Working with Karen from Drake's 7 Dees has been a great experience every step of the way. Karen expertly managed all logistics of our project. She was responsive, timely & detailed. She also walked me through our project so I had a full understanding of each plant’s care and maintenance. More importantly, her eye for balance and beauty is unmatched. The end result of her landscaping plan is a harmonious blend of color, textures and layers. Our yard will be a joy to drive home to for years to come thanks to Karen!

We were extremely pleased with our service technician, Lee Clifton. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He had good ideas to address our concerns, he made the necessary adjustments to improve our filtration system, and he did a fantastic job cleaning our pond. He even moved a fountain light so that our waterfall would be more aesthetically pleasing. He was personable and thoughtful in his work. We would highly recommend Drake's 7 Dees and Lee.

Amazing old school nursery. I almost dont want to post this for fear it will become too popular and plant nerds like me will have to wait in line to see what cool specimens they get in. I was there on a way to an appointment so I had limited time but was able to get a camellia species for bonsai, a hardy orchid, and two species of stag horn ferns for a great price. Cant wait to return.

Drake’s 7 Dees is not the closest nursery to my home, but I drive out of my way to shop at Drake’s for their high level of customer service and quality landscaping products. The specialist that helped me, Nadia, was knowledgeable, professional, and very personable. She took the time to truly consult and understand my landscape projects and got me out the door with trees and plants that I’ve very happy with. They truly care about their product and service. Highly recommended.

It took a little while to get started on this project, but once we were on the schedule, everything went smoothly. Tim S. and Michael M. understood exactly what we wanted out of our small urban backyard - an additional living space that felt welcoming and restful - and helped design the space (approx. 40' x 40') to take advantage of every square foot. We wanted low maintenance plantings that suit our climate and location, and we are very happy with the viburnums, ferns, and grasses that now border our yard.

Juan C. and his tireless crew were faced with a real challenge getting materials to our backyard, which is not accessible to vehicles. They lugged everything in and out by hand - dirt, pavers, gravel, and even three 400 lb stone blocks for a set of steps. They worked in some of the worst weather we had all year, and still got it done quickly. The entire team was careful and conscientious, always going the extra mile to make sure we were happy with their progress and taking special care not to disturb the neighbors and to clean up the work site. The carpenter, Randy W. from Cedarscapes, was a dream to work with - he really cares about the end result. He designed our pergola in his shop, and it was assembled on site within a day!

We ended up with a paver patio, a 12'x12' pavilion, a newly leveled backyard, an eco-friendly lawn replacement, and a refurbished and improved back porch and stair, and we couldn't be happier. These folks know what they're doing!

Please note - in the photo, we haven't had the porch painted yet, and we don't have proper furniture!

Tim was very responsive and came out to help us with an issue we were having with a gas fire pit that we installed as part of a project two years ago (water had gotten in it). No charge for the visit. Thank you Tim!!!

Update: After posting our initial review, the owner of Drakes 7 Dees reached out to us directly. He took the time to genuinely listen to our concerns, was sincerely apologetic about the issues we experienced, and has since taken meaningful steps to address the communication and management challenges we encountered. We truly appreciate the accountability and effort to improve.

While our project had its share of frustrations, we want to emphasize that the quality of the work—especially the irrigation, waterfall, boulder walls, and staircase—was excellent. The final result looks beautiful, and we’re very happy with how it turned out overall. It's clear that the team has strong craftsmanship and attention to detail when it comes to hardscaping.

We hope that others will benefit from the improvements the company is making, and we’re glad to see our feedback taken seriously.

We hired Drakes for landscaping and hardscaping but were disappointed overall. While the irrigation and hardscaping work, including the waterfall, boulder walls, and staircase, were well done, the landscaping was only decent, with some old roots left and a few plants incorrectly placed. The main issue was poor planning and communication—there were frequent delays (they changed the start date 5 times) plan changes made without prior discussion and full disclosure, and a lack of updates. Due to these problems, we will use another company for future work and would not recommend working with Drakes 7 Dees for your landscaping projects.

Justin responded to my call for assistance with resetting sprinkler heads and programming the system. He is a natural born teacher and provided information on the different types of sprinkler heads in our yard, how to adjust them, and how to program the operating system. Excellent customer service. Thank you, Justin!

Working with Drake's 7 Dees to fix up my lawn irrigation system was a great experience. Scout in the office answered all my questions and was very courteous and helpful. And when Justin came out to check my system and fix a sprinkler, he was also kind and knowledgeable, explaining to me how my irrigation worked and how I could use it better. I will definitely work with them in the future.

