Over the years, we've used Orion Roofing for three separate projects. The first was a shingle to 50yr composite upgrade, and then again after a remodel extension needing additional composite (did a great job color matching), and most recently a covered patio roofing project (also color matched). The crew was always super professional, kept me in the loop each time and did a great job of post work cleanup. Would definitely recommend Orion.

Would definitely recommend Orion for roof replacement assessment. One of the best experiences with a contractor I've had in a while. I called out to get a potential bid on a roof replacement and Jacklyn was able to schedule an inspection within a day. Doug came out to inspect the property both roof and attic and provided honest feedback on the state of the roof-taking hi-res photos. They were honest in saying that the roof had some years in it still and a replacement wasn't needed just yet and Doug provided some suggestions on maintenance items to get ahead of and replace in the next years.

Our process started out with multiple bids for our 23 year old roof with two layers of shingles from 3 companies, after receiving estimate and on site evaluation from Orion we selected them for our new roof. Great communication from the entire team at every step starting with Doug for initial inspection and assessment, to Jaclyn’s comms on all steps and estimate including level of roof options and upgrades if desired. They then got us immediately scheduled and provided a start and completion timeframe, They were able to start due to a cancellation within a week, Mario was their lead supervisor on site and he was fabulous to work with walking us through updates and checking with us daily. We even had extensive plywood replacement due to damage (leaks/moisture) they were able to take care of and still finish on schedule. Working with Orion on our roofing project was an extreme pleasure for my wife and I. We were in desperate need of a roof replacement or repair due to leaks causing internal damage. We appreciated how quickly Orion assessed the issues and came up with possible solutions. We decided to replace the existing roof and Orion gave the best pricing of all estimates we received. Orion was also the only one willing to replace it as soon as material arrived. All others would not have even started until Feb which was not good for my house. We looked at a few companies before choosing Orion. They took the time to understand what we were looking for. The crew was easy to work with and kept safety at the forefront throughout the project. When we bought our house 27 years ago the seller made a point of telling me that he had just had a new cedar roof installed by someone who he described as a "boutique roofer," named Jason Vaughan. With a normal amount of routine maintenance, the roof held up well for 27 years. During that time people who worked on the roof commented on the quality of the installation. When it came time to replace the roof, I discovered that Jason Vaughan was still in business as Orion Roofing. I gave him the job because what better recommendation is there than your own experience. Orion replaced the cedar roof with asphalt shingles, and also replaced the skylights, gutters, downspouts, and gutter guards as well. In addition, they rebuilt two cedar sided chimneys. The job began within two weeks of signing the contract. It went quickly and smoothly and was completed in four days. We are very pleased with the finished product. The quality was high, and the price for the job was fair. The crew was effective, efficient and did a thorough clean up. All of my questions were answered, and Mario conducted a walk around with me after the job was completed.

Orion Roofing (at the time, they were J. Vaughn Roofing) replaced our roof 25 years ago. I did extensive research at the time including the BBB and client references, and we interviewed and received estimates from 4 different roofing companies. We chose them and have never regretted the decision. We chose a 40-year shingle, and after 25 years, our roof is in good shape. We have taken good care of it over the years with regular moss treatments and periodically we have Orion come out to inspect. When we later replaced our windows, the workers left some unfilled holes in our roof and it leaked. Orion came out and discovered the cause and plugged the holes without charge. Several years ago, we did have them do a bit of refurbishment after an inspection. We have always been extremely pleased with their responsiveness and professionalism. About 10 years ago, we also used Orion to create a new gutter system at my elderly mother’s home after shoddy work done by another company. They did an excellent job and really helped us out of a bad situation. We would be pleased to recommend Orion Roofing to anyone.

Great experience all the way. I was referred to Orion Roofing by someone who helps to maintain my windows & gutters. I reached out to Orion by phone, and Jaclyn was quick to reply and we arranged an appointment for Mario & his team to come to my home to inspect the condition of my roof. Got a quote with 3 options the same day. We scheduled the job to occur at a time that fit my schedule. It began on time, and ended on time. The crew was courteous, took care to preserve my home, lawn & landscaping. The crew cleaned up every day and did a thorough cleaning & magnet sweep on the last day. I was provided street view and aerial 'drone' photos of the results. Their invoices were clear and accurate. They made it very easy to pay. Actually they made the entire process easy. I had a really great experience working with Orion Roofing to replace my roof. Within a few hours of reaching out, I worked with Jaclyn to schedule the initial appointment to have Doug inspect the roof and provide an estimate. Doug was very professional and straight to the point when breaking down the current condition of the roof and providing the estimate. Jason Vaughan (Owner of Orion Roofing) came and surveyed the derelict and leaking roof and all has flowed so very well ever since. The crew has a special kind of pride in working with and for Orion Roofing. I was able to see two different companies replace roofs at the same time because a neighbor was replacing her roof. The difference between the two was very apparent to me, in the craftsmanship and pride of work. My home and shed now have increased not only in physical value but curb appeal value. It’s been several years since our old roof began to leak and we weathered the winter with tarps. The next dry season we tore it off, replaced the needed plywood, and Orion Roofing came in and made quick work of the metal roofing we picked out. They did an amazing job with the flashing around all the awning posts and everything else poking out of our house. We have had zero problems with our roof since. Thank you Orion Roofing!

I highly recommend Orion Roofing. We badly needed a new roof on this old house and my main considerations for the project were high quality work, good price, and a reputable local contractor. I interviewed three companies and chose Orion based on my meeting with owner, Jason Vaughan. Orion’s price was reasonable, based on the other two estimates. Jason seemed very knowledgeable. But I don’t know that much about roofs, so I had to depend quite a bit on my gut in making this choice. Jason impressed me as a very authentic, experienced, and dependable guy, willing to take the time to answer all my questions.I liked that Orion is a local, family-owned business and that they take care of their people. It says something about the culture of a company when it’s been in business and owned by the same guy for decades, and has had many of the same people on their payroll for much of that time.
There were a number of factors that made this job more complicated than I would have predicted -weird, homeowner-built flat roofs over shed/workshop additions, shiplap instead of plywood in the main roof, incorrectly flashed chimneys (2), poorly installed skylight, pre-WWII lead paint - but project manager Mario took it all in stride and stayed in really good communication with me as to what was being done. He offered me choices whenever he could, and gave me his recommendations. He left me with great confidence that my job was being done right.
The crew was hardworking for long hours until the job was done, and they cleaned up after themselves daily. The final, big clean up at the end of the project was very thorough. Any time I needed to speak to someone in the office my calls were taken by a friendly, helpful person who could answer my questions. My emails were responded to promptly.
So my new roof looks amazing and I do believe my 95-year old house is standing up a little straighter, with a bit of a sassy attitude. And now when it rains I feel safe, dry and cozy. No more leaks. No more worries. Orion is a very good company. You should ask them to fix your roof. Thanks, Orion.
