The staff at ALD are courteous and professional. Nate (the technician assigned to my job) arrived on time and found the water main leak in no time. He showed me where I needed to dig and his accuracy was spot on. I would recommend ALD to anyone who needs to find a leak that is buried under concrete and earth.

I would not recommend this company. The technician was unable to use their equipment to find the leak, whether it was lack of knowledge, or the equipment did not work, I cannot say, but we eventually had to use equipment from my home before the leak was found. I also agree with another customer review with regards to customer service. When I called and suggested a discounted rate for their service, because it did not work, Monica was rude and not customer friendly to me as well.

John was very knowledgeable about our situation, and was so kind to share with us a similar problem that he had dealt with personally. The office secretary Monica, was amazing to work with, very professional and detailed about what we could expect. I would recommend them to anyone with a leak of any kind.

Rachael in the office and Cory who came to our home to find the leaking pipe were very pleasant and helpful. We hope we never need their services again but if we do we'll definitely call them. We recommend the company to an anyone who needs the service.

Cory came out to find and fix a leak on our pool. It was a temporary fix and he did a great job. Then the problems started happening. During his job, Cory stated that since it's just temporary, it is guaranteed for two weeks only. That's ok. No problem. One epoxy comes loose after 9 days. I call on the tenth to request him to come out. And they say oh, there isn't a warrantee at all. We put it on the invoice. Poor poor business ethics. The invoice is after the fact. I can't not sign off on an invoice. And Cory stated to me 2 weeks.

Update: I spoke with Cody and he is coming out to fix it.

Cory came out to look at a possible leak in our in-ground pool. He was extremely thorough looking at every inch of the pool including the liner, foundation, and plumbing. In the end it was a faulty gasket (installed incorrectly) near the steps. With his help we were able to rectify the situation immediately and stop the leak.

I had steve come out to detect a water leak in our front yard on June 1, 2018. The area where the leak was determined to be was scantly marked with paint. I asked Steve to apply a heavier amount of paint as the plumbers will be coming to dig the following week. Steve forgot to apply heavier paint and left. I called the office and spoke with Rachel and she told me Steve is in the area and will send him back and that she will call me to let me know. at about 4:15 I called Rachel since I didn’t hear from her and she informed me NO One is coming out and she said ahe sent me an email with picture. I told her I wasn’t happy with just picture she said if anyone comes out again will be a charge!!! I am extremely disappointed with this company!

Tech was great. He arrived on time and was personable. He told us where the leak was which we already knew but said the company would not do the repairs even though it states specifically on the website they make needed repairs. We spent $450 for nothing.

This company is a joke. They are rude and don’t stand behind their work. They marked the spot for slab leak and after floor was destroyed to get to the spot no leak was present. They try to blame it on the leak plugging and changing with time, but I’m not falling for that, no damage whatsoever to the pipes they marked, and leak is still present. I highly recommend finding someone else more qualified in this profession, they clearly don’t know what they are doing. But they will happily charge another $400 to come back out and throw more darts again while I continue to punch multiple holes throughout my homes slab.

Joe came to our pool today and found the leak !! He was very professional, polite, and thorough. Highly recommend this technician and company.

Rachel returned our email inquiry immediately and took good notes on my assessment of the leak. We had performed several "bucket tests" and had determined the pool was losing over 1" per day on a brand new fiberglass pool. She was able to schedule a visit by their technician in less than a week.

John came out to the house to diagnose the leak...I wasn't able to be there, but my wife said he was extremely polite and very detailed. He tested all the lines and the equipment, then spent an hour in 56 degree water looking for the leak. In the end, he was not able to locate the leak and was very apologetic. Because it's very late in the year (Halloween) we decided to close the pool; John offered to come back in the Spring to retest.

Based on their proactiveness, we are confident that ALD will find the leak in the Spring. We'd gladly recommend them to anyone.

I had a pool leak that I could not locate myself and had to add water too frequently to my pool. American Leak Detection technician arrived as scheduled to my home with a 30 minute warning call. Within an hour he had identified my leak and repaired it. He was courteous and friendly. I will call them in the future for all pool leaks I encounter. I highly recommend them to assist with your pool leaks too.

John and Nathan came out, checked everything in so much detail, explained me every little bit about the liner and the installation. Found my leak that was supposed to be found 3 months sooner by another company. And the again John is amazing his pointers, his support and expertise is just AMAZING. THANK YOU!!!! American Leak is my go to place going forward.. they are worth every penny

I would never ever use this company again! They came out to detect the leak. They marked the spot and told me where they thought the leak was and if not there, then they would keep looking. I had the concrete tore out myself where they marked and all around that mark! We could not find a pipe leaking. I didn’t want to take another chance of them being wrong again so I called a different company. The new company came out and found the actual leak and fixed it immediately. The actual leak was at least 10 feet from where they marked! I regret not listening to my instincts and getting a second opinion to begin with! The concrete did not even need to be removed to fix the leak!

ALD helped us very last minute with getting a leak detection done. Cassie answered the phone and she was AMAZING. Best customer service I've had in a long time. So helpful and patient! Thank you!

The technicians were prompt for the appointment. Only time will tell if they fixed the leak as it occurs during cold weather in the winter when the pool is covered. One technician did a thorough underwater check on all potential leaks spots. The other technician supervised standing on the side of pool. It is an expensive service call at $375 for 2 hours. If the leak has been found and fixed I will consider money well spent as this has been a consistent problem. A suggestion for company policy though is to not allow the technicians to smoke while on someone's property and performing the inspection. I will not be able to confirm if leak has been fixed until this winter so will follow up on post.

I had them come fix my leaking pool I paid $425 and the very next day it was an inch and a quarter low again! I called and was told no warranty and they could come back out for $185 an hour rate. I don't recommend them I feel I was ripped off and the scam is to come back and pay more! I'm call the BBB also.

My Aunt had them come out because her in ground was leaking and we had no idea where. They came out and said there was a tear at the bottom of pool on the hill.
They placed a patch on it and said this should take care of it. Notice 2 days later it was still leaking called them and they told me there was nothing they could do that do not guarantee there patch work!!!!
So bottom line this cost my aunt $600 and we still have a leak!!!!
Better Business Bureau will be hearing from us next!!!

Awesome people John and Joe found and repaired the leak in two lines of my swimming pool. They were the 5th pool leak repair company I tried . True professionals they really know what they are talking about and went above and beyond. They actually straightened out all my pool pump and motor and heater and salt water system. Now it looks professional and will pass inspection also if I ever wanted to sell the home. Can not say enough about their work this and attitude of making sure everything is done RIGHT. They even came back on a Saturday to get the work done because I needed the pool to be operational quickly. Thank You Both Again and American Leak! My brother has a leak detection business in Florida and he said they were the BEST for finding pool leaks. He should know! Thanks Again!
