I own a business in Broadview Heights, and A Cut Above replanted a large area of grass that was an area where grass never grew well. The seed came it beautiful; their custom plan to make this seed work paid off and it looks so much better! Gerald and his entire team are extremely professional, honest, and dependable. I highly recommend to any business or homeowner in our area!

Had to get my yard serviced in a pinch and they came out same day. Fair price and good work.

We have used A Cut Above the Rest for over a year now and have been very happy with the work this company has completed. They have done regular mowing and trimming, fall/spring cleanups, as well as plantings. The staff are courteous, prompt, and do a terrific job. The pricing is very fair and in my opinion, a value for the level of service provided. Highly recommend this company!

Incredibly happy with this service. They were recommended as a local provider when we moved into our new home in 2020. Gerald and his crew are quick and responsive. I caught myself this morning sort of gazing out across the front lawn admiring how nice it looked after their fall clean up this week.

In 2018 I didn't have a good opportunity to rake the final round of fall leaves due to all the rain. I was hoping to hire a one-time service to simply come rake the leaves and carry them away.

I was looking for a lawn company that was well reviewed so I selected A Cut Above The Rest. I did not have a good experience.

I printed/signed/scanned a generic word document contract for a "spring cleanup." In an e-mail accompanying the digital contract, I say this exactly:
"Basically, I still have tons of leaves, prickly balls from a tree, and pinecones in my yard. I just need to have all that cleaned up. I do not need any beds weeded, mulching, or grass cut. I also need the yard waste hauled away. I was hoping to get a quote for the service. Is that possible?"

Then one day a week or so later, I come home from work and my yard is being serviced without having heard a confirmed date for service. I still thought we were making an appointment for a quote!

The landscapers did the full spring cleanup (which included services I specifically outlined I did -not- want). At the end of the service, a manger/owner? shows up at my door and I mentioned my e-mail saying I wanted a quote first and the specific services I was looking for. He tells me, "We don't do quotes." This should have been made known before services were rendered.

I was thinking it would be around 350$ for raking and leave carry away service, but it ended up being $850! Imagine my surprise to get this kind of bill when I just wanted my leaves raked and hauled away.

I waited a long time to get the bill, and finally got a "second notice" even though I never received a first bill.

The tl;dr version is that I felt cheated by A Cut Above The Rest due to lack of communication and rendering services I outlined that I did not want. I feel like I was taken advantage of because they did not have a clear process, and now I owe $850. I could have paid a service $1000 up front for the year to do the yard all summer at that price.

We had a crazy emergency when our lawnmower broke right before we were due to host a family party! Not only did the staff at ACATR answer my request quickly, they got us an estimate and put us on the schedule the very next day! Within 48 hours our lawn was looking great and now we can have our family over for the 4th of July!

The staff are kind, polite, and did a great job! I am so grateful we could call them and I will use no one else in the future!

The crew does a great job coming weekly for my grass monthly service. I had them place mulch, great job placing it around. I also use them for snow removal and they are prompt with that, I never worry about getting stuck in my drive. I trust them with the quality work they do that I have my mom's yard done by them too!

But Cut Above was out the same day and squeezed my business into their already busy schedule because we were really over due. Everything looked awesome when it was done. One of their drivers accidentally took down our mailbox while plowing a driveway across the street from us. The company immediately reached out to us, before we even knew what happened, and offered to repair it at no cost. You don’t find many companies as honest as this one.

A Cut Above The Rest Landscaping did an excellent job in caring for my lawn. The edges were nice and clean and the grass was cut to a height that looked trim but also left much of the root system for the grass. The lawn was visually appealing from the street and very comfortable to walk and play barefoot. Thanks for the awesome service!

I recently had to research for someone new to mow my yard. I looked online for suggestions but was surprised when I could not find anyone to follow thru for an estimate. A Cut Above the Rest Landscaping did a great job servicing my lawn in North Royalton for about 6 years. The only reason we stopped using them was because we sold that house. Gerald is very responsive and accommodating of special requests. The pricing was clear and consistent. Great team and a great local business.

Gerald and his crew have been maintaining my yard in Seven Hills for the past 4 years. They do a great job and clean up well. They came through in a pinch for me this weekend on the only dry day to get my mulch and rocks in before i have to get the house listed for sale. Definitely recommend!

My lawn looks great. This is the second year that I have used A Cut Above the Rest Landscaping to mow my lawn and I have been very happy with their service. This year, I had them do the fertilization too. They also did a fantastic job with this year's spring cleanup and putting down new mulch. Very reliable.
