I have to say I was very, very, very pleased with this company. They discovered that I had a fire within my wiring, going to my heat pump in my air conditioning system. Apparently, the developer that built my home shove too many wires in the junk box and it had totally Sparked and burned and thank God our house burned down. However, Josh’s company was fantastic. I was referred by the HVAC company and they came out that day and they came back and fixed everything the next morning. I’m very pleased with them. The picture is what they found in my ceiling.

My smoke detectors were beeping. I am very glad they could provide replacement within same day. It's more expensive than I expected but considering one of the detector is at ~18ft tall ceiling I think it's still worth it. Hope the new detectors could last many years!

While doing some minor remodeling on my home, we ran into a wiring problem. It was kind of an emergency, so on short notice Smiley Electric came out to troubleshoot and restore power. Josh did such a good job that I later had him change out my old electrical outlets. I recommend.

The guys at Smiley Electric came out and gave me a couple of options, both of were very reasonably priced. They were very friendly and they did exactly what I needed to have done. I had an excellent experience with this company! Their customer service was outstanding, and they were professional and reliable from the first phone call all to the work being done. Josh, the owner was incredibly helpful and made sure everything was handled smoothly. His communication was clear, and the work was completed in the time- frame he said. I always take the time to write positive reviews for businesses but I am taking the time to write a very negative review. I requested a quote for 6-7 dimmers to be put in my home. I chose Smiley because I was given a $500 coupon for any electrical service for new homeowners. I mentioned this when I 1st called and she was aware of this great coupon. When I received my quote I only said I must be a bit out of touch because it was over $800, but I placed no blame with them. She then said they would give me a 10% discount. I always think this is shady anyway; why not quote it that way in the 1st place. They then requoted me for just 5 dimmers so I accepted the bid of $725 and scheduled the work. They had availability the very next day?! I let them know I would be paying cash to avoid the $25 credit card fee and then use the coupon. Only then did she inform me a minimum of $1800 in work has to be done before I could use the coupon. I scoured the coupon and found NO terms addressing this. I asked her to simply provide the terms as to why I could not use this coupon. Instead the informed me she already gave me a 10% discount. That is irrelevant, I would have gladly paid the full price and used the coupon as it was clearly offered. Of course my calls went unanswered. I then emailed the owner, Josh Smiley asking about the terms and were they really not going to honor their advertised coupon?. Crickets. He never responded. They were very responsive when I was calling to give them business. Super disappointed in their false advertising. Needless I’ve had the work successfully done by a licensed electrician for $500. Honestly I don’t care what it costs; it was the false advertising and then complete lack of response or explanation as to why they sent this coupon to the real estate firm I had used, as an offer to new homeowners. Then refused to honor it. I really did read the fine print and there was none. I thought they would at least show me what I was missing with regards to the $1800 requirement. Nope - but hey, ALWAYS ask for that 10% discount since they quote you high in the 1st place and THEN offer 10%.

We met Josh from Smiley electric when he was assisting with our new furnace install. He was super friendly and very professional, and was an extreme pleasure to work with! If we need any electrical work in the future, we would be very happy to contact Smiley Electric for their services!

In August 2025, our company worked with Smiley on a very small, straightforward power-pole installation for a local business. Communication and scheduling leading up to the job didn't raise any concern. Once on site, Smiley arrived unprepared and late. However, this didn't draw much attention since things like this happen.

Our concern began during the billing process. We found it extremely difficult to reach anyone at Smiley, and repeated attempts led only to dead end call routing and AI message takers. We ultimately visited their office in person to confirm the company was real and had the chance to briefly speak with Josh, the owner, who assured us the invoice would be addressed the following week.

It has now been three weeks since that conversation and nearly five months since the job was completed. We still have not received payment. We are leaving this review to follow through on our word.

They attended to us quickly and gave us an appointment that same day. We paid $300 for them to come and look at the job; they originally said it would cover one hour of work. The technician saw us the first time for five minutes. During that visit, he assured us we would receive a $200 credit, but when we received the quote, they didn't give us that discount. I had to "remind" them of what they had promised. When I spoke with the woman, she was short and very rude, as if they were doing us a favor. We decided to proceed just because we need it to fix our electrical problem and schedule the appointment for the work, which they eventually canceled without any reason. When I called to see if we could cancel part of the work since we urgently needed to have only one of the things done, the woman was extremely rude. I wanted to cancel everything, but it seemed I wouldn't get any of the money we had paid upfront to reserve the job back. I got upset, and that's the only way they reacted. They came to my house that same day, and everything was fine. We checked out with another electrician and this job cost the double. The technicians were excellent, but the price and customer service were terrible.

Smiley Electric was prompt in their communication and offered genuinely helpful customer service. They provided a quick quote and took the time to walk through every detail with me. I ultimately chose not to move forward with the project, but I’d gladly reach out to them again in the future to compare rates or explore new options.
