In the process of preparing my mom's house and my childhood home for sale, I needed the services of a contractor to take care of several different issues that a home inspection I had ordered turned up. I sent the report to Kaminski Construction and Patrick Bennett took the project. Considering that I am working full time and getting a house ready for the market, I needed someone who I could trust to get the work done to my satisfaction and to communicate any problems they may encounter. Patrick was great. His crew came in and did everything on the list and did it very well. I could not have been happier!
The house went on the market and we sold it very quickly. The buyer ordered their own inspection and as it turns out, my inspector missed some items that turned out to be rather large, disappointing, not to mention time sensitive and beyond stressful. I sent the new inspection report to Patrick (after he thought he was done with me!) and asked if he could help me. His response was beyond comforting, it was downright fantastic as he mentioned that he was there to help. Without getting into all of the details, Patrick was already thinking two steps ahead of me and reassured me that I was in good hands. I most certainly was. He assured me that they were on it and he got crews scheduled to do the work. They took care of all of the surprises and issues at hand and were the reason the sale of the house did not fall through. I would use Kaminski Construction again and most certainly ask for Patrick to take the lead on the project. This guy is the definition of customer service, quality and he’s a pretty nice guy to boot!

Kaminski came to our immediate rescue after a tree fell on to our house. We really appreciated Kaminski for their constant professionalism throughout the entire job. We would - and have already - recommend this firm to anyone and everyone for their construction needs. With all of the less than honorable contractors out there, Kaminski is a gem.

Professional, on time, answered my concerns, and finished the job quickly before company visited from out of town!! The best is how Kaminski assigns a project manager to each job and is available for questions and answers!

I was very pleased with this company from start to finish. Jacob came out the next day after calling and telling them about my problem and was very prompt with getting my estimate. I was in need of getting some dry rot fixed and having siding put on the back side of the house. The project manager, Andrew, explained exactly what would be done and both the project leader Dallas, and his co-worker, Kyle were very meticulous about getting everything exactly as it should be. A great crew and a great company to work with.

We are delighted with the work done on this job. Brian worked fast and hard, and he got the baseboards installed professionally and in very good time. It was a pleasure to work with Alexis. He put his heart into our stair handrail project, and we are very pleased with the results. It is so much better than the old handrail. Both parts of the project made a big improvement in our home, and we are 100% happy with the finished results. We would be glad to recommend this company and to have them do work for us again.

I waited a couple of weeks so that I could be fair with this review, because I was a bit annoyed with them. This could've been a 5-star review.

Pros:

-Everyone I met at Kaminski was friendly and professional.

-They did the work I contracted with them to do in a fairly short period of time.

-When the guys came to do the job they did quality work, in a very professional manner.

-When they left, I even considered contacting them to replace the old galvanized pipe in my house sometime over the next year. I actually mentioned it to their carpenter before he left. That outcome seems unlikely now for the reasons that follow.

-Once I posted my review I got a call asking how I could be more satisfied. I realize I am not their only client, and don't consider my job to be any more important than anyone else's. This said, I appreciate the effort.

-I did get a refund for them for... something. Not sure what it was for. (See my last "Con" item.

Cons:

-We were told that they would charge half the bid in deposit, then they charged the whole thing. In fairness they reversed this charge.

-My only sincere complaint is the opacity of their billing. Don't get me wrong. they gave me a VERY detailed estimate and - as I mentioned in the first part of my review - they sent me a partial refund of the initial charge.

Gosh this is going to sound like I am complaining just to complain, but hear me out.

The real issue is I have not yet received a detailed explanation of exactly what I was charged for. When I spoke to the company I was told that prep work went longer than expected, and was told I would get a detailed invoice.

Look, I am not going to quibble over the price. I am not looking for a refund I am not due. The fact is I signed the contract, but I want to know where the money went. That is all. They did great work, and I now more than trust them.

Conclusion:

First impressions matter fair or not.

The final assessment is, though I would work with them again, I just want to a receipt. Their bids are detailed enough that this should be doable.

We could not be happier with Kaminski Construction. Their attention to detail is exceptional. We had several change orders and they did a great job of explaining them and were still able to finish the project on time even with the additions. They kept the job site absolutely spotless. We highly recommend Kaminski Construction!

Kaminski Construction did a fantastic job replacing our roof. They were professional and much more reasonable in price than other competitors. Our experience from the start with our estimator, Matt, was exceptional. Our roof looks beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the great job all the employees at Kaminski Construction did from start to finish! Thank you!!

Kaminski Construction did a bunch of work on our home this summer, including replacing a wooden deck with a concrete patio and replacing 10 windows. Every member of the Kaminski crew was professional, friendly, and polite. They always chose to complete detailed work instead of just rushing through the project to get things done. We're so happy to have the new upgrades to our home, and we highly recommend them to others.

Recently we had Kaminski replace and repair dry rot damage to our house. They then painted the exterior of the house. We are very happy with all the work. Everyone involved were on time, polite, informative, great attention to detail, doing little extras. I found the crew to be very professional and polite. Kaminski Construction just completed our three home improvement projects: Replacing an exterior door; removing and replacing weather-damaged siding on our house and utility shed; and rebuilding the exterior of our fireplace chimney. The quality of the work was excellent. The workers clearly explained the process before they started, paid close attention to details and and ensured that we were satisfied with the work before they left for the day. We are particularly indebted to Matt, Ken and Dallas who often went above and beyond what was expected of them. We will definitely use Kaminski Construction for any future projects.

