I’m very impressed with the craftsmanship and transparent communication of Josh who replaced our basement stairs by essentially tearing the old
Stairs out and building himself out! He was honest about the work that needed to be done.

    Overpriced and Unprofessional -

Downfall of this job was that it was paid for in advance by the company with whom we had a warranty. $1800 to paint TWO walls in a living room and repair a 2-ft long bump in the drywall where there was extra tape.

Took a total of ELEVEN days.

Biggest disappointment: The owner Earl Swader - Despite two requests for a phone call, he did not have the courtesy to call and apologize for the way the work was going.

5/28: Job scheduled for 10 am. At 11:30 I called them. After holding for 4 mins and 43 seconds I was informed that the worker had car trouble. I was told (not asked if it was convenient) that someone would come out the next day at 1:30 pm. No apology. NOTE: A different version I heard of the story was that the worker had quit on the spot that morning.

5/29: Person scheduled for 1:30 pm. I called him when they did not show up and found his plan (without informing me) was to arrive at 3:30 pm. At 5:30 pm when no one came, I called the office. No apology. I asked for a call back from the owner, Earl. Never got a call back.

5/30: Someone came out for half an hour, put mud on the area that needed to be repaired, promised to come on Monday, and left.

6/2: Monday, no one showed up. Called the office. No apology. Told that someone would be out on Tuesday at 1:30 pm. When he came he said he didn't show up the previous day because of personal reasons (things happen, that's fine, but no call?).
I asked the office person to ask the owner, Earl, to call me. Never received a call.

6/4: A different person came out to put mud on the same area on the drywall. I was promised the job would be completed the next day for sure.

6/5: 12:56 pm I got a voicemail from Handyman Connection - It said that the person who was supposed to come today would come only tomorrow between 1:30 - 2 pm as he wanted to make sure the mud was dry! NOTE: I happened to have 2 painters painting the exterior of the house and both said the area was fully dry.  I texted the office to say I was PROMISED that the job would be completed today (already been a week) I got a reply stating, "X is also doing another job today and the rain came and he is wet and muddy and he forgot to bring change of clothes. This is actually a fact. We cannot have him come to your house in this condition and we really do apolozied" They should at least get their stories right.

6/6: Job supposed to start at 1:30 pm. At 1:20 pm I get a call from the worker to say that Lowes doesn't have Benjamin Moore. Of course it doesn't. Any "painter" should know that Benjamin Moore is only at Ace Hardware. He didn't show up until 5 so I canceled.

(I WAS OUT OF TOWN THEN UNTIL THE 15TH)

6/16: Got a call to say X not available. Postponed to the 17th

6/17: X shows up at the house without a tall ladder for a room with high ceilings. Ended up trying to reach out and paint the top trim etc by leaning out of windows upstairs.

6/18: Found painting was patchy and repair job unsatisfactory.

6/19: Repainted and fixed drywall. Left paint on the baseboards and floor.

    NEVER AGAIN.

I had a job to redo the basement that flooded and had since become not a room. Anthony Lee helped with the upgrading of the electrical panel and was quick/efficient in replacing the new panel.

Bryan Keith worked on most of the rest of the project and did a fantastic job. He went above and beyond on it at one point waiting because he caught something wrong which turned out to be a leaking pipe. Many other contractors could have easily just done the job quickly and as billed but he made sure to take his time and do it correctly.

BEWARE. I had them replace the stucco on one side of my house. They had to increase the job nearly double the estimate. It was expensive. They did it wrong and the stucco is now coming off. Not only are they not going to correct their work but they are jacking up the price to try to sell me on putting vinyl siding on the entire house.

We noticed our carpet was wet and this was the first company who was able to investigate the cause. Earl was on time, friendly and thorough. He analyzed the problem from different angles and was very patient when explaining the solution to me. He cleaned up the area really well and got me scheduled for the repair. I’m so glad we chose Handyman Connection of Blue Ash. We will definitely use them again in the future.

