Dale is the best. I had a huge Elm tree fall on my house and he was amazing to work with. He is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and efficient. He helped me figure out how to get the electricity company to take responsibility for a part of the tree, something I never would have known to do on my own. And for the rest, he removed the massive tree from the roof and cleared all of the branches and debris. I am hiring him again soon to do more tree work for me.

Dale and Vern just left my house and I felt that I had to leave this review, even though I don't normally leave reviews. These guys removed a massive nuisance tree that had been allowed to gradually explode over the past decade, engulfing phone and ethernet cables, power lines, fencing, and probably the foundation of the house.

Honestly, I was dubious that they'd be able to take it down in a single day, given how dense and tangled this tree was. However, not only did they crush the job in a single day, but they did it without at all affecting any of the cables that were ensnarled in the branches, and they also cleaned up the entire yard. I am beyond impressed, and so grateful, especially because Dale did this work at such a fair price.

Long story short, today I learned that if you have a hairy, delicate, hopeless tree situation and need a couple of friendly, competent professionals to help you out, this is the business to call. Thank you so much, Dale and Vern!

I've used Silent Rock multiple times for general tree care, trimming, removal and re-planting. Dale is incredibly knowledgeable about tree health, in part because he genuinely cares about trees and their importance to our local environment. He also happens to be my neighbor and has knocked on my door before to let me know he was worried about the health of one of my trees (he was right, it was diseased and had to come down), in addition to using his gear to rescue my cat from the top of a very tall tree once, all on his own dime! I called Dale after waking up on a Saturday morning to downed trees from a stormy night. He not only talked to me right away, he offered to come over and take a look. By the time other places were just returning my call he had already provided a bid and gone above and beyond to share his guidance on the best solution. The next week he got my project taken care of. Throughout the whole process he was exceptionally helpful and also just fun to talk to. I couldn't recommend him more.

Dale was very knowledgeable (certified arborist) and very easy to work with from start to finish… he gave a very competitive bid and told me exactly what his plan was and then executed it flawlessly! I highly recommend! As an added bonus a lot of his saws are either hydraulic or electric so the first half of the job was extremely quiet, which is not what you expect when have tree work done!

After evaluating multiple services, I elected to go with Dale and his team. Their pricing was competitive but what impressed me was Dale’s knowledge and in depth discussion/analysis of what would be feasible for tree health. Many others would just simply do what was asked, Dale took the time to go through what options were and what would be best from a longevity standpoint. Two of my neighbors also elected to use SRTS and were very pleased with the work.
