We selected L&J Heating, and Cooling to replace our ~25-year old HVAC system for several reasons: (1) L&J installs highly rated equipment. According to numerous reviews, American Standard is well-made American equipment with good reliability. (2) Joe, who made the proposal to us, told us exactly what he thought we needed, which turned out to be correct after numerous conversations with other contractors. (3) L&J did not try to sell us more than we needed, which I appreciated. (4) L&J’s pricing was competitive.

The installation went very well. Joe and Zak were terrific. They are pros and exceeded our expectations. The installation was completed weeks ahead of their commitment.

We would not hesitate to use them again. There is a reason J&L has outstanding reviews. They are reliable, do good work, and are competitively priced. We would hire them again and do not hesitate to recommend them to others.

These guys are absolutely amazing! I will tell everyone I know! Joe was so great. He didn’t try to sell me other things that I didn’t need. Other companies I got bids from were definitely just for sales. Jeremy and Armando were just the best. So hardworking and so nice. They did an immaculate install. They were so fast to get the job done. Came strait out for the bid, installed all within 24 hours. Top notch company!

The technician arrived on time. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and completed the issue with my mini split HVAC promptly and with no disruption to my day or my apartment. I would recommend them for others needing the same work they did for me.

Fantastic everything. Old oil furnace needed immediate replacement, and from a data-driven assessment of my house's needs to a straight forward (and highly competitive) bid for a heat pump system, Joe was a great guide through the process. Installation was quick and pro and Armando was a delight. Then Joe followed up to make sure things were cozy, and they are! Looking forward to a long relationship. Would absolutely recommend.

We've used L&J for years to keep our home cool or warm and cozy during the changing seasons. We've also called upon them to expand our system to additions on our house. Every time, their staff has been exceptionally well educated in heating and air systems. They won't up-sale or recommend something if you don't really need it or if the cost would exceed the benefit for you. If something breaks, they are there for you asap. Absolutely wonderful company. I'll always call them first.

I can only say great things about L & J Heating and Cooling! We had been without our air-conditioning for two weeks and the other company we were working with kept telling us they were waiting on the part we needed. That company had given us a quote of $2,600 and then tried to upsell us and additional $1,500 worth of stuff we didn't need. It was suggested we contact L & J Heating and Cooling. Not only did they have the part we needed, they were quick to schedule us and saved us over $1,300!! They only sold us what we needed and were so easy to work with. Thank you Katie and Joe!! We are really enjoying our nice cool house.

Great service, very good at communicating when they're coming, and prompt. When Katie found out I was going to be in meetings and likely wouldn't be able to answer the phone, she texted me so my service wouldn't be delayed. Fit me in when someone canceled so that myself and my dog would have AC before the next heat wave hit (later this week!!!) The guys that come out are respectful, funny, and don't act as though they're rushing to fix the problem just to get to the next appointment. Would definitely recommend.

I called and scheduled an appointment and was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment in just 2 days. The service guy came out, went thru my ac and furnace with me, did some cleaning and testing. Said everything looks ok, just needed a really good cleaning. He did not try to sell me a new unit, he was nice and honest.

I am very impressed with Ron and Justin who did the start up on my new furnace and air conditioner. They were professional, friendly, answered all of our questions and did a great job explaining everything. They left the job site clean and neat. They are a great asset to L & J Heating & Cooling!

Our home warranty company is painfully slow and difficult to deal with. After waiting THREE days just to get a call from our company to get assigned a technician, we gave up and placed a service repair request on L&J’s website on a Monday morning just before 8am. They called shortly after the day started, said they would out on Tuesday by 3pm (and earlier if they could). They called back within the hour, a technician was here before 10am THE SAME DAY (Monday) and we were back up and running within 30 minutes for $50 more than the home warranty technician fee (well worth it)!

Will use for all my a/c needs in the future!

We have a Heat Glo propane fireplace (4 of them total in the house), and we've never had it serviced before. The previous owners of the house had them installed at some point, and we don't know if they had them serviced either. Our main one in the main living room has been a workhorse for 6+ years for us, and it started having issues where it wouldn't stay on after initially starting. It'd try to restart, and sometimes it'd stay on, sometimes not. Eventually it'd keep going and then we were good.

I searched around a bit for places that would work on these, and L&J kept coming up. Gave them a call, and after a simple scheduling to have someone at least do a standard service on the fireplace and begin troubleshooting, we were off to the races. The person scheduling set the tone by saying a service would be less expensive than a full diagnosis visit, and it might clear up the issue. I'm already sold by down-selling a visit instead of up-selling.

Service was done by a wonderful young man, and he did a really nice job. He replaced all the filament and hand-placed everything in the fireplace. He cleaned it out completely, and then tested a few things. It ran way better, but still had the same re-starting issue. He thought it might be the pilot assembly. So we went from there.

This is where L&J stood out to us. They ordered the pilot assembly and sent out one of their very senior tech's to also diagnose during the install of the pilot assembly. This part was nearly $1,000, so obviously this was a "I hope it will fix it" situation. The service tech ran the fireplace a bit, saw the issue happen, and told us the pilot assembly won't fix it. He very well could have installed (and charged us) $1,000, and then continued troubleshooting. He did not do this. He said we likely needed new ignition modules, which they could order and install.

The new modules came and he and the first younger tech came, installed them in about 30 minutes, and bam, our issue is resolved. Fireplace also runs WAY more efficient it seems (less propane getting burned, fireplace runs way hotter). The quote for the part was the cost of what we paid overall, so labor was included. Basically no surprise costs.

This is a long review, but I wanted to detail the fact they could have squeezed way more money out of us to fix this issue, but they didn't. They were honest, they did fantastic work, and they stood by their reputation. They gained a life-long customer here. Thanks L&J for such a great experience.

We have an oil furnace that was installed in 2016. When we called the company that installed it, they informed us that they no longer service oil furnaces so that’s when L & J popped up. Ron was so knowledgeable and knew exactly what was going on. He was on time and done in about a half hour. For their standard yearly service fee, we have warm air again and I learned a lot about keeping my furnace in shape.

After enduring two long waiting sessions on the phone and a long question and answer session followed by a request for my credit card (before services were performed), i cancelled my appointment with a large, local HVAC company and called L &J. They were quick (they came before they expected), professional, and efficient. They treated me like home-town businesses used to treat customers. I will call L & J first from now on.
