Terrible communication. Never did the ordered work but charged me anyway. Very poor work. Terrible app.

Overpriced. Constant rescheduling because they could never find anyone. I had a small yard and backyard had to pay 40 which is ok but they would never edge like they were supposed to and yes I did tip. The app gets you in everytine with a good 1st deal then locks you in for 3 mows

This company is nothing but a scam. LawnStarter takes money from people for services that never took place! We had an appointment set up and was promised that someone would come out to service our yard. 3 days in a row we were told someone was going to show up but they never did. So we took care of the grass ourselves. The next day after we had already cut our own grass an individual shows up claiming he'd just gotten notified that all your art needed to be serviced he introduced themselves and said that he will be taking care of our yard going forward. He takes pictures of our yard submits them to someone and then they charged us almost $50 bucks (twice) for services that they never did!! I called the customer service line and there was some foreign guy who could barely speak English tells me they need to do some sort of lengthy investigation before I could do a refund. We submitted them ring doorbell videos showing us cutting our own grass and their guy coming by the very next day. And to top it off while we're waiting for our refund they scheduled us a new service date which no one has shown up for and charged even more money!!! This company is a complete joke!!!

Have to amend my rating. The work is excellent but the reliability has not been. Three different independent lawn care businesses responded. The first got the grass cut and then we went a month without another visit - was supposed to be two weeks. Finally a second company showed up, did a great job, but also missed the two week appointment. Now a third business said they will get it done and stay on schedule. I will see!

Very great service pays attention to detail excellent experience all the way around

Customer service was great right from the beginning we scheduled, someone to come out within the next two days and everything seemed to be great. However it's been almost 3 weeks and 4 to 5 reschedules all done by the company and no one has yet mow my lawn. The requirement is for a minimum of three mows before you can cancel and given that we have yet to have any the customer service was wonderful and assisted us in canceling anyway. Based on the customer service calls alone I would love to have worked with this company. However given that no one has shown up to do any actual work yet it's been the most disappointing experience. Personally my recommendation would be that their customer service personnel Bring their skills to a more reliable company instead because this one will never see my business.

I decided to hire for lawn services this summer so I could spend my time enjoying other things on the weekends instead of hours of yard work. The first agency cut my lawn at a discount the first time and it was great! The second scheduled cut, they had equipment problems and had to reschedule. No problem. Then suddenly I get an email that my service was canceled! My grass was getting pretty tall, but LawnStarter was great and rescheduled another agency asap! They came today and did a better job than the first, all while I was at work. Now I get to go on vacation this weekend worry free! Highly recommend.

Be prepared for a 10 minute for call of 50 questions before even getting service for something as simple as a grass cut.
You have to sign up for a minimum of 3 cuts.
There will be fees associated with your cut that they do not disclose the price of until after the service is rendered. Beware of hidden fees!
Would not recommend this service to anyone!

These guys did a great job, and were fast and efficient. I’d recommend them to other people looking for lawn service. Very nice people too.

Lawnstarter is a great app just need to charge the customers more money . let the customers know you get what you pay for

Both Jacob and Lawnstarter have surpassed our expectations. Jacob and his crew have done an excellent job caring for our lawn while Lawnstarter has made communication and billing a breeze. Looking forward to continued service.

If you think this summer has been hot, imagine having to cut and trim a pretty large lawn. Yet Damian and his crew have done it beautifully, on time each week and at a very fair price. Happy to recommend them highly.

Great Concept, But Lack Of Mowers Create Poor Execution!

First Of All, If You Are Trying To Start A Lawn Care Business, But Have No Clients, This May Be A Great App For You!

Secondly, If You Are Having Problems Finding A Mower, This Is A Great App For You, Until You Find A More Permanent Solution!

Lastly, Poor Execution Description. I Have Had A Different Mower, Almost Each Time. I Have Had Skipped Mows For Up To 4 Days (10 Days Since Last Mow). I Have Had Wet Mows ( Leaving Clumps Of Wet Grass Killing My Lawn, And Also On Cars). I Have Mowers Show Up Without Edging. I Have Had Mowers Who Did Not Provide Cleanup.

The Mows Are Too Expensive (In My Opinion) For These Type Of Inconsistencies. Although, They Do Give Partial Credit For Incomplete Service. Either Way, I'd Rather Support A Local Service Provider.

We hired lawn starter for mowing and edging. The equipment used did not have a bag and the lawn care providers left grass trimmings all over the yard, missed spots and didn’t edge at all. We are very displeased with this service. When reaching out, lawnstarter said the best they could do was credit our account which was unacceptable as we have no plans to ever use this company again.

Jose was very prompt in returning texted inquiries and was timely and thorough in cutting trimming and cleaning hard surfaces of clippings. We will be increasing our frequency of lawn care with him due to our satisfaction with his initial cutting.
