This review is long overdue. In October of 2022, Alternative Plumbing installed a new main water line for my home. The original, 60 year old copper line was leaking 50 gallons a day, and I felt it was time.

Alternative came out in the morning to dig near my meter to first see if there was an issue with the connection. There wasn't one, which meant it was the line. So, I gave them the OK to install a new line. The rest of the crew showed up with their ling boring machine a short time later.

By the end of the day, I had a new line and the big hole in my yard near the meter was back filled. It was almost as if no one had been there--that's how low-impact their service is in terms of the yard! I was impressed by their professionalism and their competence. The crew was a good bunch of guys. I highly recommend Alternative. And the price was reasonable.

Highly recommend this company! They did an EXCELLENT job on a brand new water line for me, at a very great and fair price! About a week later I noticed that the water pressure wasn't coming out strong, so they sent Cody out to check on it and he was able to fix the issue super fast and didn't even charge me since they had just come out recently to do the water line. Highly recommend them. They are fair, honest, and do great work. You won't be disappointed by choosing them for all your plumbing needs.

Bryan and Steve removed cement laundry tubs, put new drain lines plus shut offs, new laundry tub, new faucets plus much more in a very timely manner. Very professional and pleasant

I have used this company in the past with great results! So when this 2025 cold snap came through I thought i took preventive measures, but still had an unfortunate burst. I called, they came, and shorty after I was back in business. The cost was very reasonable under the circumstances. They do let you know any potential costs upfront so you are not shocked. I was shown what needed repaired and the final fix. They are very professional, try to minimize any mess, and do a great job.

Terrible plumber. We hired them to connect our city water line to our house. They failed to contact the city as required and did not flush the main line. They plugged EVERY fixture and appliance in the house, including dishwasher, washing machine, hot water tank, all faucets, everything with dirt and stones. We were with out water until the next day. They flushed everything onto our new basement carpet, and on walls and ceilings in the showers - mud and gravel. They promised to take care of painting and carpet cleaning and never did. We took them to Maumee Court and won a judgement against them, although it was not near enough to cover our costs and aggrevation. They tried to blame us, but we did nothing. They are the so-called plumbing professionnals. The Judge agreed. The woman part owner is the worse. Nothing but repeated lies. They even tried to lie in court and we had photos of everything. You should ask yourself if you really need the aggravation of what we had to go through. Find another plumber to avoid what we had to go through.

To their reply - Yes, and I am still waiting 23 years later for full compensation for the damage your workers caused to my property and to apologize directly to me and not in this post. That’s so lame. You can take time to post your lies, yet not contact the customer and take responsibility for your actions. And the reason why your workers caused this damage was that they did NOT contact the City Water Dept for them to clear their line at the meter head PRIOR to you turning the water on to our house. You even admit to this in your reply stating you have changed your procedure in clearing the lines. I’m glad I could educate you on what you did wrong, Mr. and Mrs. Expert Plumbers. When a business screws up, take responsibility and make it right with the customer. What is so difficult for you to understand that concept. Bottom line - You and only you forced us to take you to court for damages. A Judge agreed with us and a judgement was made against you. It’s all in court records at the Maumee Municipal Court for everyone to see online. You totally own this.

Alternative plumbing came out Friday evening on a holiday weekend and diagnosed my water main break. They discussed my options for repair and had a crew back Monday morning to replace my water line. I was very impressed with the speedy service. They do quality work at a fair price.

We had a water line break on our side of the tap Joe and Colin repaired the ruptured line they were very efficient very very respective did a wonderful job of cleaning up the work site the only thing that they left for me to do was to plant grass seed was very very happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone

I can't recommend these guys highly enough. There is a difference between the attitudes of disgruntled employees who don't really care about the work they do and the professional, runs-in-the blood enthusiasm the guys at Alternative bring to a job. Keep it up!

This crew was awesome with great communication, pricing, and timeliness. After a month of having the city look at bubbling water under our driveway, they stated there was leak in the pipeline between the city and house connection with risk of turning off water. Alternative was able to provide an estimate at half the price of another company within a week. They completed the work of boring a new line, providing code required valves inside, and minimal concrete repair within a day. They did this with little interruption while I worked from home and dealt with an irate neighbor(unnecessary) in a professional manor. HIGHLY recommend this company!

These folks are fast to help you, careful with your home surrounding the project and the existing plumbing while making necessary repairs.
Michaela scheduled an appointment and graciously got Conner and Jacob to my home as quickly as possible the same day. Repairs were made quickly at a fair fee.

I cannot say enough good things about Alternative Plumbing. I leave on a slab in Lambertville and there is ALWAYS something plumbing happening. Let me start with the team that answers the phone are friendly and take notes to get you to the correct team. I had one team come out to try and snake the back up.. Conner 1.0 and team were on time talked me through what they found, cleaned up and directed me to a solution. Team two.. Bobby and Conner 2.0 ... absolutely amazing. They had to dig up the slab in my laundry, found the break that Conner 1.0 described, they repaired and re-concreted in 48-hours. Thank you team. I can finally do laundry at home without my pipe backing up. -- This was a very stressful adventure the whole team was amazing.

I've used Alternative Plumbing in the past and they've always been wonderful. I had them come again last week and Rick did a great job. He was professional, efficient, courteous, fixed the problems I had with my toilet and sink, and made sure everything was working correctly and cleaned up afterwards. I'll continue using them when needed.

We had Alternative Pumping Plus come out to run a new water line for us last Friday. They were excellent! My husband called them to schedule and they were out the next morning by 9am and had our water working by 4pm. Amazing since we are on a slab, had everything cleaned up even rolled up our hoses.