We hired Trevor and his team to design and landscape our backyard after seeing the great work he did on a neighbors house. We are very happy with the results, it's a complete transformation. The crew (Ivan) was very professional, kept the site clean, stuck to their schedule and budget, and wore masks and kept social distancing due to COVID. I'd be happy to work with them again on any future projects.

Thank you for taking my wife’s concept and bringing it to life accentuating our existing features and surrounding green space. I appreciated the recommended handrails for the stairs and gradual inclines allowing us to age in place and enjoy our back yard for years to come. 7 Dees was great to work with. The patios, water feature, and hot tub structure are beautiful! We love our back yard.

Drake's 7 Dees completed a decent sized project on my property. They were very professional and offered some good ideas for the landscape architecture component of the project. They took my plan and added all the details and were able to execute. I'd consider them on the more expensive side but the overall result is a beautiful space and that's what makes me happy. I will be enjoying the irrigation system, landscaping and hardscaping they did for many years to come.

I stopped by on Sunday, looking for inspiration, maybe a new houseplant, but received a crash course on designing container gardens from Nadya!

This location offers a great selection of healthy indoor and outdoor plants, as well as everything that will meet those plants' needs. Customer service was top-notch, highly recommend this local shop!

I appreciated the professionalism, customer respect, communication and the ability of Drake's 7 Dees team to successfully deliver a process from customer consultation, design and outstanding production. We are delighted with our new landscape.

Karen redesigned our mostly deciduous, overgrown front yard in spring 2023. Over a year later I can confidently say our yard is checking all our boxes! We requested modern, evergreen, low maintenance, drought tolerant landscaping and Karen’s design delivered all of those. We’ve been so pleased with how our plants have matured and how great it looks year round now. Karen was great about telling us what plants to keep or transplant to help keep costs down and gave us great pointers about caring for our new plants. Thanks Karen and the Drake’s team!

Karen was an absolute JOY at the Scholls location. I’m a total beginner and she was incredibly kind, helpful and wildly talented. She got my style immediately and created a beautiful potted assortment and designed my front porch placement off one picture. I’m so thrilled and would refer to her anyone looking for help. Would give 10 stars if I could.

Highly recommend especially during the holiday season. The lights etc really get you in the Christmas spirit. Marly is especially helpful and knowledgeable. Very upbeat and positive, breath of fresh air.

Norman w/Drake’s 7Dees was our irrigation technician today. He installed a new Rain Bird Controller System, checked all sprinklers, installed new sprinkler heads, added a sprinkler, repaired and tested our back flow system and helped us with the Rain Bird 2.0 app. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous and very friendly to work with on this project. We highly recommend Drake’s 7Dees and Norman. He definitely deserves more than 5 stars!!

I appreciated the way that Drake's 7 Dee's kept in touch during our very large project. They designed and installed water features, supplied capable sub-contractors for terracing, rock walls and paving stone installation. The result is beautiful and practically useful for our family and friends. Not the cheapest, but I highly recommend Drake's 7 Dee's.

We had a major project that included revamping our entire back yard. The project was too large for us to even imagine how to make it all work and look beautiful as well. Michael and the team at Drake's were the perfect fit for our landscaping remodel.

From the beginning meeting to the recent plant replacement, Michael was there to help us with every step. Excavation of failing retaining wall, construction of the new walls, building a small deck, installing lawn, fencing, gravel pathways, irrigation, drainage and the plants. We chose Drake's so they would manage all of the disparate parts of the project. They worked well with their subs, and the subs did quality work. Their staff gardeners treated the plants as if they were their own.

So - about the plants - the quality was excellent. Michael was there to aid in getting everything placed properly and gave us guidance on how to care for them. We even added a native wildflower section in the wild part of our yard. This was the first summer everything was blooming and it was spectacular. The entire garden brings pollinators from all around. Flowers bloom and open at different times throughout the days and through the seasons. It has really added to our enjoyment of the property.

The design turned out to look very similar to the spec photos he provided with the plan. Several elements he added make the space feel inviting. A spot for a bench, raised garden beds, stately Calamagrostis blowing in the wind...it's really something. We are enjoying our yard so much more than we ever imagined. If you're thinking of improving your yard, do it!

Needless to say, we would recommend using Drake's Seven Dees without reservation.
