Our neighbors collaborated with us to prune our individual HUGE Elm trees. Finding Urban Arbor Care was easy because all the other arborists I called recommended them for this job. I was amazed by how the tree workers in our community each have their own speciality and are not afraid to recommend one another.

Once working with Urban Arbor Care, I was extremely impressed with their communication, professionalism, efficiency and skilled tree work. They arranged to do both our trees in two days using 2 bucket lifts and operators, 1-4 climbers, and ground staff. Their pruning was more like surgery as they evaluated each branch and made informed choices which forks to cut. They did not take any major branches, but reduced the weight and girth of the canopy without sacrificing the beautiful shape or overall health of the trees. They navigated around the power lines safely and gracefully.

In addition to the workers being expert at their jobs, they were prompt, efficient, safe, communicative and willing to answer questions throughout the process. the clean up of all the branches, blowing the leaves and leaving us a nice big pile of chips was extraordinary!

They asked how we felt about the squirrel nests and were cautious not to disturb them, as we requested. Sure enough, as soon as they quit for the day, a squirrel made it home. Ahhh. We love our healthy trees and expect them to be happier and healthier.

I have been stunned by the level of care and attention to detail I receive every time I call LJ Tree Care. They are amazing and have been able to help me each time I've needed tree work done. They have also had the best rates around and continually asked considerably less than other companies for a stellar job. They have all the equipment needed to make quick work of cleaning up our 50 ft trees after storms caused damage. They are the best!

Lance came to our home and performed a substantial trim on our very large magnolia tree. It is probably 35 feet tall. He communicated well in regards to scheduling. He came when he said he'd come, not a minute late and he got busy quick. He did an amazing job at thinning out and trimming the tree. It looked like it was on its last leg because it had so many dead parts and was so overgrown, especially in the understory. It looks renewed and ready for another 40 years of growth. Much appreciated, Lance! It's not always a good experience hiring someone to do work on your property. There are a few bad apples who ruin things for the honest guys. Lance is one of the honest guys.

We have been using LJ Tree Care for several decades now and they never disappoint. Lance and his crew have always been the most professional and the best at what they do. The latest job included our two maples, a slowly dying birch tree and a massive Douglas fir. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. In the past, they have dealt with our sweet gum, scotch pine and our oaks. Just always great work and very reasonable too.

This company did a great job removing some dying trees in our yard and removed many stumps around the yard.
They were very professional and left the yard in better shape than when they started even blowing wood chips out of the lawn.

Sean, the owner, will respond to a request for an estimate in a timely manner, and rates are competitive. He’s personable, knowledgeable and thorough, including all the way through to the clean-up phase. He listens carefully to what you want done and does a professional job. I initially interviewed Hodgson Tree Service ( many 5 star reviews) to prune several Fir trees at my residence. Sean gave me a competitive estimate, but I could tell by his professional experience and level of interest in my project, that Sean would be a great choice. He and Rick arrived at the designated time an got right to work. During the project I communicated with Sean about my ideas. He has an arborist eye and we shared thoughts about how the yard should look. During the project I made a couple of changes. Sean was receptive and provided additional cost estimates that were fair. When the project was completed, Sean and Rick did a fabulous clean-up. I could not be more satisfied. I will add my 5 stars and recommend Hodgson Tree Service. Thanks guys!

We are about to use Hodgson Tree Service again to take out a dead tree that poses a hazard. We had a tree downed in a storm a couple of years ago that was handled by them as well. We could not believe what an excellent job they did in removing all signs of the tree. They cut it up into firewood rounds for us plus the clean-up of all the messy limbs and other debris was impeccable. It was as if they were never there, aside from the wonderful pile of rounds we later split. That was a nice surprise, especially for the value!

The crew was timely, friendly, and efficient. The cost was extremely reasonable for the amount of work involved. They are now our go-to service for any tree-related issues. Cannot recommend them highly enough!
