I recently had Pinnacle Solar NW install a solar system on my house in December 2024. I have to say the experience was beyond my experience with other solar companies. Starting from pre-sales with Dan, he took the time to educate me on what was best, trade-offs etc, through the follow up of personally meeting the owner Steve, his lead electrician Tim, and the rest of the crew. They were responsive and understanding of my questions and ensured I had a pleasant experience. The system is working as advertised and even after setup, they have been available to answer any questions I had.

Highly recommend! Every step of the process was smooth sailing and clear skies with the sales guy Dan offering a compelling case for solar and a work-up of the long-term value given our roof, typical weather, and even the impact of nearby trees! Sky and Obi, our installers, were all smiles, super professional, and kept a clean worksite. The electrician was similarly attentive to detail. Steve, the owner, was onsite every day to help with installs, inspections, etc. Absolutely outstanding crew and especially happy now that my roof is knocking my electric bill down to nothing. Plus it's fun to watch the weather and power generation and see them cover our power usage. Call them today!

Dan, Steve, and Team at Pinnacle Solar NW were absolutely amazing to work with. They worked with me to make sure that the install fit entirely on the back of the house and were able to find a set of panels that had a higher capacity, thus increasing my solar coverage to 97% of need. Fantastic! Install happened 2 months ahead of schedule and their prices were considerably more affordable than some other solar companies I talked to. The project couldn't have gone better.

Pinnacle Solar NW Great company to work with Owner was incredible, Sales rep great, installers VERY knowledgeable. They were very busy due to bad weather and things started and then stopped due to the wind. When I asked questions, the installers were able to explain everything at a level that I was able to understand. The site cleanup was very well done. Last the company owner even came on site to see how things were going, I was impressed with that…. It showed he wanted the customer to know he cared for them.

I called Pinnacle Solar Nw and talked through the details of my requirements and received excellent feedback about potential options. It took several iterations of system design due to the permitting department in West Linn, however, I could not be more happy with the customer service and Quality of product that was installed. The price of the system was very competitive and the installation was completed per the agreed timeline.

Pinnacle solar NW was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of our project. They were the only company that was able to find a solution to PGE’s limitations and get us to 97% PGE offset.
We have only had our system up and running for a few weeks but no issues as of yet.

Steve, Sky, and everyone else were so friendly and clear as they walked us through all of our options and helped us understand what everything meant. Even when the changing solar tax credit situation made it look like we might have to back away from the project, they bent over backward to help us find a path to still afford our installation without pressuring us at any point. Extremely Disappointing Experience – Lost Federal Tax Credit Due to Mismanagement

We initially chose this installer because they appeared professional and knowledgeable, even engaging us in discussions about optimizing our solar panel layout. Based on their assurances, we confirmed the project nearly 2.5 months before the federal tax credit deadline, expecting timely completion.

To proceed with them, we canceled an application with another installer who promised a faster timeline and stopped pursuing two others offering aggressive pricing. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced.

From the moment we signed, there were no proactive updates on project progress. Communication was poor—responses only came after repeated follow-ups. After weeks of pestering for an installation timeline, we were finally told—at the last minute—that they were short-staffed and could not complete the project in December. This left us zero time to approach alternative installers, resulting in the loss of the federal tax credit.

This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic: they made viable promises to secure our business, then failed to deliver, causing significant financial harm. If you value transparency, timely execution, and accountability, look elsewhere. Our experience was frustrating, costly, and completely avoidable with honest communication.

Although I was initially hesitant because Pinnacle Solar NW is relatively new, conversations with Dan and the owner, Steve, quickly reassured me—their team is composed of seasoned professionals with deep expertise in the solar industry.

I have only good things to say about Pinnacle Solar NW after choosing them to install solar panels and batteries at our home in October. In particular, I have to highlight the excellent professional work done by the two installing technicians, Rion and Sean. Not only were they skilled and trustworthy, but they discovered a pre-existing faulty wiring hazard on our roof, and stayed well after dark to coordinate with local utility officials and fix the problem. Spotting and removing a fire hazard we never knew we had may have been worth the project's price by itself, and Steve Nye and his Pinnacle team did an excellent job moving the project through the state and local paperwork and getting us the best Energy Trust incentives. Pinnacle NW Solar offered us the best deal on the Energy Trust marketplace from the beginning, and I'd recommend them to anyone considering solar or batteries for their home.

When my roof structure needed some extra engineering and upgrades, the owner, Steve, stepped in and did the work himself to keep costs down.
