I hired black rock to install a 500+ foot' sanitary sewer main extension in a public roadway so that it could service my privately owned property , Cory, the owner of black rock was exceptional in regards to responding quickly Each and every time I reached out to them, they also went above and beyond all I could expect And helped me with a few other small things around my property since they were already there with the equipment.
I feel that I now have a friend that I could rely on who I can call to help me with my future expansion and utility developments and who isn't out to just rip me off for as many dollars as they can squeeze out of me..

Black Rock Underground just re-piped a sewer line for me, and they did a great job. My wife wanted me to share that she was very impressed with the way their team left the "job site". There wasn't a huge mess to clean up, which I expected. Very impressed.

The guys just left and this area appears almost undisturbed. They were friendly and professional. We ran into city obstacles, and they managed to overcome the issue. Worked quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this company. They are top notch!

Had my sewer line replaced something like 59ft out to the middle of the road.they had to close the street. These guys are fast friendly professional and organized. Got the job done in a day, including inspection and backfill!!!! BLACKROCK UNDERGROUND ROCKS!!!!!plus they have some cool equipment.

I can't say enough good thing about Corey. His crew recently repaired a sewer line for one of my listings and they didn't do a good job about putting the soil back. Called him the 1st time and he sent his guys out to level out the yard and re-seed, even though it wasn't in the specs. Buyers did a final walk thru and wasn't happy w/ the how the yard looked and I called him on it. He personally came out and fixed it and made it right and even fixed a piece of the sidewalk that was damaged. That is true Customer service!! Highly recommend him!!

Owner Cory Moore helped us clarify our Notice of Sewer Non-compliance with the City of Portland followed by correcting the situation. Though the city's map was in error of the depth of the sewer's main line in the street (too shallow) he was able to work with the city in finding a solution. The city's directive resulted in higher costs, but he was affordable and concerned about our expense. Subsequently the pump alarm sounded twice and he came out both times on the same day to trouble shoot and correct the situation on his own time, once on a Friday evening after the end of the workday. I found him to be honest, punctual, communicative and very professional. I highly recommend him.

Black Rock Excavating did a very excellent job on replacing the sewer lateral waste pipe in our front yard. The work crew was very helpful and friendly and worked with the city of Milwaukie to make sure all rules were in compliance.

These guys are the best. Have had them out twice to fix the sewer and am very impressed with not only their work, but their attitude as well. Called them late last night, left a voicemail. Cory called me first thing this morning and Brit was out to clear the sewer an hour later. Highly recommended outfit.

Apparently BlackRock does good work, if you can get them to show up. A good friend and neighbor had hired Cory to fix a leaky basement wall. The fix was apparently fast and reasonably priced. Based on this recommendation, I decided to call Black Rock when our basement developed a similar problem. I scheduled a time for Black Rock to come give us an estimate and then he never showed up for the appointment. When I called to try and reach him or his office, I couldn't reach either. When the office person finally called back after I left them multiple messages, she was apologetic and told me she would reschedule for the following week, same day and time. Today I once again showed up waiting for Cory and once again a no show. When I called the office to find out what had happened, I was told that I was wrong and she was supposedly going to check with Corey about rescheduling. Then one might ask why if that was the case (which it was not) why I wouldn't have gotten a call back from her within a week. Poor communication and bad customer service as far as I'm concerned.

I have a water drainage problem at my home in Beaverton. A friend who has worked in site development heard about my problem and recommended I call Corry Moore at Black Rock Underground which I did. Drew and Joe with Black Rock were at my home today. I could not be more pleased with their professionalism and friendliness. They accomplished the task at hand and their charge was very reasonable. My sewer line had cracked, was no longer aligned with the main line, & roots could be seen on camera. Black Rock came out to evaluate the job & sent me a bid within a couple days. I accepted the bid, scheduled, they showed up on time, and got the job done just like they said AND cleaned up their mess. I highly recommend them. (Other bids were much higher.)

I just had Black Rock Underground replace my Sewer line. I have dealt with many contractors over the years. They were here when they said they would be. There was a bit of confusion on an initial sewer scope he did for my home purchase. Due to the confusion, I contacted him to let him know the challenge I was faced with and Cory, stepped up to the plate, one year later and took care of the issue that I had. This was a true testament of a good business owner and how he values his customers.

Black Rock Underground ("BRU") replaced the main sewer line at my house in the summer of 2023.

I spoke to 7-8 different companies, got bids from 4. BRU wasn't the cheapest and they weren't the most expensive.

They were the most comprehensive in their bid, the most communicative about their strategy and gave me the most confidence that their quoted price would be the price when they were finished.

Others left lots of room for upcharges and guesswork as to how they planned to run the line (equipment used, disruption to my yard, etc.)

I approved their contract and BRU showed up on the hottest day of the year. No joke, it was 102 degrees and the BRU team showed up on time and worked tirelessly for 2 days in the heat. The entire crew was smart, professional, efficient and courteous throughout.

I half expected to chase around in front and behind them to clear a path, clean up, talk to the City, and make sure everything went smoothly. I didn't have to do anything. Nothing. The on-site crew instilled confidence in their ability, quality and work ethic.

The crew's finished product perfectly lived up to my first impression and expectations. They didn't quibble about the length of time to complete the project, they didn't hit me up for changes/upcharges, they didn't present obstacles. Just got it done, period. Yard was perfect, everything exactly as they found it. Amazing.

I've used lots of subcontractors over the years and very few have impressed me like these guys did.