Kaminksi Construction painted our 93 year old house, spending about a week just in the prepping. They were thorough, responsive to our needs and requests, and treated our house like it was their own. We had a couple of things that needed repair and they did it very well. We would highly recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of work done, whether construction or painting. We will definitely call them again when needed.

I am very pleased with the renovations Kaminski Construction made to our home. They did quality work that produced the changes we wanted within the time they estimated. Best of all, they did not exceed their bid price. The owner, Jason Kaminski, and his crew were great to work with. I highly recommend Kaminski Construction for general contractor services.

We hired Kaminski Construction to help us with a remodel after a bathroom flooding incident. Kaminski was absolutely phenomenal throughout the whole process. Jason was responsive and timely and was in constant communication with us through the whole remodel. The Project Manager was wonderful, the crew was kind and engaging to my family. There were multiple days when my wife or my mom were watching the kids and at home with the Kaminski crew and both of them mentioned how polite and kind they were. No foul language, no inappropriate conversation or anything.

I can't recommend them enough. In every piece of the process, Kaminski was so helpful. I wish I could give more stars...

The team at Kaminski did an amazing job on our house. Our project was small and was focused around renovating a laundry room and some other parts of our downstairs to maximize storage. The team was really considerate about keeping the workspace clean and dust free since we were still living there during the construction. They were also really attentive to the details of all the wood working that was part of the project and very thoughtful about the approach to problem solving when issues came up. We had a couple of small things that didn't get done, but the.team was really responsive in getting them taken care of in a timely way. I would use them again for sure.

I had, had previous experience with Kaminski Construction through a prior employer so I knew Kaminski Construction to be a reputable company. My project was a complete tear out of my water damaged kitchen, floor to ceiling, that included the tear out of the soffits with extensive electrical work. Kaminski reinstalled the flooring and the beautiful new cabinets we had ordered. Kaminski’s crew worked diligently thought the project. I would certainly call on them to do any new projects, without reservation.

Kaminski did an amazing job refinishing my deck and building a custom privacy wall and bench. This was no small feat, as I live in a tree covered area where pine needles and pollen drop every second. How they managed to prep and repaint my deck was miraculous. They also built a custom deck and privacy wall out of redwood that is just spectacular. The final price was exactly as bid and I couldn't be happier!

Update:
Kaminski came back out and fixed the deck. They did have to completely take it apart again but they did rectify the issues. I am happy with the end result.

From start to finish my job was a disaster. The right hand had no idea what the left was doing. I called July 2022 for a bid to paint my house, put in a new front door with stain and replace my back deck with composite decking.
Their price for painting my house was almost double what my other 3 quotes were.
I decided to use them for my front door and back deck. The guy who came out to quote me, told all this stuff and NONE of it was true.

From the start I was told to use their online portal to communicate with them, see photos of my job and know the progress. I reached out via their portal with no response and never any ups. I was also told a start date of 4 weeks out. I gave them my deck choices and ordered my front door from one of the door companies the work with. The job would take 4 days total.

4 weeks go buy and no word from them. I finally call and was told that the person handling my job no longer worked there. Finally someone else calls me back to confirm my job and start date. We are now past the start and I’ve heard nothing, so I call again on a Thursday, to be told my job would start that Monday.

Monday comes and the crew arrive early. The truck arrives to deliver everything and it is NOT my stuff. I then ask about the front door and nobody knows anything about it. I call the door place and nobody from Kaminski ever picked it up, (it was ready 3 week’s earlier). Which means they have not stained it either. The guys are now hanging around with no work to do. The deck supplies do not arrive until the afternoon if the following day.
I continue to ask about my door with no results. The door finally gets installed a few weeks after my start date because they didn’t even pick it up or start staining until a week after the job started (the 4 day job)

They were to replace the full door & door jam, which meant removing some of the stone facade and replacing it. It was all part of the quote which I agreed to. However, they ended up Not replacing the surround or removing any stone, just replaced the door. They did NOT deduct any of that from my bill, even though they did not do the work.
They also used the cinder blocks from my old deck and the guy said that he would return the new ones since he didn’t need them BUT I did not get a credit!!

Promises that never happened!
1. We will bring the deck level with your patio door so they are flush. The deck will also attach to your house.
The deck is not attached to the house and it is lower than the door, so I had to repaint that gap between the door and the new deck, the full length along.
2. We’ll do 12ft full boards running out from the house .
Yes 12ft boards arrived but the installer chopped them up and staggered them like he was installing a wooden deck. He did NOT run them coming out from the house. Not sure what he has done but every board dips in the middle, so water pools all over the deck. When he was installing the deck he proudly said that this was his FIRST composite install and he had to watch a video on it the night before. WTH!!!
The boards are also not spaced evenly, some are butted up tight to each other, while others have big gaps.
Basically I would NOT ever use Kaminski Construction again and I would never recommend them.
I’m late writing this review (8 months since it was completed) because I was so angry to start with, that I wanted to calm down. It was also fall when everything finally got finished, so I’ve only started to use my deck in the last 4 weeks.
The photos show the dip in all the board and the seems being either butted up right to each other or huge gaps.

I needed some minor repairs done to a kitchen cabinet door, two gates and a leaky gutter. Josh was very professional and completed the projects in a timely manner. He also noticed some other areas where the gutter was leaking and causing damage to the fascia boards. I will be using Kaminski Construction to fix the damage and replace the gutters.

It was refreshing to work with Jason and Allen on this project after dealing with insurance for so long. The entire crew was professional and timely, and they ensured my wife and I were happy before considering the job done. They even took time to meet my dogs, including my very slobbery and goofy Newfoundland. Overall, I am very happy with my new kitchen and floors and I would highly recommend them to anyone doing major home upgrades.
