Early last year, after finishing up a bathroom remodel, my partner and I decided to keep going and do the entire house. After a few months of researching and sketching, we hired a designer to help us finalize our plans. We decided on finding a new contractor, since the last one, was less than a great experience. After interviewing several, Tim Tunison of Dogwood Home Repair became our guy. He was the most respectful and right from the start, he made us feel like we were a team. He was inquisitive, knowledgeable and quick to laugh with a great sense of humor. And even though his bid wasn't the lowest, he understood exactly what we were going for and was able to fit us, rather quickly, into his schedule. That's what cinched it for us.

Once work started, we were pleasantly surprised at his skill level and experience, he humbly undersold his talents. We were beyond ecstatic, especially after our recent experience with the other contractors. Then just as we were in the full swing of things, some sudden life changes, turned the focus of our project around. It went from being a house 'remodel' to an 'update to sell' quick. Tim didn't stutter once. He expertly adapted to the new changes and scope of work. And was actually instrumental in helping us figure out a few other things to bring the project under budget and on time. A rarity, we were lucky enough to experience!

And even after the project was complete, Tim would drop by from time to time and lend a quick hand with a landscaping project I decided to add afterwards. Would have loved to have contracted Tim again, especially knowing what an amazing green thumb he has, but couldn't, due to scheduling. He's a man in demand. But the fact that he was so kind and generous with his time, when he didn't have to be. Showed his dedication to helping us make our home complete, that was absolutely refreshing. It truly solidified our respect and admiration for him as not only a craftsman but as a genuinely good human being.

After everything was complete, our home was the talk of the neighborhood and we ended up having an easy time selling it. We not only got multiple offers, but all of them, were over asking. We know, none of this, would have been possible without Tim's help. We would hire him again in an instant.

Tim is a very likable guy. He is always on time with estimates and job completion. It has been my experience that Tim is one of the more affordable and professional contractors I have dealt with.

We called Tim over to take a look at a broken shower head. Tim was able to problem-solve the situation in a few minutes. Rather than charge us for any time, Tim said the problem could be easily solved by us with a trip to a particular plumbing store for an unusual part and then a very easy installation. We happily did it. In the end, Tim did not get any immediate business from us, but he certainly gets our gratitude for excellent customer service!
