Ubaldo and his crew just finished a new sewer line and cesspool decommissioning at my home in SE portland. The work was done quickly, professionally (including having to scramble to get permits when the cesspool was discovered), on time, and on budget. Although the cesspool was an added cost, the price Ubaldo charged for the additional work was fair, and they still finished on time (just 2 days to get the whole thing done). His crew left my yard, sidewalk, and driveway cleaner than they found it, which really impressed my wife and I. Would highly recommend Sierra to anyone!

A fair price, stayed true to the bid, did great work, and also seems like a very nice guy. I would highly recommend Ubaldo. 👍👍 He disconnected my house from my neighbor’s sewer line and reconnected to the city main. I did shop around and get several bids before I picked Sierra.

These guys are truly amazing! Very good pricing compared to others. Very considerate and professional. Very careful.
They warned of the possibility of hitting sprinkler lines or other things but for us, when they saw a sprinkler in the corner of their dig zone, they hand dug around it to avoid it.
They made the holes smaller in diameter than I thought possible for connecting the house to sewer. They bored right under our house and pulled the pipe through from the small connection hole on the other side. (Granted, they did say our situation was easy compared to others they’d experienced.)

They put everything back to the way it was and even planted grass seed for us - which was above and beyond. They did many things that were above and beyond, I think.

I would recommend hiring them even if you don’t need anything done, just so you can experience true workmanship!

Awesome service for a reasonable price. Called them to install a back-flow device due to frequent flooding of my basement. Ubaldo, Diego and his crew were all top notch at assessing our needs, dealing with the city inspectors for the permit, and getting the job done at the price quoted. Experience matters, and these guys are pros! Will not hesitate to call them again if needed.

I was referred to Ubaldo Sierra by a person who knew of his work. I arranged to have him meet me on site to assess the job of installing 95 feet of sewer line; making a new connection to the city sewer from our house. He emailed me his bid to complete the job the same day as we had met. He was the lowest bidder by far. He procured the necessary permits, began work on schedule and finished on schedule in time to meet a closing deadline for the sale of our house.

The line was drilled from the rear of the house to a fifteen foot deep hole in the street in the front. His team worked quickly and they completed installation of the new line, replacement of blacktop and concrete and cleanup all within budget.

I would strongly recommend him to anyone with similar installation requirements.

I reached out to Ubaldo at Sierra Excavation after seeing the positive reviews. A water pipe in our front yard had broken and was flooding our front walk and sidewalk, the only resolution being to turn off the water for the entire house. I contacted two firms for diagnosis and estimates to fix the issue. The first company provided a substantial estimate for the complete replacement of the waterline from the main to the house. Ubaldo came and did a thorough test of all water valves, both inside the house and in the back flow system. He identified the problem and thoroughly tested his assumptions, before providing us with a solution that did not involve a replacement — saving us a serious amount of money! Throughout the process, he was professional, courteous, and most importantly, a genuinely nice person. If we ever have problems with our pipes again, we will certainly be contacting Sierra Excavation. Highly recommend!

The owner came to my house to do the scope and spent the time to make sure that I understood what the problem was and then gave me a couple options about what to do. His price was good and the work was completed quickly and correctly. After they were finished they did a good job of cleaning up after themselves and in the 6 months after the job was done we have had no further problems with our sewer. I can't recommend them enough.

I was blown away by what an incredible sewer replacement job these guys did on our home. We expected our lawn to be a disaster based on how much digging they did, but they did an amazing job cleaning everything up and it looks like there was barely any impact. I highly recommend Sierra Excavation! I found them to be responsive to my call a few minutes before 5pm on a Friday, had an estimator come out the next day (Saturday!), and got us on the schedule as soon as we needed them. Their prices were incredibly reasonable to dig a very long trench for an electrical project, and their team was so friendly, kind, and professional. I cannot recommend them highly enough. So grateful to find them in the midst of very stressful home improvement projects!

Exceptionally quick, and as other people have stated, a very fair price at that. Ubaldo and his crew nearly finished my sewer connection in one day had my neighbors flipping the house next door hadn’t run them off the shared driveway. Our neighbor and my family needed the sewer pipes replaced, and we felt the cost would be prohibitive and would require a lot of tearing up the property to make this happen.
Fortunately for us we received a strong recommendation from a real estate agent, who swore that Sierra Excavation and Construction LLC, would be the perfect candidate as they are highly qualified to tackle tough jobs.

Sierra Excavation did a great job with my sewer with extremely minimal impact to the landscaping and no impact to the house. They were able to do the whole thing through two small holes that they cleaned up, leveled out and replanted. The sewer was only disrupted for a few hours and the whole job only took a bit more than a day. They provide great value and friendly service. I'd definitely go with them again in the future.

Outstanding work and quick turnaround. We hired Sierra to install a new sewer clean-out. They had to dig a pit 6 feet underground in the rain and install the new clean-out. They did an incredible job and Ubaldo and his crew were professional, friendly and worked fast. They were done in 3 hours! The price was higher than we expected, but due to the depth they had to dig, we felt it was fair. They cleaned up the mess so well you can barely tell they were there. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to others.

What a great group. They were a refreshing breath of air for most of the contractors I have dealt with in Portland. On time, on budget and quality was excellent; even following up.

Our realtor recommended Ubaldo and Sierra Excavation for the sewer line we needed to replace on the 111 year old home we were buying. They were SO easy to work with. Ubaldo is extremely responsive and the guys that came to do the work were really nice, did an amazing job in only a day, and left the front yard in great shape considering they had to dig so much up. I hope we never need help with a sewer line in the future, but I know who to call if we do! My realtor was super impressed with the price, too, and said it was cheapest sewer replacement she had ever seen. I know price is surely determined by the circumstances of where the sewer line is, but the fact that even our realtor was impressed with the price says a lot!
