Two years ago Bamboo Grove LLC replaced and added to my backyard deck, back porch, and pergola. This year they re-floored my front porch. Both times their work was excellent and beautiful! Joe works hard to provide what the customer wants, even before we know we want it and then work is always done to the highest quality. The guys in the crew are all the nicest folks to have around and we’re delighted to count them and Joe as friends. Truly the best experience ever!

Joe and his team did a great job containing and removing bamboo that had been improperly planted 15 years ago by a previous owner. When he started it was all over the yard. In a few days it was under control and we can now enjoy the backyard. I cannot recommend Joe and his team highly enough.

I cannot say enough good things about Bamboo Grove LLC. Every step of my project, which is an awesome addition to my home with heated concrete slab and custom exterior, has exceeded my expectations. Aside from the work being methodically perfect, every member of the crew is professional, polite, and nice to have around. Joe has been onsite several times to personally check in on the project and make sure I’m 100% happy with the work and progress. At the end of each day, the site is cleaned as if the job is complete, and all tools and materials are neatly stored.
I am a professional house flipper and furniture builder and have a keen understanding of what quality work looks and feels like. Bamboo Grove is an A+ operation. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could.

We had a great experience with our fence - from design to execution to follow up. Friendly, professional, and the end product gets plenty of compliments. It wasn't inexpensive, but also felt we needed to pay for quality and expertise. We needed this to last longer than our previous fence, which was good for only a few years. Highly recommend.

We bought a house whose yard was edged on one side with a thick grove of bamboo that had spread into the neighbor's yard and overwhelmed the fence between. We spoke with Joe and his team at Bamboo Grove before we even purchased the house, and they showed up shortly after we closed to eradicate the bamboo and rebuild the fence. They worked remarkably fast, were incredibly responsive when adjustments had to be made, and communicated well thoughout. The bamboo is now gone, the new fence is beautifully constructed, and we are thrilled with the work.

Attempted several times to have Bamboo and it's owner to come and check out the gate. Approximately 1 year after installation the gates didn't line up. Not a huge deal but noticed the hinges were awkward and the misalignment was worse when it rained. We started to get complaints from tenants and visitors of how hard it was to open the gates. After we realized Bamboo would not come back (even after stating they would) we had a professional fence repair person come out. He said it was installed incorrectly and the gate was too heavy for the type of hinges used. I placed some shims, replaced a hinge and put a brick to support the opposite gate as a temporary fix. Also the gate attachments were not correct (see pics).
I will not review a company until the work done has had some time to settle. I regret recommending Bamboo to many of my clients and friends.

The Bamboo crew did great work on our beautiful fence. They confirmed the design several times and before any major work was started they checked in again. Kept the place clean and were just nice people overall. A few hiccups but we got through it together.

Bamboo Grove did an incredible job removing bamboo from my yard. From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. The team showed up on time, worked hard, and left the space clean and completely transformed. I tried doing it on my own, with little sucess, but they made it look effortless. Thrilled I also have a one-year warranty in the event any bamboo returns (will post an additional update down the road).

Both the crew and owner (Joe) were friendly, respectful, and clearly take pride in what they do. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bamboo Grove to anyone dealing with invasive bamboo or are in need of any of their other services. I will definitely be in contact with them for any future needs.

Amazing experience the whole way through! Joe was very responsive right away with quotes and scheduling, made it an easy decision to decide to work with him. I had seen another project they had done in neighborhood and the quality was fantastic so we knew we were in good hands. Joe’s crew was very respectful with our property and always cleaned up at the end of the day. They were also really nice and surprisingly quiet for the type of work. I had one minor concern during the installation but Joe was quick to respond to my concerns and reassure me all was good and it was. I personally felt the price was good for the amount of work and after seeing the finish, I think the price is extremely good for the quality of work. I also had a very specific design in mind and Joe didn’t try to talk me out of it, he instead worked closely with me to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Thank you Bamboo Grove! I'm grateful for this company's service. They offered me a great price to repair some problems with my roof. There were leaks, and it really needed some work. You guys did a great job, and I'm proud of you. I would definitely call you again if anything like this happens.

