Hodgson Tree service removed two 30-year-old pin oaks for us this past week, one of them 85 feet tall. It was a huge job on a small city lot: Both trees had limited, very narrow accessibility, and one of them was extremely challenging due to its structure, branch size, and the way it was leaning.

Watching Sean masterly analyze a situation and execute a plan was amazing. Together, he and his helper worked diligently and efficiently, and were always punctual, pleasant, and accommodating. As a team, they were meticulous in protecting the crowded plantings around the trees – no small task! -- and their clean-up was top-notch. We recommend them very, very highly and will definitely use their services again!

I had a very overgrown evergreen tree in my front yard that was in need of a good cut and reshape. Sean was very knowledgeable about the type of tree and what needed to be done to reshape, cut back and still maintain the integrity of the tree. I was able to get an estimate done the same day I called, and scheduled the service within a week of calling. Reasonably priced for the quality of work this company does as well. We hired Hodgson's to remove an inconveniently planted cedar tree. This was hands down the best experience I've had with a company. I had Hodgson out to grind a stump. The communication was great via email and text. Of the 4 companies I contacted, they offered the best price. They were efficient and professional on site. I will be hiring them again take care of a tree that needs some care.

These guys are amazing. I had a real problem with broken branches after the ice storm and they came out and trimmed all my trees, did a great job, cleaned up the mess and the price was more than fair. Highly recommend them.

We scheduled an appointment for today last week. Nobody showed up. No call. When I asked if they were still coming I was told Josh had said he probably couldn't make it to his wife. (She is the staff.) But she didn't bother to advise us. Very poor customer service.

Josh also was very flexible when I needed to change up the initial work agreement. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back out if I ever need to more work done.

Removed two apple trees from my property great price friendly service highly recommend

I'd give ten stars if I could. Josh and crew did thorough, professional work removing some boxwoods and trimming multiple trees on our property. As requested, they cut trimmings to wood stove length. This is a local, family owned and operated business that provides excellent service start to finish.

We had two trees in our backyard that needed attention after the major ice storm in January. Several damaged limbs that needed cleared. Josh took care of the unsafe limbs and trimmed up the trees while he was up there so they would be safer for us going forward. The trees were in an awkward spot, but he took care of them without incident. Josh and his assistant worked their tails off for 8+ solid hours. They cleaned up their mess when they were done. I cannot speak to price as compared to his competitors. Josh showed up to take a look, and I felt comfortable with his plan and his price so we agreed on it. Josh has the knowledge, experience, and ability I don't have, so it was worth it to me, regardless of whether or not someone might have done it a little cheaper. I don't know and I don't care. I'd call Josh again if I needed help.