At first I thought the price was outrageous (but that’s what I think about all prices these days) but it was a big job and he worked hard for a whole week. I have no complaints about the job. Everything works great and he did all the little clean up details that I asked him to do. The big thing is, they came! I called other companies who said they would come and didn’t. He replaced almost all our pipes and valves, got rid of our concrete 50’s stationery tub, put in a new tub and toilet, and fixed my low water pressure kitchen faucet which I’ve had about three plumbers “look” at and do nothing. He also did a couple of little extra things for me. Poor guy. I was on him like a nagged husband!

Mike shoemaker did a good job mounting my TV. He did not waste time getting to work. He was even 1.5 hours early. Would recommend

I am so pleased with my new deck! Everyone at Handyman Connection was so kind and wonderful to work with including Illean, Randy, Rhonda, Katrina and Scott. Scott showed such great craftsmanship as he worked on the deck. He really took pride in doing top notch work. Randy stopped by numerous times and ALWAYS thanked me for my business. He so kindly returned some extra supplies for me! I highly recommend them! Julie Roell

Hello! I wanted to share my experience with Anthony Lee today. He arrived on time, was professional, polite and very skilled.
I had purchased a piece of furniture and needed to have it put together. Anthony had it completely assembled in its place, and looking beautiful in a snap. Anthony asked if he could take the empty box away for me as well. Nice. I am very satisfied with Anthony Lee and will ask for him in the future.

I needed two doors fixed in my home ASAP - two days before Christmas. I found Handyman Connection online and decided to give them a call. Earl (the owner) and another employee came out a few hours later. I even asked them about two other doors while they were here - and they were happy to fix them! I am so glad I found his company and I will definitely be using them again in the future! Thank you again.

This is the second time we have used this company and the second time Robert has completed our work. Earl and Robert are awesome!

My most recent experience with handyman is hiring them to put up a piece of siding that fell from my house and to also paint the side of the house. Mind you they used all my materials. After a guy named Richard painted the side of the house which did not match the color and looked like a 5 year old painted it, i asked them for a refund at least for the terrible paint job. The guy Josh, talked to his upper management the owner Derek Christian and they decided no refund and they would collect full payment. Shady owner, makes executive decisions for all parties involved without even looking at job or try to work out a deal. They charged me $450 dollars for an hour of work, no materials and here is a pic of the job they did. I will not be hiring them again. Quality=2/5 Price= 1/5 Professionalism 2/5. Overpriced and Dishonest. If you check out their lowest reviews you will see what i mean on Bogus Price gouging.

Anthony Lee did a great job installing my over the range microwave. He was professional and courteous and called ahead to make sure he could come early since he was running ahead of schedule. Which worked great for us!

The work was done as expected and met the quote we received. Handyman Joe was great to work with. The overhang was constructed and the flower box was installed. Arrival and completion done as promised. Very satisfied.

Anthony was able to hang three pictures up for me in a very awkward space. He was early and completed the task in less than an hour. I am very happy with how everything turned out. Exceptional work

I recently had the pleasure of working with Bryan Keith from Handyman Connection in Blue Ash, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service he provided. Bryan was tasked with fixing a rotten sink closet base, and he did an outstanding job.
From the moment he arrived, Bryan was professional, courteous, and clearly knowledgeable about his work. He assessed the damage quickly and explained the repair process in a way that was easy to understand. His attention to detail was impressive, and he made sure to address all the underlying issues to prevent future problems.
The quality of Bryan’s workmanship was top-notch. He used high-quality materials and ensured that the repair was not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The sink closet base looks as good as new, and I have complete confidence in the durability of the repair.
Bryan also maintained a clean work area and was respectful of my home throughout the entire process. He completed the job within the estimated time frame and stayed within the budget we had discussed.
Overall, I highly recommend Bryan Keith and Handyman Connection in Blue Ash for any home repair needs. Bryan’s expertise, professionalism, and dedication to quality work make him an excellent choice for any project
