Constraction reviews in McMinnville, Oregon

I recently had my bathroom remodeled by Bowline Construction, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. They installed new floors and baseboards, repaired the drywall, painted the entire bathroom, and even handled some tile demo and repair. The quality of their work was excellent, and you can tell they’re truly motivated to make the space look great for you and your family. I highly recommend them for any home renovation project!

Amazing job, quick on scheduling and fair price. I’m very happy with the results on the stair trim and they listened to my feedback and adjusted during the work which I very much appreciate! Will definitely use this company again, as well as recommend them to everyone I know.

When our plumbers ran into a structural issue while installing a new shower in our 1890s home, we were nervous about finding a contractor we could trust with a 135-year-old structure. After reading pretty glowing reviews from other homeowners with historic properties, we decided to hire Adam and his team at Bowline.

It was immediately clear during the quote that Adam is highly knowledgeable about building codes and older homes. The cost was fair, the workmanship was exceptional, communication throughout the project was excellent, and they finished the project on time. They cleaned up thoroughly and followed up later that day to thank us for the opportunity to work on our home.

Adam’s team even took the time to let my dad (who recently had a stroke) watch the process of pouring the self-leveling compound, which meant a lot to us.
We will 100% be using Adam and Bowline again for future projects as they arise.

Adam and his team were very professional and skilled. Bowline Construction was the top recommendation by 2 top retail lumber companies. There was no hesitation going with their recommendation. Adam was great to work with and communicated with me every step of the way. My project included a deck replacement, concrete pad installation and house siding replacement. I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out!!! I recommend Adam and Bowline Construction without any hesitation!

Bowline Construction did an outstanding job building my retaining wall. From start to finish, their communication was clear, professional, and timely. The crew showed up when they said they would, worked efficiently, and kept the site clean throughout the project.

The quality of the workmanship is excellent—the wall is solid, level, and looks even better than I pictured.

They paid attention to every detail and made sure the final result matched exactly what I needed. It’s obvious they take pride in their work.
If you’re looking for a reliable, skilled, and honest contractor, I highly recommend Bowline Construction. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Bowline was a pleasure to work with and we are already looking into having them do additional work on our house. Abby communicated clearly about plans and costs (which were very reasonable) and always responded quickly. Adam and Kyler did great work. They installed multiple interior doors for us and were meticulous in their work, making sure the doors were trimmed to fit perfectly and they took the time to fine tune the hinges so that all of the doors close easily and snugly. And they cleaned up all sawdust, both inside and in the garage. Highly recommend.

We were faced with an unanticipated challenge in what we thought would be a straightforward sink and faucet replacement by a local plumbing contractor. Tristan the plumber offered up a solution through a professional colleague and we were relieved that there might be a 911 style solution. He contacted Adam at Bowline Construction.

Adam was able to fit us into his schedule, prepared a more than fair electronic labor estimate on-site and proceeded to saw and grind granite and wood that would allow for the perfect fit with no damage to the granite.

We were so grateful and impressed we are now working with Bowline on potential design options and a rebuild of our exterior entry stairway in the near future. We look forward to working with Adam and his team on this new and bigger project as he has earned our trust in making our same day sink install a reality. Special thanks to Tristan, the plumber for the notable connection!

I would highly and confidently recommend Adam Kays and Bowline Construction. From the bid/quote process to the scheduling and finally the completed project, Adam and his crew were exceptional. We required a large concrete and drainage installation. They dealt with some real weather challenges and completed the project on time and as quoted. We are very pleased with the final product and would seek his expertise again should the need arise.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Adam provided a timely estimate and was very professional from start to finish. The project involved removing an old cement patio and cover and replacing it with a beautiful deck with a roof and three skylights. He patiently handled all the permitting details and communicated clearly throughout the process.
The crew was always on time, friendly, and courteous. Adam is very knowledgeable, offered great suggestions, and was receptive to my ideas and concerns. The materials—especially the cedar decking—were gorgeous, and every inspection passed with flying colors.
It was a pleasure working with Adam and his crew. I would definitely use Bowline Construction again and have already recommended them to friends.

