Have a problem with my AC, they were able to come out to check the power same day and referred me to their AC guy for further diagnostic/repairs. Excellent customer service and I'll definitely use them if I ever have electrical needs in the future.

Exceptional in every way! I received a quick response to my inquiry about a new 200 amp service panel. We were replacing our HVAC system and the old panel was maxed out due to an RV outlet. And, the type we had was prone to catch fire according to our home inspector. Matt was our point man who explained the job scope, and coordinated with PGE, City of Portland and Cost Plus Heating to get everything completed. Matt kept us informed throughout the process and helped minimize any disruption to our routine. Our new electrical panel gives us all of the power we need and it even looks good. This is a top notch company that values their customers and the work they do! Thank you Alameda Electric.

I love these guys! They bring back the true meaning of customer service. They helped us out a few weeks ago and just did it again. Dave and Tiana make a great team and do an excellent job of taking care of business. Quick and easy; great to work with. I have added them to my contacts and they will be my electricians for life!

What a caring company! The owner contacted us personally about our emergency, and Katie was able to squeeze us in the next day. They were professional and explained everything. I would recommend them to anyone. We are going to get on the schedule for a bigger job soon.

Have used these folks several times at our old house and now again at our new house. Lee has always been a super awesome dude, extremely thorough in his explanations of the work he is doing and explains when he’s done as well. He’s always willing to answer any question whether related to the current project or potential future projects. Can’t recommend enough

If you hate good quality work, friendly professionals, and a great experience, DO NOT choose Alameda Electric LLC because they're the worst at being horrible.

Communication and scheduling was amazing with Alameda Electric (AE). The electricians that AE dispatched were very personable and friendly, on top of being really stellar in their craft. If you're an engineering nerd like me, they were gracious in sharing their process of installation in great detail. The electricians also gave me some really great suggestions on installation ideas which they implemented. AE electricians were so artful in the install that they left little to no footprint of wall destruction (which I get that it will happen with electrical installations) and left the areas clean. It's like the installed power outlets have been there this whole time. They are magicians!!

Lastly, I dig the Jedi/Padawan vibe the electricians brought as the one electrician introduced the other as his apprentice then they proceeded to slay the evil galactic empire power outlet installation.

Best customer service and experience I have had! The team at Alameda was quick to respond to an urgent house call after Comcast Xfinity drilled into my electricity. Dave provided advice over the phone to ensure my house was safe and then showed up within hours. A few weeks later, I hired Alameda to complete work on my new-to-me home - grounding and bonding the unit, correcting polarization, making outlets GFI certified, properly connecting/wiring the dishwasher, etc. Tiana coordinated the day of service and was incredibly helpful and personable. Lee was the electrician I worked directly with and was incredibly thorough in everything he did! He took the time to review everything that he spotted in his primary run through of the house, breaking down the things that absolutely needed to be completed versus the things that could wait versus the things that were really just on my "dreamlist" (like a circuit for installing a disposal). He knew that I was on a budget and broke down the costs for me of each task needed. This made things much easier for me to make an informed decision. This was really one of the BEST experiences I have had as a new homeowner and I felt confident that the work was done well. I would absolutely recommend Alameda Electric in the future.

Based on reviews - seems like it's pretty common to have a difficult time scheduling and communicating with them. We called them multiple times, took a long time to schedule an appointment, and when they finally came out to check out, they left promising to give us a quote in 24-48 hours. That did not happen and multiple unprofessional communication issues continued to occur, so we did not end up going with them. Not sure how good of a job they do when you can actually get them to come and do it, but just be warned that it seems they are not the most professional, organized company that respects your time from our perspective.

Lee gave us excellent customer service today in resolving our issue with no power in our kitchen. Tiana was very friendly, responding to my voicemail within minutes and Lee (who happened to be finishing up a job nearby) arrived a half hour later! He was super patient, helpful, professional and informative, answering any questions I had and resolving my problem quickly. Price was super reasonable as well. We will definitely use Alameda Electric in the future, should any issues come up! Highly recommend.

Fantastic! Friendly, timely, knowledgeable. Lee was skilled, quick, and shared ideas and helpful information freely. I have an older house and he assessed where the wiring was safe and fixed up any issues. Discussed my treadmill and outlet wiring situation and helped me reach a much less expensive conclusion than what I thought I needed. Tiara is prompt and friendly. If I need any more electrical work I am certainly calling Alameda.

