My husband and I bought our first home, and the previous owner left it pretty dirty. This was my first time hiring cleaners, so I had a lot of questions before booking with them. They were so patient with me and answered my multiple emails. The day of the cleaning, they arrived 15 minutes early. They did a great job, and I am so excited to move into a clean space. I hired Praise House cleaning Feb 2025 for a whole home-move out clean and carpet cleaning service in preparation for showing our home/open houses. I would not recommend Praise and wish I had hired another company. The price increased twice from the original estimate. Only one cleaner showed up and the job was only half completed. Uzor was not upfront about this and did not offer a solution to finish the work or to return another day. The deceit and unwillingness to adjust the price made me not to want to continue working with him. He gave me the impression that he mainly cleans rental properties. The expectations for a property manager cleaning for a new renter or a renter hoping to get their deposit back is different from a homeowner marketing their home for sale. The level of cleaning was far below my expectations and was not what our agent is used to seeing.

Uzor indicated they would steam clean all hard floor surfaces, clean the windows and window tracks, bathrooms, appliances, drawers and cabinets, behind the washer and dryer, dusting, and wiping down millwork, doors, and walls. For my 2,900 sf home he quoted $550 for the house and $300 for the carpet cleaning. 2 other companies provided very similar pricing but Praise had the earliest date available.

On the day of the clean, Uzor called to let me know the hallway and stairs would add $150 to the cost (200 sf). I agreed. At 4 pm I arrived at my home for a walk through. I discovered "we" was just him and his other cleaner did not show up. We walked through the house and I pointed out issues: sticky cabinets, oven racks had not been cleaned, white residue and scratches on stainless steel kitchen sink, smears on glass, brown furniture cleaner on the walls, bathrooms hadn't been cleaned. Uzor wiped down a few drawers, and quickly finished the stairs and packed up.

After he left I saw that none of the 2nd floor had been cleaned. I don't expect one person to deep clean the entire house AND shampoo the carpets in 9 hours. I expect honesty and for him to tell me it was half done and his team would return to finish the cleaning. I felt like he tried to conceal this and when I asked about a price adjustment he pushed back. He also increased the price another $50, ($1,050 or $117/hr)

I have a regular house cleaner who cleans 6 hrs per week for $180. That includes all floors, dusting, banister, windows in high traffic areas, lights, 3 full bathrooms, collecting and taking out the garbage (and new bags), cleaning/polishing dining table, chairs, and all other wood furniture. A move m-out clean is deeper and at least 15 hours of cleaning for our home size. Our move-in cleaners took 30 hours, plus steam cleaning floors and shampooing carpet.

The next day our agent looked at the home and said the home had a strange, bad odor and that too many areas were not clean. We had to delay listing and open houses to the following week. My husband and I cleaned the house ourselves and saw first hand how much of the home was not cleaned. The carpet was crusty and hard, indicating it hadn't been rinsed thoroughly (or at all).

The issue is that I wasn't told that there was only one cleaner and that the entire home and carpet shampooing could not be completed in one day (8-5). If I had known it was 6 hours of home cleaning for $550 and carpet shampoo but not rinsing, I would have hired a different company or rescheduled Praise to return a different day. It cost $250 to have a carpet cleaner return to rinse our carpets (1,400 sf). Imagine putting shampoo in your hair and not rinsing it out and letting your hair dry. That's what our carpet was like.

If you consider this company, make sure you know exactly what you are getting and inspect the work. I would recommend finding a different company, especially for a home/home owner/home sale. 2 stars for hard work, 3 stars removed for dishonesty, incomplete work, and pricing much higher than competitors.

Praise really did a great job on my carpets. My landlord wouldn’t clean them so I had them cleaned myself and I’m so glad I went with this company. They were very efficient, punctual, and hard working! They made my carpets look brand new. I will definitely book with praise cleaning service again and you should too!

Above and beyond service! I used this company for the 1st time this week. My usual cleaning service was a “no show” and, as I had moved all my furniture off my carpets throughout my home, I was desperate to find a service that could come on short notice. I immediately reached Uzor on the phone and he said he would arrive in an hour! He did a much better job of cleaning my carpets than the service I had been using for 20 years. What a difference! His prices are fair, and he left my house sparkling. During his visit my disabled husband fell, and he kindly offered to help me get him up and back in his chair. Uzor is my new hero! I can’t recommend Praise Cleaning Services enough.

I hired this company for a move-out cleaning at one of my investment properties and was extremely impressed. Their attention to detail was outstanding — they cleaned the windows, screens, appliances, and every area of the unit thoroughly. The property looked spotless and completely ready for the next tenant. The windows alone were worth the price.