Bowline did an absolute bang up job on our railing. Competitively priced, sense of urgency and hard working crew. Will use them again for any construction project.

Adam and his crew at Bowline are amazing. The first project they needed to do was dismantle my shower and do the drywall and painting. Everything they did was amazing and due to no fault of their own they had to redo some of the drywall and painting and you would never know that it had been done twice
The next project was a deck and a gazebo. Because of the placement of the deck, they had quite the challenge and they rose to it and created the beautiful deck.I couldn't visualize what it would look like and what they created was beyond anything I had imagined. They consulted with me on everything and made suggestions and the project turned out absolutely amazing. I sit out under my gazebo on a beautiful deck every single day. I would absolutely recommend Bowline Construction.

We hired Bowline Construction for our custom patio and roof project, and the experience was excellent. We came in with just a general idea, and Adam offered thoughtful suggestions that not only worked well but also made the finished product look amazing. He never pressured us, but it was clear he genuinely cared about the outcome. Communication was consistent throughout the process, and we were kept informed every step of the way. The team truly went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with every detail. I will call them again with any future needs!

Bowline responded quickly to our request for a project quote. Adam and the Bowline crew understood our vision and were knowledgeable about materials and craftsmanship to achieve the porch ceiling look we wanted. Extra steps were taken to assure our satisfaction with stain choices. They communicated well, got the project off timely and left the work area clean every day. Would highly recommend Bowline Construction.

I needed a new tile shower to replace an old fiberglass one in my basement Airbnb. Timing was important as I had to block days that the apartment could be booked. Adam was flexible in scheduling and kept to the time frame. He included things in the bid that really added to the quality of the project. The work came out great and I am very pleased. Since he was coming for my shower I also had him replace an upstairs window. He took great care to get the trim correct on my 75 year old home and the window looks great both inside and out. I also asked him to take the painting part of the project out as I can do that and he agreed (eagle eye viewers will notice the outside trim on the window is not painted, but fully primed). I highly recommend Adam, Leyton and Kyler.

We are so happy with our new fence! Adam and his crew were efficient, clean, and super respectful. They worked hard and got the job done unbelievably quickly — we were honestly shocked at how fast it came together without cutting any corners. The quality of craftsmanship is beautiful and far exceeded our expectations.

This replaced an old chain link fence that was a total eyesore, and now the backyard looks amazing. The cost was fair and competitive, and Adam clearly takes pride in his work — it really shows. He even built us a custom gate that’s perfect for what we needed.

If you’re looking for someone who’s professional, passionate, and delivers excellent work, we can’t recommend them enough. We couldn’t be happier!

We recently partnered with Bowline Construction for flooring and baseboard installation on one of our client’s homes, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.

They installed new LVP flooring throughout the main living areas, laundry room, and bathroom, along with fresh baseboards to tie everything together. The finished product completely transformed the space. The flooring transitions were clean and seamless, cuts were precise (even around tight areas like the bathroom and kitchen), and the baseboards were installed straight, tight, and professionally caulked.

Our client was extremely happy with how cohesive the home looked once everything was complete. Bowline’s team was punctual, respectful of the property, and kept the job site clean throughout the process. Communication was solid, timelines were met, and the quality of workmanship reflects real attention to detail.

As a contractor, it’s important for us to work with trades we can trust to represent our standards well in front of clients — and Bowline Construction absolutely delivered.

We’ll definitely be using them again for future projects.

Optimus recently replaced our roof. We are first time home owners that needed a full roof replacement. Their communication, pricing, and final product were above expectations. It's a very stressful endeavor and their professionalism and transparency throughout the process was fantastic. We would highly recommend their services for anyone and will definitely be calling them back if/when we need work done in the future.
