I’ve always loved Straders and didn’t mind paying a bit more for items, more customer service, support local. However this past weekend changed my mind. The girl who checked me out was rude and made no effort to help when I had a question. The excuse was having no walkie talkie. I had forgotten an item and when I went to go back in, same girl locked the door right in front of my face. This was at 5:45, closing time was 6:00. I understand they were trying to curb having a full store so close to closing time, but really unacceptable. Straders needs to train their help in customer service, there are many other greenhouses to patronize.

I wandered around looking for a small bush to buy to replace one that died from a parasite.
I didn't see and but then a very nice smiling employee in his 50s I'd say offered his help and he took me to the 3 boxwoods on hand. He was so helpful in just generally listening6 to m tale of woe and giving great understanding an advice, it just really made certainly my day
It was just, IDK , like people working in stores used to be.
I was glad to have gone to this local gardening store only 6 or so blocks from home and not to the big DIY ones in the burbs, which I will certainly have occasion to frequent.

Love this place! Always has such an incredible selection of house plants, vegetables, herbs, fruits, little trees and more. Always friendly, helpful service, advice and you can't avoid the adorable little canine dweller, Huckleberry (if you're lucky).

Such a great store. They have a cat and little dog that hang out there. The selection of pots and plants are amazing and ever changing. I think I visit about every other week to pick up a little succulent as a treat.

For the Dublin location: Beautiful flowers, absolutely horrible customer service, 8/10 ladies working were extremely rude including the one in checkout line who said our flowers smelled bad- way to sell a product. Choose somewhere with friendlier staff, I’ll never go back.

While this location is on the smaller side compared to other Strader’s locations, it’s the staff here that make a difference. Super friendly and knowledgeable.

If you need smaller items, both in size or quantity, this location is great. If you need larger items or quantities, go to one of the larger locations.

Great selection of all types of plants and pots, so unique, I love this place!

Great place to get all your gardening needs!

The smallest of their locations that I have been to but still great. It may not have the full variety as the larger locations but it's never crowded. The staff are friendly and helpful. And if you are lucky you may encounter Huckleberry, fluffiest small dog ever, and a cat, which I haven't learned its name yet.

The staff are very friendly and give good tips to care for plants. The plants themselves are pretty and there's a wide selection. The big downside, which I don't know if it is just bad luck or a chronic issue, but there is a huge problem with gnats within the plants and the soil at the store. The plants tend to have gnats within the soil, and the soil bags are ripe with hundreds of gnats. When I opened the one I bought literally a swarm of gnats greeted me. I'm glad I was outside when I opened it. Overall be cautious of gnats but it is a nice store if they can get the pests better under control.

Every Mother’s Day I receive beautiful flowers from this location. They have been quality and I’ve received so many compliments on them. They continue to provide pleasure and enjoyment throughout the summer and into early September.

There's not much parking space here, but that's my only complaint. The employees were polite and helpful, the shelves were stocked well and prices were clearly marked. Plus, they were gathering seeds to donate to a program to get city kids out in the garden. I love it. All in all, this Strader's Garden Center gets an A+ in my book. Yes, I have a book...

Absolutely great customer service. The three employees on 3/5 helped me with my plants / repotting them due to fungus and potting issues. They spent over an hour discussing all different topics with me. I would recommend anyone to this location- very quiet and there’s a lot of one on one time with the employees if needed

Very friendly and helpful with quality products for sale. Weird side note but “smells nice” keeps popping into my head right now lol. It’s a great nursery on the small side but I think that’s what leads to the extra helpfulness that I always feel like I get at this store:)

Came to look for some soil and some pods found some use one for like .60 that gave them to me for free hehe lovely place beautiful item’s and great people 💯🖖

Friendly, professional service. Well thought out indoor plant setup. According to needs of light. Also, a very adequate and reasonably priced indoor pot selection. Plenty of colors, themes and textures to match your decor.
I didn't check out the nursery, as I was there for indoor plant needs.

I went in to get a peace lily and I was blown away by the variety of plants in this small little garden center. The customer service was beyond exceptional. The employee took me around to find the perfect peace lily, a nice pot, and recommended dirt. She answered all my questions with expertise and now I feel confident I won't make the same plant caring mistakes. Later found out that she had only been working there for TWO WEEKS!!! The GM and other employee were also extremely kind and helpful. I will definitely be back in the future for all my plant needs!

Bonus points: the dog greeters were absolutely delightful and I'd give 6/5 stars if I could, because of them.

Wow I never write reviews, but this was worth it. The employees were so genuine, kind, and helpful. The entire atmosphere is awesome. I am a total plant amateur and walked out with my peace lily, a new pot, and soil very excited. The great music and adorable shop dog were an added bonus. 10/10 recommend.

Anna, the cashier-slash-sales rep, answered all of my questions with kindness and exceptional customer service. She was sweet, attentive, and truly a pleasure to interact with. Jessica, on the other hand, was rude and abrupt.

I had one last question before checking out. It was Sunday, 6 p.m. I had entered around 5:45 p.m. to get a last-minute plant and maybe an accessory or two. At 6 p.m., when I went to ask my question, Jessica abruptly stopped me and said, "We are closed," essentially kicking me out.

Anna stepped in and assured me, saying, "No, it's okay, I can take care of you." This scenario perfectly illustrated poor leadership, management, and customer service. Despite this, Anna exemplified what Jessica should embody as a manager and leader of her store.

As someone who leads a team and manages an operation daily, I was deeply disappointed. It was disheartening to witness and left me at a loss for words. Having spent over $2,000 at the Upper Arlington location just 2 weeks ago, this treatment at the Grandview location was shocking.

A big shout out to Anna, who deserves not only recognition but a raise. She is the sole reason I completed my purchase and the only reason I would consider returning to this location.

Love, Love all the improvements at this Straders in Grandview!. The employees are super helpful and knowledgeable. It's a little store that packs a big punch with tons of indoor plants and fun, weird varieties too. They also have tons of different pots and they'll put your plant in pot w dirt too if you're in a hurry and buying a gift. And then the seasonal inventories are great. Right now beautiful hanging baskets. A great place to buy a gift.