I've just finished a complete overhaul of my backyard space with Bamboo Grove and I could not be happier! Every single square inch of my space has been updated and Joe and his team have officially taken my backyard from a largely non-sensible space to what feels like a Malibu oasis. He had creative solves for the tricky existing layout - figuring out how to fully enclose the space with a fence and custom gate, hiding my neighbor's unsightly adjacent shed structure, removing some big dying trees, and building a beautiful deck over some unusable concrete.

I appreciate Joe's creativity in coming up with solves that would transform the space and work within my budget. The crew was absolutely lovely to have around and cleaned up nicely each day before leaving.

We had a nightmare of a bamboo situation. Neighbor’s giant timber bamboo had overgrown into our yard, turning into a tangled mess under my decking, even puncturing my turf and attempting to break through my composite decking.

Hired Joe and his team to remove the bamboo, which ended up being a hefty job and a week-long process. I also hired to demo and remove the old decking and install new decking. The team was very thorough in the removal process, and did a great job with the composite deck replacement. Reasonable pricing too! Highly recommend Bamboo Grove for both bamboo removal and deck installation.

I loved hiring Bamboo Grove and the team of helpful, friendly, professionals that work there. I had two areas of bamboo on my property that had outgrown their barrier and were beginning to affect the rest of the property, but Bamboo Grove took care of everything. The spreading bamboo was removed, the remaining bamboo was placed into bins, and the team even repaired a leaning fence post that had been affected by the overgrowth. The project was completed on-time and they left my property clean and tidy. From start to finish, I was always informed and updated about the project. The owner of staff of Bamboo Grove are responsive, have high integrity, and do a great job! We first called Bamboo Grove over a year ago when we had a problem with some mature, invasive bamboo that a previous owner had planted at our property. Joe and his team provided a competitive bid, removed the bamboo, and warrantied it for a year. When a few shoots popped up (as are bound to happen when not contained properly by the previous owner), I contacted Bamboo Grove and they came back out more than once to remove it and stand by their promise.

They did such a good job on that project, that we contracted with them again for an entire backyard rehaul to remove a ton of boulders and old decking, level out the yard, install turf, relandscape the perimeter, and rebuild a deck and stairs. They re-used existing materials whenever possible, to be budget and environmentally conscious. Bamboo Grove collaborated with us on the design and price to customize a complete revision of our space that fit our budget, and we're very pleased with the results. The crew were friendly, kept a clean and safe workspace, and delivered beautiful results.

There are a lot of contractors out there who provided exponentially higher quotes, who promise big and under-deliver, but Bamboo Grove shows up, is great to work with, and stands by their craftsmanship. Highly recommend!

Bamboo Grove is the BEST! Working with Joe was such a pleasure from start to finish. He really listened to what I wanted and helped me fit it in within my budget. His crew was so kind, professional, and cleaned up every day before they went home. They are such detail oriented workers and I am beyond impressed with the work they did! It is truly amazing craftsmanship. Bamboo Grove went above and beyond all expectations and I would recommend them to anyone!!! I am SO happy with how my deck and awning turned out. Portland Design Contractors came to my rescue during a home renovation, repairing structural deficiencies, unsafe conditions, and inadequate workmanship performed by a previous contractor I had to fire. Completing the project on time and within my budget.

I'm not sure , who, the persons in charge are, I just know that I introduced myself, earlier this week, to one of the "in charge" fella, grey hair and glasses, and then today Bill, who while they were working on the 52nd and Duke gas station, and the store was still open, he helped direct me to be in there and get out real quick. That kind of customer intuitive for the local business was great.. just not sure how to give them Kudos but that team was very accommodating!

What a pleasure to work with a team that values sustainability, design, and efficiency. They run an organized, well-oiled machine from start to finish.

I asked them to move their construction materials so it was not obstructing too much of the street for the neighbors of the folks getting their home remodeled by them. They were polite, responsive, and understanding. I appreciated that.

This company was able to evaluate my home to see if it was feasible to build another floor on top - it was, but not advisable. They advised that it would be cheaper to build into the backyard or purchase a different location, which was super helpful. I appreciated the honesty!
