We hired them to take down our 80+ foot tall fir tree. Not a single branch hit my garden or small Japanese maples below. They were professionals. They took out the gigantic stump, cleaned all the branches and debris! Extremely efficient and hard working! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Flying Squirrel due to the excellent service and experience I had. I reached out to Christian with Flying Squirrel to request tree trimming service. He was very responsive and stopped by my house same day to look at what I wanted done. He did a good job of getting details to make sure he had the exact right plan. He came back with the rest of the Flying Squirrel team to execute the plan a few days later. The team was very prepared to trim what we agreed on and Christian checked with me when work was done to make sure everything was done right. They were in and out very quickly and they made sure to leave my yard even cleaner than when they first arrived. Everyone did an excellent job and I'm glad I was able to work with a local business like Flying Squirrel!

I have not used this company but I live in a neighborhood they serviced. They had a vehicle go speeding thru the neighborhood up to them, get out and hang out with them. When they were approached by us, they got belligerent.

I am surprised by this company's service. Excellent work. Juan is a professional. I recommend this company for tree removal.

Shane and his guys did an awesome job removing and clearing more than 20 huge trees on our property after they were compromised by the storm and replanting 10 large 14” new trees.

Great service! We had a huge dead fir tree they were able to take down as well as trim up many other trees on our property. Thorough clean up afterwards. Owner Shane was on site for the whole day. Highly recommend this company.

Tru Grit did a great job for us, removed 1 tree and trimmed back 4 others. They were quick and cleaned up nicely. They actually worked on a few extra things above and beyond what we had requested.They are a first class operation.

Shane and his coworker did a wonderful job of removing six or seven trees from our yard. Two of them were medium sized fir trees and one was a decent sized dead maple in our wooded back yard. They did so with such expertise that it caused no damage to the underbrush or the surrounding trees. After using previous companies who did not seem to care about causing damage to the surrounding foliage, Shane's concern for the health of our other plants was a welcome change. He is friendly and helpful, while being honest about the price of his services up front, which we found to be very reasonable. We will be returning customers for sure.

When I purchased my new place in Forest Grove we were in immediate need of a tree service to remove some big trees close to the house. You know how it is when you are moving, selling your home, buttoning up loose ends. I was given a recommendation and called that company . Very expensive but like I said , I was in a big hurry. After working with that crew my trees were gone but I realized I was not only paying for the owner’s $100k truck, I was lied to multiple times . Not ok.
When it came time for the next batch of trees to come down I was determined to do some shopping around. I found Shane and Tru Grit and gave them
a call. He was on time, told me no lies and gave me an excellent price . Communication was great between the bid and the job day. His crew was on time , it was a wet snow yucky day and they worked a very full day with smiles on their faces. Super polite folks as well. They asked questions when needed and kept me informed each step of the day. Shane worked alongside the crew and you know when the owner is elbow deep with the crew you are getting an honest days work for your money. End of day I was so pleased I paid him more than he had asked for and gave cash tips to the crew as well. Two of the trees were in an area of the lawn that required man power only to remove the limbs and trunks. They earned that tip!

Our cat was missing for 4 days! When we finally found her last night she was down the road in a very large tree! Tru Grit said they would be here first thing in the morning to get her out! They showed up first thing and climbed over a 100ft tree to get her out! Professional, kind and had her out in no time! Thank you so much for saving our Snowball!

Tru Grit is an exceptional tree service company and so much more. Shane is hardworking, dependable and a true artist with an excavator. After the winter storm our road and only entry point to our home was devastated. Shane took care of that. Not only was he able to put huge fir tree root balls back into place and remove tons of brush, he was able to blade, compact and contour our road so it will last! After any work Shane does around our place he ALWAYS calls back to make sure everything is okay and we are happy. If anything is less than wonderful on any of our jobs, he returns to get it right. He is the person you want to help you with those tough outdoor jobs. He has the machinery with the expertise and know how to get the job done; and his bids are always fair.

Shane was my savior…Tree fell on my house at 1:15 am. He was at my house at 8:00 that morning with a plan. His crew was wonderful.
