I can't say enough good things about Joel from Nextgen Mechanical LLC! He recently installed a new AC unit in our home, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Joel's professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail were evident throughout the process. He took the time to explain our options, answered all our questions, and ensured we were comfortable with our choice. The installation was smooth, efficient, and completed on time. There are not enough stars to rate Joel, I met him at Wolff Bros in Akron, my blower went out on this dinosaur furnace and as a single older woman all I could do was try to take a picture of the numbers on the blower. Thank GOD , Joel was standing there jumped into the conversation and was so knowledgeable and helpful asked him to come and fix the blower and he did. A week later, while in the process of someone replacing a support beam in my basement, they knicked the thermostat line, I had NO Heat, called Joel and he told me he had two jobs he had to handle. I believe it was like -25 with the wind chill factor. It was extremely cold, Joel returned my text about 7/8 and said he would come. By midnight I gave up hope, Joel said he had to install a furnace and drove a hour to get to me and arrived about 1:30am. I could not believe it. He fixed the issue and explained everything thoroughly I want to whole heartedly thank his wife for being so understanding and supportive. Who shows up at 1:30am and drove a hour to get to me. This type of service is unheard of. Joel has a 30 star rating and I will refer him to ANYONE. Joel, words cannot express how grateful I am. Be BLESSED.

We had a natural gas leak at our furnace connection. Joel was very prompt and fix the problem as fast as possible. He was very kind and courteous. He has done a couple projects for my wife and I and I HIGHLY recommend him.

Joel from NextGen Mechanical came out same day during a heat spell when the big chains couldn’t for days. He quickly diagnosed a bad capacitor, explained the system clearly, and showed me exactly what he was looking at. Thorough, transparent, and fairly priced. You can tell he cares about doing the job right. Highly recommend supporting this local small business — fast, professional, and trustworthy.

The total experience from beginning to end with Joel was amazing. It's been zero the last couple of nights and my furnace wasn't running properly. The first guy I called never called me back. I received Joel's number from a friend that used Nextgen a couple weeks ago.
I called Joel and he was at my home cleaning and diagnosing the problem with my furnace within the hour.
He was professional, courteous, and transparent with everything he did.
I will continue to use Nextgen going forward for fall maintenance service on my furnace.

Joel was very attentive to our needs with our hot water tank. Since nothing goes as it should in this house, he really had to be a problem solver. He did great work and his price was the best around. I highly recommend giving him a call.

Man where do I start. Joel fit me in his busy schedule when everyone else said it would be least a week to come out. Joel was very prompt (actually showed a little early than expected) courteous, professional, thorough and actually took the time to explain the issue. Had the AC system running like a fine tuned sewing machine within minutes and stuck around to make sure there were no other unforeseen issues. Had an issue with our AC late at night after moving into our new place—house was sitting at 83°, super humid, and the outside unit wasn’t kicking on. Joel from NextGen showed up around 1am in the morning and absolutely crushed it. Not only did he get the system running again quickly, but he explained everything in simple terms so I actually understood what was happening and what to watch for.

He’s coming back out to clean and finish up the rest tomorrow, but honestly—just the fact that he didn’t charge an emergency fee (even though I insisted), and still took the time to walk me through best practices and future steps, says everything.

Highly recommend Joel. Super professional, knowledgeable, and just a good guy all around.

I called Joel after experiencing some issues with my geo thermal HVAC system. He showed up early on a Sunday morning ready to take a look. He is very knowledgeable about what my concern was. Joel was an excellent communicator and was able to diagnose my problem and make the appropriate repairs in a timely fashion. I would highly suggest using his services again completely.

Joel was absolutely wonderful. He explained everything as he diagnosed the issue with my AC unit showing me what is normal and where something was lacking. He was very thorough. He was here over three hours working to find out what the problem was and would not stop until he found it and fixed it. After spending hours here figuring out the issue, he even gave me the option to do the work myself or have him do it. After working over two hours and figuring out the issue, he was willing to walk away and allow me to save money doing it myself. His rate was very competitive and I feel that I got more out of the money through a good education than he got for doing the work. He didn’t feel like a worker at my house. He felt more like a friend helping me out with a problem. He is the BEST HVAC technician that I have ever known and I will not use anyone else, but him ,in the future for repairs and maintenance.

Joel was honest and willing to help diagnose the issue with our furnace over the phone without even coming out to our house. We had called another hvac service, and their price was a bit high. Joel gave us an actual price for the component from his distributor that needed replacing plus a fair charge for his labor. First time I’ve ever seen the quote for the part, most companies won’t share this so they can up charge you.

And on top of this all, Joel came out on a Friday night to replace the part well past normal work hours. And he explained to a T what the issue was and even pointers on what might go next .

Highly recommend for all of your HVAC needs. Joel consistently does a great job and will make sure everything is done correctly and explained to you if you have any questions. Very responsive and there when you need him.

Joel came and fixed my furnace that kept clicking and trying to catch to blow but wasn't. He called me back and came to my home after hours on a Friday to diagnose and rectify the issue. Very respectful, knowledgeable, passionate and professional man who really cares about the work he does and does it very well!! I will be calling him again if I have any other HVAC/R problems because he got straight to the point of the problem, explained it, repaired it and didn't try to overcharge me unlike a lot of these other HVAC/R companies try to do!!

If I could give it ten stars, I would. Joel at NextGen Mechanical, what a wonderful, kind human being Joel is. Very very knowledgeable in his craft, too. He saved me thousands and thousands of dollars. My issue was my heat pump was running constantly. He came out as a second opinion after another well liked company, who will remain nameless, came out and told me all this crap that needed done. Supposedly no freon, all these leaks, said they nitrogen teste, need new coils, etc. To the tune of thousands of dollars and a wait time of 3 weeks to 3 months to have new coils made, in negative degree temps. I wanted a second opinion and called Joel.

He came out the next day and spent hours -- literally hours, testing everything and found almost nothing. No leaks at the four places they said were leaking. One very minor leak at a stem that was easily repaired. First company said no freon, Joel said it had plenty of freon. Might be down a pound or two but it was hard to tell in such cold conditions. He went over everything he did step by step, explained what it should be, what the readings were, etc. We turned the unit back on and ran it a few days. He came back a second day and re-did the tests to make sure all were still reading correctly and they were. Do we know why the outdoor unit kicked off and stayed off? No, not yet. Could be a faulty sensor or whatever. We have to wait until it warms up to do more testing and see if it happens again. Just a wonderfully knowledgeable young man who believes in doing the right thing and not killing the little people. I cannot recommend him enough.
