Someone from JT Tree Service and Removal came by for an estimate today. He knocked on the door, and I noticed he didn't have a mask on. I asked him through the door to meet me in the backyard and to please put on a mask. I then went to the backyard. He walked from the front of the house to the backyard and he still wasn't wearing a mask. I asked him again to put a mask on. He said, 'I'm okay.' I said, no, I needed him to have a mask on. He said he's 'fine outside' and I said again that I needed him to have a mask on when we are interacting in the yard at the same time. He said he didn't 'have any masks.' I said ok, then I can't work with you. Safety has to come first in all aspects of how a company does business. This interaction did not show this company putting safety first.

We are very pleased with the job that John and his crew did, especially considering the tight nature of the yard. This very difficult tree was HUGE and nestled up against a building. They took care of the initial break on Saturday, ensuring our safety and took extra care to take down the rest of this three trunk beast! Thank you guys!!!!

John and his crew came and removed a tree that had fallen in our yard. They came out the same day, cut down the remainedr of the tree and removed it all. The service was the best. I cannot not recommend enough. Don't hesitate to call them. A++!

The crew was great! I read where there was issues with responsiveness, but these guys are busy because of the quality, and personable touch they put into their work.We had a couple disconnects with communication, but John and team still beats the competition on cost and getting to you before the other people can!! Once they were here, they actually did more than we expected!! They even threw in some entertainment. Highly recommended!

John came out and gave me a estimate on 3 trees being removed and 1 in a hard area at a good price couldn't refuse. He climbed the
hard tree and got it down without hitting my house or fense. Clean up was 100% great group of guys their personalities made the day fun with laughter. Will definitely recommend him. Thanks guys

Extremely professional! John and the entire crew personally introduced themselves, used manners then entire day, and catered to changing requests about keeping some of the wood! Not only great communication, but they also had the best price by FAR! Some of the other quotes were over double!

Hired them in March, it is now September and the job still has not been completed because he is too busy with other jobs. He states the earliest he can complete the job is November. Would never recommend them.

Our property was wet in March; however, John was notified in June that our property was dry and he has had excuse after excuse as to why he couldn’t complete the job. He completed the two small trees (and was paid for the partial job completed) but has not returned to complete the two large trees (and of course gave us a bundled price to remove all four trees). Lesson for anyone using them .... do not pay until the full job is completed. I have a full account of all communications with John to back up this review.

The crew for jt tree service very hard working. They were not afraid to get in and clear out all of the over growth we had on the property. And they all were accommodating if we had questions. They also came back the next day to finish the cleanup d/t a full truck the first day. Thanks for the hard work you all put in.

We had 3 large maples cut down, 2 birch cut down, and 2 small pines cut down - all 7 trees to the stumps.
Our yard was not torn up, which we greatly appreciated.
The logs and trunk left were stacked so our yard was not blocked from use.

We will gladly call JT Tree again- he and his crew were all great!

Unprofessional. This is 1 of 3 businesses I contacted to get an estimate to have 3 full-size elm trees taken down. The trees had all died off rapidly from Dutch elm disease and became a serious hazard as they were right next to my house. I contacted JT's and set an appointment. I stood in my neighbors driveway and watched the company vehicle drive slow past my house, turn around in another neighbor's driveway, and then drive away without ever stopping. I even tried to flag him down.

I contacted the company later and was told that he didn't stop because he had been at my house before for a quote on trimming a year prior and I had the work completed by a different company. Petty....it's just business. It apparently emotionally affected him so much that he decided to ditch the appointment.

Competent tree service is a dime a dozen. I recommend looking past this company. I also noticed (and reported) the company using family to pad their reviews on Google.

I called to request the removal of 3 trees in my backyard. One was growing from underneath the side of my garage, one was growing into my wire mesh fence and the other was growing into the power lines. The owner came out the very next day after I called, did the estimate and arrived two days later to remove the trees. It was quick and stress free for me! I would definitely recommend this company !!

Unprofessional & irresponsible, hired JT tree service in August 2023 to remove a tree. During the removal they dropped a section of the tree & damaged our property. We have security footage of the incident & all text & voicemails from the owner John in which he sent us pics of the damage & he repeatedly stated he would pay for the damage. After months of excuses of why he hadn’t paid yet or contacted his insurance we took them to court .. the judge ordered them to pay for the damages. They still have yet to pay the court ordered amount.

JT Tree service did a excellent job on trimming 2 very large trees. They cut out dead branches and thinned out the trees. Very professional. They did the work shortly after I contacted them. They cleaned up the limbs and brush to the point where it looks like they were never there!! Very happy with their work.. Would not hesitate to call them again.

Wow! Beyond impressed with JT tree service and removal. Within an hour of contacting them, they were at our house, with a crew of 6 men and equipment, cleaning up the mess from the wicked winds. Huge branches from the tree had nearly missed our house and fell on our front lawn, blocking our driveway. JT was kind, professional, honest and above all looking out for the safety of our family. He thoroughly explained every detail of the condition of our tree and why it needs to come down. Their work was impeccable. They had the whole area cleaned up in under an hour. Every single branch. They used rakes and leaf blowers after the removal. You'd never be able to tell that there was a disaster on our front lawn. He even showed my 7 year old son some of the equipment. Their prices are also reasonable, fair and honest. I called a few companies before, and without first seeing the damage, were quoting me an obscene amout of money, to remove the tree limbs. We will definitely be using their services in the future. Thank you JT Tree service and removal!! You saved the day!

Cox Trees came out quickly for an estimate, which initially seemed promising—but everything after that was extremely frustrating. The job kept getting delayed with multiple excuses, including being told their crew couldn’t work due to employees being hungover. That alone was unprofessional.

Communication was even worse. I had to reach out every single time just to get an update—no proactive follow-up from them at all. It felt like I was chasing them just to get basic information.

Based on my experience (and similar recent reviews), I would strongly recommend avoiding this company if you value reliability and professionalism.

Had them mow our lawn a couple weeks ago and paid them. They randomly show up a couple days ago and mow our lawn again without permission while we’re sleeping and then they requested money through cashapp later after not discussing or even knocking on our door. They then show up to our house and ask for money again. Weirdos
