Constraction reviews in Eugene, Oregon

We had an estimator come out for quote. They walked the property and said they would get something to us, and never heard from them.
-
They wasted our time saying they would bid on a project, came out to see the site and promised a bid a week or so later. We never got the bid. Wasted time. Very poor follow through.
-
Contacted them to get a bid on some damage. They got back to me said they would come view the damage. Then they ghosted me. Very unprofessional company unfortunately. Buyer beware.

What I love most about Kaminski is they are family owned and super ethical. They will do what is best for the customer!

Hyper-detail oriented, fast, and polite. The crew clearly takes pride in their workmanship. I’ve been impressed each time that I’ve hired them.

I have had this company do many projects for me over the years and each time they have been great to deal with. I like how professional they are and how they follow up after the job has been completed. I will keep using them in the future. Anyone considering construction needs should definitely give these guys a try!

Master bathroom remodel. Very happy, quality work, great advice on a workable design and came in under budget. I particularly the advice and work from Tony and Jermaine. I would hire this company again.

If I could give them a zero I would. They overcharged on their bid. They did horrible work on everything they attempted to repair, and still made us pay thousands over full price. We had no choice since we had to complete work to close on our renovation loan. Their contract is their most clever trick to completely screw you over. Do not work with them. Very greedy company.

I recently hired Kaminski Construction to install heavy bag wall brackets in my boxing gym. I told them where i wanted them hung and they went to work giving me exactly what I asked for. So far everything is holding up well and I have no complaints. Good job guys.

Great company with a desire to serve their community. They reached out to us with a desire to help with our project by donating all the labor of their entire company for 2 days! They showed up on the scheduled days ready to work! By the end of 2 days, they had hung around 18,000 sq ft of drywall and 20,000ish of insulation. Great company to work with, easy to communicate with, fun work atmosphere, extremely efficient, highly recommend!

They were there when they said they would be there. They did a great job. Project was completed in a timely manner. The price was fair. Can’t ask for much more from a construction company. Overall, very happy with Kaminski Construction. Will use them again for future projects.

Kaminski construction gave me a fair estimate of the work that they could do. They showed up promptly and in less than half a day completed removing and installing aluminum gutters to my home additionally they contracted out to have someone fix an area of dry rot. I could not say enough good things about Kaminsky construction

I saw the news tonight and saw your opinion that customers should have a choice regarding using natural gas. I read many of your reviews and would consider you for a future project. I agree at some point in the future we will move to electric appliances only but we are not there yet. The electrical grid is not heading to great reliability. I added the capability of using a generator to run my natural gas furnace if needed. Thank you for your support of choice.

I have nothing but good things to say about Kaminski Construction. They redid a back exterior wall and installed two additional windows, resided the house, painted it, and also took care of various things that arose during the jobs which were either problematic with the original construction or would result in a better outcome than the original plan. Never did they try to push anything but were very informative about what was involved including the specific cost which turned out to be fair. They always answered all questions in a detailed and timely fashion.. Being able to communicate openly and continuously and have a clear sense of what was going on and what could be expected was a refreshing experience. Everyone involved was very professional and the work done was excellent.

We hired Kaminski to identify and repair the source of constant leaking in our basement. They insisted that the source of the leaking was a foundational issue, which they "repaired" over the course of several days (and to the tune of thousands of dollars). About a month after they claimed the problem was solved, the leaking returns. We discovered that the issue was actually with the piping system in the house. When making their assessment of the problem, Kaminsky never mentioned that there could be an alternate source besides the foundation. Hiring them was expensive and ultimately did little to nothing to address the actual problem.

I hired Kaminski to replace some drywall and the subfloor in my kitchen, bathroom, and pantry. They did a good job on the drywall. The subfloor work left a lot to be desired. They did not put in blocking where it was needed to keep the floor stable. They had to go in after the work was done to put in blocking from the crawlspace. I also had to ask them to put in a new hole and pipe for the dryer. Somehow these basic things didn't occur to them. My refrigerator sits above the ductwork coming from the furnace, making it difficult to provide support for the subfloor. So in front of the fridge the floor sinks in when you walk on it. This was not addressed from the start. They knew the ductwork was there. I did not realize this was an issue until after they said their work was done. They were content to leave it that way. After all the work was done their only proposed solution was to charge me another $750 to add a layer of 1/2" sheets on top of the subfloor. I declined and asked them for a different solution. They offered none. Their only answer when asked why this issue wasn't addressed from the beginning is that manufactured homes are different than traditional homes. I asked for a discount on the bill. They declined. A friend helped me tear that part of the subfloor out and we strengthened the weak spot with a $30 fix. It took 4 hours. 3 hours of that work was trying to tear out the board Kaminski put in because instead of screws they used about 2 dozen nails with weak heads which could not be pulled out. Aside from shoddy work and suspect business practices, on the very first day the workers ran into the basketball pole in my front yard with their box truck. It bent the pole to about a 15 degree angle. They said nothing about it. It was so loud I could hear it from the back of my house. I looked out the front window and saw the workers lifting up the net so they could fit their truck in under the hoop. I held my tongue for the entire week they were here, giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoping they would speak up before they left. It didn't happen. Evidently they believe I am an idiot and can be taken advantage of. Mistakes are fine. No one is perfect. How you respond to issues is what really matters. But Kaminski's response to their mistakes says a lot about the company and I would highly suggest you look to someone else for your contracting needs. I informed both the supervisor, Matt, and Mr. Jason Kaminski that I was still recovering from leukemia and that money was tight. Evidently they think doing subpar work for leukemia patients with financial concerns is an acceptable way to run their business. Matt did recognize an issue with my toilet and had it replaced. To their credit, Kaminski did charge me less than what they quoted. They charged me honestly for the hours and materials they put in. That's the expectation, of course, but it still needs to be pointed out despite my other issues. I paid my bill in full. The costs and stress of a potential small claims case wasn't worth the $100 or so I was going to short them. Evidently their reputation isn't worth it to them.
