did awesome job! One of our tree was too much brunches but they look beautiful now after they trimmed.
Thank you very much for your service!! Highly recommend!

Had to have a 120'+ 60+ year-old pine in a tight corner removed from the back yard, near a shed and two fences, plus a lot of neighbors. We did have the luxury of having the lot next door vacant with permission for access, so we had to move a fence, but it gave them great access to the tree in our back yard. Also had to have an out-of-control crepe myrtle taken down and its stump ground. Greyson called ahead and showed up as promised for the quote, and was able to fit us in within a week or so. He answered all our questions and concerns and the quote sent to us had great detail with pictures and scope of work listed. Their email communication was prompt, and clear, with caveats for weather delays spelled out. The crew showed up as promised, even though we had had enough rain we thought they'd have to postpone. They were courteous and spent time analyzing the pine and the best way to get the pine out of there. Unlike other tree crews we've seen in our neighborhood, these guys were very methodical, careful, and analytical about taking the tree down, and fastidious about safety. They limbed it from the bottom up, then felled it section by section. They were a joy to watch. The tree was so large, it took all day. They were able to take our 20-30 foot high 40-year-old crepe myrtle down in about 30 minutes and left the stump. They cleaned up with a blower and rake afterward and left. Except for our moved fence and some woodchips on our shed roof, you wouldn't have known they were there. That day, I received an email that the stump grinding would take place a few days from then. True to their word, they showed up, ground it into a nice little pile, cleaned up and left. True professionals. I highly recommend!!
(Photos before it was finally felled)

Oh, my gosh! I hired them to help me save a tree that the birds loved. They came out and did a fantastic job! It was well beyond what I had expected. I cannot believe how beautiful my yard looked after they were done! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

Absolutely terrible business. Unethical. I called them for an expert opinion on saving a tree damaged during construction in the area. They sold me their proprietary soil enrichment to be delivered quarterly, after assurances that the tree had a 70-80% chance of being saved. After the first treatment I noticed downed limbs, more issues and damage to my lawn. I contacted the arborist helping me, but he never responded. Then, they came out to do the second treatment unscheduled. I contacted them again to request further assistance because of the issues I was having but they continuous failed to respond. Then a storm came through the area and several branches came down, damaging mine and my neighbor's houses. I contacted their agent and he told me the tree was dead and that he was canceling the rest of the contract--no apology or accountability at all. He didn't even speak with me directly or return my follow up calls. I was forced to have the tree removed on an emergency basis and resod my lawn, costing me thousands of dollars. I spoke with at least six other tree companies to get quotes for the tree removal (leaf and limb of course failing to help) and they all told me the tree was long dead and it was fortunate that it hadn't fallen completely on my home or hurt someone. In their opinion it was negligent and potentially fraudulent to sell me on a chance it could be saved. Leaf and limb then sent me a bill for the two prior services and about a third. I told them that I wouldn't pay for the services that had put me in this position and reminded them they had canceled the contract without speaking with me. All of a sudden they were responsive, and they sued me for ~$200 for the two services. I offered to pay half as a goodwill gesture but they refused. In court, they leaned on the fine print disclaimer that they can't guarantee outcomes. I suppose even though those terms aren't negotiable that it was shame on me, and I should have known better. so now I'm leaving this long detailed review so others can learn from my mistake--they can do a terrible job that a majority of other companies think is negligent and will cost you tons, but then hide behind that disclaimer!! Buyer beware--in my opinion these guys are totally shady.
