We have a large lot with lots of mature hardwoods. We got a estimate from Charter Oaks and scheduled our project. We knew that it would be awhile, but wanted to use someone highly recommended. Jennifer called us prior to our scheduled date to see if they could come earlier than the planned date. The crew was professional and went quickly and methodically through the scope of work we requested. The clean up was spotless. We were very happy with the results and will have them back to help us with other projects.

We had a huge white pine removed from right next to our house. Charter Oaks was very simple to work with and they were super flexible.

The work done was quick and efficient. I received several quotes from different companies to have the tree removed and they were the quickest response and the most reasonable price. The price is great for the quality of work. Will use again for any future tree and landscaping projects for sure.

I hired Charter Oak because of all the great reviews. Let me say this first, they are very nice people, and they can cut trees. But they ruined a beautiful crabapple tree in the front of our house with unnecessary, aggressive cutting. It happened within minutes. By the time I got out of the house, 1/3 of the tree was gone. I thought it looked terrible, but I didn't know how to react. I wanted to believe that they are the professionals and knew what they were doing, plus the crew were really nice people, so I didn't complain on the spot. Then my husband saw it and was shocked how much they took off, as are my neighbors. One of my neighbors even said "why don't they just cut it down?" It completely destroyed our view and privacy, and we are not sure if the tree would survive after having suffered so many cuts. They have also been super aggressive with our lilac bushes in the backyard that left them looking like sticks. We had another arborist take a look afterwards and he said the crabapple is not going to recover the branches they cut and he's not sure if the lilac would come back either. I called, messaged Charter Oak multiple times afterwards, sent photos, and never got a call back. We are heartbroken and distraught because this is so permanent. We regretted every hiring Charter Oaks. They really should train their crew better, and ask before they whack the chainsaw.

This team was amazing. We had a pretty technical removal of a 70' honey locust that was surrounded on three sides within a backyard courtyard. It was precariously close to the house. This required a crane removal from the front yard and lifting the pieces overtop of our roof. Needless to say, we were anxious about it. I got at least 6 quotes that varied in price. Charter was very reasonably priced and conveyed a level of professionalism and history that far surpassed those supplying a lower bid.
This was important given the scope of this removal. Charter provided all insurance documentation and I reviewed their background, finding they've been doing business for over 30 years. Removal and stump grinding went smoothly, the onsite guys were friendly, courteous and professional. Will definitely use again.

Charter Oaks did a great job removing a tree from my yard. The crew was professional and efficient. They cleaned up all of the debris at the end. The price was fair and the work was top notch.

Charter Oaks recently completed 2 tree removals and stump grinding and trimmed the rest of our trees at our office. Needed our very large front maple tree trimmed up and away from the home and another small dead tree removed. Charter Oaks arrived on schedule and for a very reasonable rate. They were very professional and cleaned up everything when finished. Highly recommend them.

Charter Oaks showed up on day one with all necessary equipment and a full team. They got to work immediately. Everyone on the team had a job, we're safety conscious, and no time was wasted. Upon completion, my trees look great, my yard is clean and I would highly recommend this company!

I recommend the company. They made the process smooth and easy. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Pricing was reasonable. I didn’t have to be home for the estimate nor the tree removal. The workers arrived before 8 am. Took down a portion of my wooden fence. They put the fence back together when they were done. I can’t tell that it was removed. They cleaned up afterwards. I had them leave the stump. It’s actually beautiful to look 👀 at. 😊

I’ve been using Charter Oaks for over 10 years, and they always do an excellent job! Most recently, they trimmed my bushes and removed a large tree that was close to the house. The crew did great work from start to finish — professional, careful, and thorough with cleanup. They even had me come out to look things over and made a few extra trims to be sure everything looked perfect. I highly recommend Charter Oaks for any tree or trimming needs!

I used Charter Oaks for the removal of a dead River Birch Tree that was very close to my home. The estimator came, was on time, and answered all my questions. He provided me a quote for cutting the tree down and removing the stump. I then asked him about three small stumps in the back of my property and he threw them in for the same price. I hired them and got on their schedule which was close to a month - a sign of a good company in my opinion. The crew came when they said they would and did a great job and left the area clean. The stump grinding was a few days later and they too did a great job. I hope to not lose any more trees, but Charter Oaks will be the first call if that happens.

John and team have been amazing to work with. Communicative, flexible, and reliable. They designed an incredible patio space as part of our future plans and did a similarly great job on softscaping install this year!

Traditions did a fantastic job with our studio re fresh! John sent us a clear plan of what he recommended and then we were able to add and delete from there. He met us at the property to walk through and verify our needs and requests. Once we were all in agreement the work happened within a week! We are very happy with the work Traditions did at our studio and would recommend them to anyone with a landscaping project large or small!

I called them twice and they never called back. Very unprofessional. They could at least give a courtesy call. I would not recommend them.
