Very helpful, very nice! River City Roofing replaced our roof just prior to closing on our new home. When we had questions ~6months later they were easy to get in contact with and provided all the information we were looking for. Even when it became clear we were not in the business of hiring them, the Branch Manager was still patient with us and thoroughly explained what his team had done earlier, and how that impacted us now. Happy with the quality of work they did, and - maybe more importantly - really pleased with the generousity of their time and knowledge for new homeowners who are clueless about roofing :o

Josh Boer, is very knowledgeable and was able to help guide us in out time of need. We bought an older house and in Jan/Feb rains our house developed a leak and had water running into our bathroom. He helped us with the insurance claims process and what questions to ask. Josh is the best person on your side when you have a roof issue.

Have reached out to Josh Boer several times with roofing issues, and although his company couldn’t take on my tiny repair issues, he referred me some good companies to take care of me. Very responsive and helpful. Several of my clients have hired him to do repairs and replacements and they have all been very happy.

I had a leak in the ceiling during the winter wind/ice storm early this year. I posted in my neighborhood website looking for advice and someone from River City Roofing (sorry I can't recall her name, very nice lady) called me and sent someone out to inspect my roof the same day!!! Josh Boer was my roof inspector, very professional and knowledgeable of both (roof) technicals and dealing with home insurance. He submitted the claim with inspection pictures to my insurance and got approved 100% by my insurance within a week. My roof was replaced and done within 2 days in March 2021. I am very happy with River Roof City. Thank you, Josh for your great work and helping me during the difficult time. The process was seamless and timely. I also recommended Josh to my friend whose roof got damaged during the storm too and he provided my friend the same excellent service. I highly recommend this company (and Josh Boer). You'll be in good hands!!!

i want to share with everyone my experience with River City Roofing. This company was exceptional in all areas from communication, assistance and construction on my roof. I had a hail storm go through my town and destroy my roof. We were devastated! I had a flier from this company on my door by evening of the storm and gave them a call. Morgan from River City answered my call and said first thing in the morning he would be out. He was an exception person to work with. He was in great timing with scheduling and getting a crew out the next day! He also assisted me with the insurance company when they were not wanting to help me. Ashley in the office was also very kind and amazing too. Assisted me at times in need , very prompt also. The two employees work well together assisting me. Now the crew team that was sent out to us to do the work were exceptionally courteous! Job was done in amazing time and they had cleaned up everything like they never were there! The whole experience was suburb. This company I highly recommend doing your roof work. The company to worries out of this devastation for us. River City Roofing stands by their work because here it is a couple years after and we have a small leak on roof; not because of their work just a fluke, called River City up and Tim called back and said they would come out as soon as possible to fix the issue. Very timely matter coming back out, Thank you Tim. I'm very grateful for all their hard work, timeliness and standing by their guarantee on their work. I had a great experience getting my roof and gutters replaced by River City Roofing. Josh Boer was an excellent project manager. He was incredibly thorough in his inspection and did a great job managing the team and project start to finish. Rather then just replace the roof as it was he made valuable recommendations to ensure the roof replacement corrected problems form the roofing done 20 years previously. This included adding ventilation and fixing fascia so our new gutters hung properly. I would recommend River City Roofing in Portland to anyone needing a roof replacement.

We engaged Josh and River City (RC) for our roof that urgently needed replacement. Given the circumstances, we didn't have time to shop around. However, I did use a pricing model to 'check the horse' so to speak. River City will most likely not be your cheapest option, but they were well within what would be considered a reasonable price range based on my modelling. I indicated the same to Josh, but also that I would very likely had chosen them regardless had I decided to delay the decision.
I'm early on in this review, so likely this will duplicate. However, since I run a condo association elsewhere, I have dealt with several roofers and replaced 7 roofs over the years. I'm no true expert, but know more than I'd want to about roofs, materials and dealing with contractors.
Josh and RC, were soup to nuts top of the line. From the beginning to the end, they went out of their way and were far more responsive than most of the roofers I've dealt with. Clearly, wanting our business was a driver, but after the contract was signed to the finish, they could not have made themselves (including the back office) more available to address any of my questions or concerns.
Time will tell regarding the quality of their work and responsiveness to any, hopefully limited, warranty work. However, they performed what appears to be an amazing job, were very careful to be respective of the communities rules as well as our neighbors.
They went out of their way to commit to providing us top notch service and clean up after they were done to make it like they were never there.
I could not more highly recommend, nor speak for Josh and River City. They are worth your consideration and will likely win your business as well.

Jesse Coy was very helpful in getting our roof and gutter repaired. He personally tarped the holes from the tree branches that had occurred during the wind storm in January, and a day before the ice and snow.
This saved us water damage. He was a Godsend!
Jesse worked with our insurance company saving us stress. He assured us when we had questions.

First, Josh Boer, my main contact at the River City Roofing, was super helpful in fighting with my insurance company on my behalf to get the insurance company to cover storm damages that the company had initially declined to cover. Throughout my dealings with River City Roofing, Josh was responsive, respectful, professional, honest, and helpful.

River City Roofing completed the work on time; the quality of the work was superior; they thoroughly cleaned and hauled away debris from the project; they were respectful of my property, including my garden outside.

Josh first came out and did a very thorough inspection leaving my husband and I to feel that would be in great hands if they were given the job. Even better was that they replaced our roof in record time and Josh showed up every day to assure that things were going as planned. I never felt confused or distanced from all the work happening each day on our roof as we knew that all our questions would be answered as needed.

They made a thorough inspection of our roof and let us know the entire scope and cost of the project - unlike other companies that provided us estimates with the caveat that the cost could increase as they proceeded. As project manager, Josh kept us informed and made sure the crew knew the “ins and outs “ of the project. He gave us a timeline and the job was completed within that time frame. Josh inspected the project regularly, provided paperwork and answered all of our questions. The crew was experienced, worked hard and were great to have around. Quality material was used and the cleanup was efficient. This is an amazing company and I highly recommend them.
