I was absolutely delighted with this company in every aspect. I had lots of questions and had done a lot of research on replacing my 27 year old cedar shake roof. I even interviewed another home owner that had used Sunnyside Roofing for 2 replaced roofs. At the time I thought their praise of the company was a bit over the top, but they were right on!!! I got 4 bids and theirs was the lowest and offered many more small extra services. Their professional service and advise was excellent. The team of 6 worked quickly and carefully on my very steep roof with lots of angles. They never cut corners and were very careful to retain the integrity of the stucco flashing. I cannot say enough positive things about this hard working, skilled crew.

Sunnyside Roofing provided exceptional service and workmanship at a reasonable price. Their original assessment included going up onto the roof, completing an in-depth evaluation, and taking photographs which showed the damage and the extent of repairs needed. They explained how the lack of adequate ventilation attributed to the premature failure of the roof. Their roofing estimate included adding additional vents. The roofing crew was very professional arriving on time and working throughout the day in all kinds of weather including cold rain and hot sunny days. It took 2 weeks due to the size and complexity of our roof and adding to the difficulty of the job, the roof is over 32 ft high. The crew kept us informed regarding their progress and paid attention to details letting us know when they encountered wood sheathing and trim which needed to be replaced. They took their time cutting shingles to apply a beautiful aesthetic finish and look to a rounded roof turret and to the roof’s eaves edges. We are extremely pleased with our new roof and highly recommend Sunnyside Roofing for addressing any of your roofing needs.

Sunnyside did an outstanding job installing our new roof. Some surprises were encountered with removal of the (very) old roof, but Sunnyside remedied them in a timely and competent way, always kept us in the loop, and performed all necessary work for a fair price.

I had a wonderful experience with Bart and his crew. He taught me quite a bit about all the different components that go into a roof to make sure I could make an informed decision. His crew was fast, thorough, and considerate. Extra appreciated as we had just gotten a new puppy. He even checked in after the biggest storm of the season to make sure everything was performing as necessary!

2) Suggest a better ventilation solution (power + edge vents), customized to our roof’s unique shape.
3) Recommend wider gutters, downspouts and cleanout ports instead of the gutter guards I originally asked for — and explained why that was a smarter long-term approach, given all the trees near our house.
4) Provide a fully itemized and transparent quote with scope, process, and material details spelled out clearly.

We called Sunnyside Roofing as we had a leak in our roof. Abraham came quickly, found the leak and gave us an estimate to repair and also an estimate to replace our roof. As our existing roof was close to the end of its lifespan, we decided to replace it. The crew arrived on the scheduled start date and time. They worked every day, did a complete tear off of the old roof and got the new roof completed quite quickly. The team at Sunnyside Roofing did an excellent job on our roof replacement project from start to finish. Bart was extremely professional and conscientious as the project lead. During the bid process he was helpful in sharing his knowledge, both of Sunnyside's recommended products and techniques as well as how they compared to those of the competition. While the quoted price was definitely not the lowest of the quotes we received, we felt it was fair and reasonable for the quality and workmanship we received. Throughout the roofing process we were impressed by the team and their communication with us as the customer. Both Leo, the project foreman, and Bart would speak with us each day, updating us on progress and any issues or obstacles they may have run into, along with proposed solutions. They were able to squeeze us into their schedule quickly and finished the project on time. Abraham completed an estimate on Friday (which included photos of the problem areas) and our job was scheduled for the following Tuesday. Carmelo arrived on time, assessed the damage and went straight to work on our roof repair. He worked from 8:00-4:30 to complete our job in one day. It was 97 degrees today and he did a great job in spite of working all day in the heat!
