I've called upon a handful of arborists and landscaping companies to help maintain my property in years past. This was my first experience with SavATree and I gotta say they were great to work with! Juan came to my residence and was very detailed and offered great explanation and recommendations for maintenance on my two locust and three cherry trees. The use of a laser pointer was helpful with aligning on what material was to be removed from each of the trees.
I received an estimate within 24hrs and had a crew scheduled shortly thereafter. The guys showed up at my residence at 8AM sharp and brought with them all the necessary equipment to prune and clean-up debris including a lift, shredder, and necessary safety equipment. The entire crew was professional, well equipped and very positive. These guys enjoy their job!
The guys utilized several ropes and safety tie-offs to access the trees and enable them to reach the most difficult areas. Upon final review, I had no changes or additional trimming required. The guys nailed it! Additionally, the SavATree email scheduling service and email correspondence were very professional and user friendly. The links and website related information were easy to follow and well presented. Payment was able to be made via a simple link and secure application. I would highly recommend and call upon again for future maintenance. Thanks to Juan and Team! Much appreciated!

I initially gave them a 5-star review because the front end of their service was excellent. However, their failure to follow up with me and the things they missed in their service (after being paid in full) has led me to downgrade my review. The tree trimming and removal was well done. The stump grinding, not so much. They should have followed up with me to complete the job I paid for. Poor customer service!

Emily is a customer service goddess...
Everytime I had a question, she was just a phone call away and was right on top of things.

Everything was done quickly, from the assessment and bid to the final job being done.

Everyone was very perfessional and courteous.

I will definitely be having them back

Team came by and did the trimming on my trees. It seemed like a good value, but not sure that they finished the job. Looks like a few limbs were left a bit too long on the tree on the far left. They did not book a time, so I was not here the whole time that they were pruning. I guess it is my fault for not blocking the time to watch the action. I will use them again but will press for a committed appointment time.

He did a great job on the weeds. Most of what he sprayed started to die right after being sprayed. One area of sucker shoots that were sprayed are not looking healthy, but are not dying yet.

Wonderful, quick response to a potential tremendous tree damage. Responded very professionally and in a short period of time. Can't thank them enough!!

We chose this company because we had success with them in the past. This experience was not as pleasant. The removal of the two large trees was done very well, the crew was professional and respectful. The job was done timely and the clean up was done and acceptable. The stump grinding portion of the project however, was a completely different story. There was a total lack of communication between the representative Juan Rodarte and us. He said it would be done that week, but it wasn't because he had not scheduled "locate". Then he did not inform us that locate had been contacted and the project approved. I had no idea what was going on when the guy showed up to grind the stump. I finally got informed from Locate that the approval was done. The first attempt at grinding the stump was done poorly and we had to have them come back. They did not contact us and showed up unexpectedly while we were getting our house painted and wanted to finish grinding. Are you kidding me!!!! They came back after the house was painted and "completed" grinding the stump. I'm still not happy with the job they did, but I'm done dealing with it. On top of it, they added $9 to the invoice because I withheld payment until the job was done.
The representative, Juan Rodarte, did an awful job. The day the trees were to be removed, they were to be here between 8:15-8:45. At 9:00 I called him and he said the truck broke down and they'd be there as soon as they could. WHY DIDN'T HE CALL ME TO TELL ME THAT?!?! This was followed by the fiasco with the stump grinding. He failed to include the grinding in the original quote and his communication on this entire project was less than acceptable.
In the future we will be taking our tree cutting needs to another company; the one I should have gone with on this project but because of our previous experience I went with General Tree Care/SavATree. I would not recommend this company for anything but tree removal and would encourage you to request a different representative.

Kyle & Pete are a great team. They braced my tree in an artful manner. Polite, answered my questions & thoughtful work

When Leo came out to my house to look at the tree so he could give me a price I asked how the process worked. I was told that they rope everything down turned out. They drop everything down. Plants were ruined. Big chunks dropped onto my neighbors concrete basketball pad. A manager did come out and said he would have the office lady call me Monday. The office said she called me Monday. She never called. I even reached out. She never called back. Used to be general. I used for 13 years.

Great communication, experienced personnel and very positive results. Our Large Beech had aphids and between spraying and root. Injections our Beech is very happy.

We had a big job after the January (2024) snowstorm. Over 40 trees down on our 17 acre property. There were many mature trees that had fallen in inconvenient places: in ponds, over fences, against buildings. It was all in a days work for General Tree. They showed up when they said they would, accomplished everything they were asked to do, and responded to every email, text, and phone call. All of this with a smile and a positive attitude in the cold, falling rain! I can't recommend them enough.

The people trimmed my pine and plum trees did a wonderful job. They made sure to ask my input every steps the way while they worked on the trimming to make sure they did exactly as what I wished. They also very polite and prompt. Before they leave they also cleaned all the debris from the ground. PERFECT services!

I use Sav-a-Tree (formerly General Tree Service) regularly, including an annual support service for our dozen trees that line our driveway. The fellows who come out for this are great: they do their job quietly, neatly and efficiently and then they leave. No over-talking or upselling. They also know about trees, which I find to be helpful.

We had a tree that was looking sickly. They sent a rep and he felt it needed to we agreed with his quote. A crew came and took it down , along with branches from another 3 trees that would have caused future problems. The crew just left after doing a great cleanup. Would recommend them to anyone needing services of a professional arborist.

The SavATree team helped me with some overgrown bushes and dead shrubs as well as cutting and shaping overgrown arborvitaes. The team called ahead of time and showed up early and got straight to work. The job was done quickly and efficiently and all debris was cleaned up. The crew leader was very pleasant and professional to work with.

We requested 3 bids to trim and prune some big over grown trees in our backyard. We ended up going with SavATree for their reasonable price, professionalism and wonderful follow through with communication. Both Rheena and Phil's team did a great job from initial consultation to the work day. Thank You! I will be recommending them to others.

As a previous happy customer of General Tree Service, I gave SavATree a try after their merger. I will not be a repeat customer. The pruning work is fine (though not as thorough as General in terms of removing dead branches). The crews were professional. The various departments could very much improve in their communication with each other and with customers. I was receiving emails from one department to schedule services I had already scheduled with the arborist who did my quote. Then when I needed to follow up about the work that wasn't completed, he was out of town and it took me multiple tries to get a call back from anyone else at the company. I wouldn't have bothered to write a review about any of this, but the last straw was SavATree saved my payment method from my first service without my knowledge and automatically charged that card for an additional service a month later. No invoice, no receipt, no email, just a charge on the same card. Yes, a separate payment was required for the additional service, but I would expect to be invoiced and make the payment myself unless I had requested for them to automatically charge (and save) a card on file. SavATree is not worth the high prices or the hassle.

I have used this company twice now and the team is amazing!! They communicate very well and the tree cutting team is great! They clearly have fun at their job and are very personable.

Just had two trees removed, and couldn't believe how quick and professional the entire crew was. Very respectful of clean up of other properties, as well as ours. I would definitely recommend the crew.

Whenever I see Jake leave a bad review for a business, I know they are doing a good job. He had the nerve to leave a 1 star review for a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post that he had never been to. His reviews carry no weight with anybody.

Would have loved to had the chance, but after communication asking how I was referred I got a terse call a couple days later advising they aren't taking new clients. No timeline could be given for if/when they would again. I understand they may need to make difficult decisions with their time, but they weren't very considerate of my time. If you're too busy for new work take down the submission form, or make prospective clients aware and just refer me to your partner service straight away. It'll save us both time.
