We have been using this company for the past nine years, since we bought the house with the wood burning fireplace. This is the best company. Denis came in today to clean and do an inspection on our wood-burning fireplace. Absolutely awesome company. Highly recommend.

American Chimney and Masonry rehabbed my chimney and fireplace 2 years ago and I have been using them for routine maintenance and sweeping ever since.

Every employee I’ve interacted with has been great, knowledgeable and kind. One of their technicians, Jesus, was the first to come troubleshoot what was wrong with my chimney and has been returning to inspect and sweep ever since. He is the best technician/contractor I have ever worked with. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and detail oriented with his inspections, but most importantly he’s just a good dude. Had empathy for the big dollar amount the initial rehab was going to cost. He gave me a bid that would bring my fireplaces back to working order, without going overboard like some other bids I received. He took the time to thoroughly explain the work to be done and always made himself available if I had any questions or concerns along the way.

Now when he comes to inspect and sweep, he always gives tips on how to better maintain my chimney and never oversells. He has sent out a tech to seal a little crack that was showing in the crown without hesitation and all of it effortless. He is concise about what to look for, in regards too overall chimney health and generous with his time.

The brief interactions I’ve had with other American Chimney employees mirror the ones I’ve had with Jesus. Masonry work is expensive and you want to feel assured that you are working with a good company and there is no doubt that American Chimney and Masonry checks all the boxes.

Dan was great and did a thorough job inspecting and cleaning my chimney. I will definitely be hiring them for all future chimney service.

We were delighted with this service. Dan from American Chimney & Masonry arrived on time, having called a half hour ahead to tell us he was on the way. Before the inspection, he asked my wife and I about the issues that we had with our chimney and fireplace. When he made his inspection, he made a number of suggestions that were very helpful and that wouldn't cost us anything. The in-depth report that we asked for cost $199 and was worth every penny. It included pictures of the masonry, the inside of the chimney at every stage all the way down to the fireplace. Definitely would do business again with this company. Very professional.

Only had a fireplace inspection so far but Jesus was great. Took his time explaining everything clearly and gave me a couple different options to go forward with. No pressure sale but gave me honest feedback about some safety issues which I appreciated. My neighbor referred me to American Chimney and I’ll be doing the same.

Dan was very thorough and took pictures to show us the inside. Didn't charge any extra than the base amount and it was a very good experience compared to the previous chimney company we used.

My new fireplace insert woodstove looks and works great! Really efficient. The staff and installers were very friendly and professional. Dennis did a great job of installation. When it turned out that my fireplace was unusually tall so the stove's factory trim didn't completely cover it, they returned to create a custom trim plate that looks great.

We had American Chimney do some tuckpointing repair for us. The joints were pretty soft and rotten in about half of the chimney. Apparently painting your chimney exterior is not a good idea - who knew?
Grafton did a fantastic job. He ground out the old stuff, worked under our deck for a portion of it, and even did as much repair as possible where the deck joists are framed around the chimney. Hard worker, super nice guy, and always respectful of our house. The work looks great!
We've worked with American Chimney in the past and would recommend them to anyone!

Update: We also had a separate pre-existing issue where the damper chain had broke at the handle and disappeared back into the chimney... Dennis came out and did his magic! We have a fully functional fireplace for fun fall festivities!

Dan called in the morning to confirm the appointment at 10, arrived on time and explained the process. He notified me when the job was done, and showed me pictures of everything, followed by sending me an email. American did a chimney repair and installed my flue and insert in 2023. The inspection showed an issue on the roof. They will call and schedule an appointment for repair, with no additional charges. I have consistently had good experiences with this company.

Jesus was amazing. He went above and beyond explaining what he was doing, to include reviewing our folder of previous work done on the chimney and fireplace. He provided outstanding service. We highly recommend American Chimney and Masonry.

I had a great experience with Josh! He arrived within minutes of the starting time of a 2-hour arrival window (which surprised the heck out of me!), was both friendly and professional, and cleaned and inspected my deeply neglected chimney in rapid order. My house had been empty for a long time before I bought the place, and the chimney and fireplace alike clearly hadn't been tended before it went on the market, so he had a LOT to deal with, but he was unfazed by the scope of the job. I'd forgotten to mention I wanted to get a quote for a chimney cap - and the fact that my house is 3 stories tall with a crazy pitch! - when I made the appointment, so I'll have to make another one for that part because climbing my roof requires specialized equipment. I hope Josh is on duty that day, as he clearly knows what he's about and did a fantastic job!

Dan arrived on time and did a great job. He was very honest about the condition of our chimney and I did not feel like he was trying to sell us any unnecessary services. Will use them again in the future!

Got an inspection from Shawn on our Wood Fire Stove. He was very helpful and friendly as we got several quotes on fixes we would potentially need, or if we potentially remove the stove from our home that we purchased last year. Would recommend these professionals!
