This is a 5 star for the honesty of the plumber Holden Snyder he didn't solve our problem but told us what might be wrong with our plumbing and gave us two options to fix it he isn't sure which one will fix our problem our problem is a oder problem which is hard to detect.

They came when they said they would, and carefully explained their installation as it progressed. Didn't go over their estimate, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Great team, great work!

I thought Robbie was very courteous and professional throughout. Work was done quicker than I expected and will recommend to others in need of plumbing work.

Quality service, thorough and knowledgeable. Made sure everything was fixed and cleaned up. Helped save me alot of money in the long run and especially with their help with financing options. Will be referring to family and friends in the future. Thank you!

Technician only checked 1st 10ft of my outside drain, not the remain 110ft to see where there may or may not be other blockages or not and minimize the repair and then wouldn’t quote a repair but a full 125ft replacement .. would not recommend or use them for plumbing.

What a great company to work with! They got us in same day, they were 15 minutes early to the five hour time block they provided and fixed the problem within an hour. Kudos and THANK YOU

Called to have someone come out and determine where water leak was coming from. Plumber determined kitchen faucet was leaking and causing problem. Quoted $761.33 if he purchased faucet and installed. $448.17 if we purchased faucet. He would deduct $99.00 trip charge making the installation of sink faucet ($139.00 retail), $349.17. Gave the job to someone else!!!

Disappointing experience overall.
1. Initial response - this part was actually impressive. I emailed on Christmas day and they called to schedule the appointment shortly after. I didn't expect anyone to call until after the holiday.
2. I called after the holiday to make sure they actually worked on reverse osmosis (RO) systems. The lady was not sure, but whomever she communicated with advised that they do.
---- I contacted them because of their favorable reviews and the fact that their website states that they work on RO systems -----
3. While the website shows their office in Gahanna, the tech said they actually come out of Groveport. The tech introduced himself as part of Five Star Home Services, not Gahanna Plumbing & Drain. The tech's van, unlike what is shown on the website, does not state Gahanna Plumbing either.
4. The tech was a very nice person. He advised that they don't work on RO systems very often. When they do, they're normally installing them, not servicing them. My problem was with the pressure in the tanks. The tech was not sure what the pressure in the tanks should actually be.
5. The tech advised that he could try to pressurize the tanks but he was not sure it would work. He would charge for 15 minutes including the trip fee of $99. The cost of 15 minutes was $100, meaning they charge $400 an hour.
6. The tech advised that he was not able to pressurize the tanks, but did not charge for the attempt. I still owed the trip fee.
Here's what I think really happened. Five Star Home Services, as the corporate entity behind "Gahanna Plumbing & Drain", is ultimately behind a website that advertises many types of services. Whether the techs can actually work on the systems they are sent to repair is a whole different story. When I called to confirm that they do specialize in RO system service/maintenance, the lady should have advised that they don't specialize in it, but they do perform installations. That would have been the correct answer.
So now I have to call another entity while I'm out $99 for a trip fee that yielded no result. -
Unlike the bigger more popular Columbus drain cleaning companies, Gahanna Plumbing told me over the phone what their initial costs were and gave me an estimate before doing the work. Jacob was very polite, showed up with the appropriate options in equipment and was experienced to know how to approach the line clog I had. He stuck with the task and completed as he said he would do. I would recommend Jacob and Gahanna Plumbing for drain clearing problems.

BEWARE - this business took advantage of my elderly neighbor. they OVERCHARGE significantly for service. simple 15 min job they charged almost $1000. stay away! there are plenty of reputable plumbers that charge reasonable prices.

Brian was amazing. I needed a new valve installed for my refrigerator water line and it was evaluated and installed in an hour. So speedy and done well. Thank you!

We had a great experience with them! They were able to come the day after I called for an appointment. The plumber fixed our 3 issues promptly and was friendly and explained things clearly. The last few plumbers we have used were disappointing, so we are relieved to have found this company.

Friendly engagement from the first call. Robbie, the plumbing technician, was excellent at his job but even better as a human being. My son kept peppering him with questions while he worked. Robbie patiently answered as a teacher while he worked. He was so kind. I will absolutely be calling Gahanna Plumbing & Drain again.

No, I was not satisfied with your price — nearly $400 ($394) to unstop a kitchen drain! That was ridiculous! Refusing to give an estimate over the telephone is only a way to be non-transparent about the cost of service. You wait until you are at the location and the frantic homeowner is in front of you, then you spring a price-gouging number. The homeowner agrees to whatever the cost out of desperation. Thank God I refused your service and called around and found a small plumbing company who quoted a price over the phone. The quote for my simple clog job was $169. He came out, did the work (in 15 minutes), and I was a very satisfied customer. I understood if the job proved to be more complicated, the cost would increase — that was fine. You should consider that approach. Your customers will appreciate knowing in advance to not waste your time or their’s.

Jacob was very helpful in fixing my issue with a couple clogged drains. Especially with me being a new homeowner, I was definitely put at ease with his help.
Thanks Jacob!!! -
This is not my first time receiving service from Gahanna Plumbing and Drain. I received excellent service from Rodney which made me a return customer. Both Rodney and Nick arrived on time and were very courteous and polite. They fixed my problem and explained what caused it. Nick also informed me on how to prevent some of the lint buildup in the drain from happening again which I really appreciated.