We had a great experience with this company. They responded quickly, provided us with a detailed estimate, and completed the work on the exact schedule agreed to. But just as important, the specific electrician they sent us, Lee, was incredibly knowledgeable about old houses, extremely patient explaining to us all our options, and kept us from making dumb decisions. He did impeccable work and cleaned up after himself! It was our first experience with this company and we feel incredibly lucky to have found them!

You can't be doing business with them. They billed me for something they could not fix (ghost invoice). Also for a different larger project the employees got into some drama while in the house (imagine strangers fighting in your house) - bickering. They were fighting with the guy who came in and did the estimate. It was really difficult to communicate with them. Additionally they had an apprentice with them and were being bossy-abusive with them (in my house).

I give Alameda Electric 5 stars for customer service. I reached out to 3 electricians to fix our electrical issue and Alameda Electric is the only one who responded to me. I was impressed how fast they got back to me even through they are busy and their offer to put me on their cancellation list since they are booked a ways out. We ended up fixing the issue ourselves and didn’t use their services but I’ll definitely reach out to them again next time we need work done.

One of the only responses for help was from Alameda. Made an appointment & was very happy with the electrician, Lee, & his work. Knowledgeable & willing to explain everything, Lee was awesome. I will use Alameda in the future!
I had another visit from Lee with Alameda today & he was amazing. He installed 2 ceiling fixtures in a short amount of time. His work is excellent, he is careful & conscientious and great to work with. Thank you again. Pricing is great, too.

Although it took a long while to get scheduled -- so much that I thought they had forgotten about me -- it was well worth the wait. Lee did a fast and professional job installing two ceiling fans in my old house, including swapping out the switches exactly as I wanted. I am very happy with the work and will use them again.

I had a great experience with Alameda! Scheduling was easy, and electricians Lee and Katie were a pleasure to work with. They completed a full knob and tube rewire for our wonky 110 year old house with essentially zero patching or re-plastering needed, and were meticulously clean and organized during the whole job. Five stars!

Alameda Electric just completed installation of an 18k Generac whole house generator. After 50+ years in my hilly SW Portland home and regular -some long term- outages due to snow, ice, fallen trees and more, I researched various products and installers. Portland-based Alameda Electric topped them all in customer satisfaction. Now I know why. They exceeded my expectations in all categories: communications, project coordination, professional installation, instruction and project followthrough. Garrett Howard was the outstanding point person that coordinated the whole process patiently and promptly. Dave and Jonathan were the electrician wizards; their work was very thorough; great attention to detail along the way. Very clean installation. Very good people and great workmanship. In testing, the Generac product smoothly transitions back and forth from PGE service to generator without delay or flicker. Virtually seamless. Totally automatic. While I hope the storms are not as bad, it's nice to know this new system provides me comfort and peace of mind. Thanks! RFK

We have always had a great experience with Alameda Electric! They helped us with wiring for a hot tub and also replaced the entire panel more recently. They have been excellent communicators and are punctual and do what they say they are going to do. We found them to be professional and have educated us on how to stay safe with electricity. We would recommend them without reservation! Friendliness is a major bonus! :-)

I loved working with Alameda, particularly with my project manager Matt. They communicated regularly and politely about project requirements, scheduling, and pricing. I got quotes from four different electricians for the job, and they were priced the most reasonably. They also came up with an idea for my panel replacement that saved me thousands of dollars. My inspector couldn’t stop remarking on how excellent the work looked when the project was complete.

Alameda did a full replacement of my panel, upgraded the service on my house, brought old electrical up to code, rewired my hot tub, installed five outlets and a kiln outlet in my garage, installed a wall heater, installed two new breakers in my garage, put in two indoor light fixtures, and put in a new outdoor light fixture. Everything looks AMAZING and works so well.

I can’t express how friendly the workers were who came to the house. Everyone was kind and professional. I slowed down the project doing insulation an drywall myself, and they were incredibly patient, allowing me to pay as I went after each part of the project was completed. They came in super quickly after each step was done.

Billing and payment were done through an online portal and worked without issues. Communicating about the project was fast and easy.

I’ll definitely continue to use them for future electrical projects. Highly recommend them to friends as well.
