Brandon is just the best. Not only does he do great work and is a pleasure to work with, he's also honest and fair.

We had him come out for a chimney sweep after doing great work for us the year prior. He came out same day, took one look at the chimney, and said a cleaning wasn't necessary, no charge. Solid dude as always.

Brandon came out to do a chimney inspection and sweep and was so knowledgeable! He did a fantastic job and provided us great recommendations for how to use and maintain our fireplace. We're excited to work again with him in the future!

I've worked with Brandon twice across a three year span and he's always been a pleasure to work with. The quality of his work is outstanding, he takes wonderful before and after photos so you get a good sense of what's going on and what he did to fix it, he never tries to unnecessarily upsell you, and he sincerely feels like a "safe" person - a rare thing when it comes to service providers. I will always trust Brandon with any chimney work I need, and I will always refer him to anyone I know.

We used Brandon and team to fix our very poorly chimney before we converted to gas and they did such an amazing job! They truly went above and beyond by even fixing some of the mortar on the brick surrounding our front door. I can tell Brandon runs an honest business and he is such a friendly and down to earth guy. We recently had our 73-year-old chimney cleaned and repaired by Brandon and his team from A Better Chimney and are very happy with how it turned out. The mortar was crumbling – chunks were actually falling into our backyard - and the whole structure was showing its age. We really needed to get it fixed as soon as possible.

We got 3 other estimates, and all of them gave us no other options except to tear the whole thing down and rebuild - something we did not have the budget for. Brandon carefully explained how he would go about repairing the chimney and that rebuilding it was NOT the only option.

Brandon and his crew handled everything smoothly and finished the job in two days. They also cleaned up the lime stains on the outer brick; something the other companies told us couldn't be done and that we'd just have to live with it.

As promised, Brandon came back a month later to seal the chimney, ensuring everything was perfect. The quality of his work is fantastic, the price was fair, and he communicated with us throughout the whole process. He's also a really friendly and interesting person!

Brandon was punctual, reasonably priced, knowledgeable, professional, fast, and clean. "Checked all the boxes" I believe is the phrase I'm looking for. I liked that he toggled down our cleaning to a minimal "inspection" price, since there wasn't enough buildup to warrant a cleaning. His encyclopedic knowledge of all things chimney related was on full display, so I felt like I was in good hands. Will have him on speed dial for any future chimney needs, and can fully recommend!

This company was excellent from start to finish. They called ahead to confirm, showed up on time, and were very respectful of my home. They laid down mats, wore shoe covers, and cleaned up after themselves. The ducts hadn’t been cleaned in 15 years, so it was overdue. I can already feel a difference in the air quality.

This is not a review of this company, but a complaint about my review, from Elijah, The employee that preformed the work at my house. Isn't it odd that an employee would post a 5 star review, That is not a review. Don't trust positive reviews you see on this company. Then there are the false and/or misleading statements. The 40 min drive from Salem according to call I received at 2:33, turned into about 2 hours before Elijah arrived at my house. He spent less than 4 hours on the job including inspection and estimate. Then collected payment and left. Only to return about in hour later unexpected and uninvited, seemingly just to convince us to change our review. His own time stamped photos and my call logs confirm these statements.
I am 70 years old and have never posted a review or anything on any kind of social media before. I only did this one because Elijah pressured me into it before I had even paid or had time to think about . I reluctantly agreed and even though he pushed for a five-star I gave a four-star with one negative comment, the extreme high cost. I paid for the service and he left only to return a couple of hours later saying his boss told him to get me to take the review down or change it to a five-star without negative comments. I only agreed to remove it. KUSince I was new to reviews I didn't know how to do this and ask for his assistance. He offered to do it for me so foolishly I handed him my phone and he did it for me and handed the phone back. I was too trusting and did not check his work. A day or two later after thinking about the matter and finding other problems with the service I went back to the reviews to edit it to a more thoughtful one only to discover that he had changed my review to five stars and changed my comments instead of removing the review as I had agreed to. All of this leads me to question the Integrity of all the other positive reviews and of this company. And now for all the other problems I had with the service.
First as mentioned there is the matter of the cost. He wrote up a variety of options and the cost associated with each and I chose what I believed was a rain cap and liner cleaning together for $485 Even this at first seemed steep, as a previous cleaning I got from another company a few months earlier was $250, but it seemed he was going to do a more thorough job and to be honest he did. So $485 dollars seemed fair enough. When I got the bill it was for $1,572.17!! Then there are the damages done to my stove. For better access to the rear of the stove he removed one bolt to swing the warming tray toward the front of the stove, instead of Simply removing just one more bolt to remove it completely. During the process of moving around the area and or the vibration from the cleaning the paint at the corner of the stove got chipped(pictures included). Then there's the matter of the pulled out damper gasket. He told me it was just in there loose but after having the stove dealer out to repair it and learning where it was located noting the condition of the loose gasket (no soot from burning fires even though the horizontal pipe from the back of the stove was full of soot) I realized that it had to have been pulled out by the high-speed rotating brush he used for cleaning. The stove dealer informed me that due to these damages I am entitled to a new stove installed at the expense of forest fresh Home Services which is about $7,000. They offered to help me with this process. This is an Avenue I intend to explore.

Outstanding communication and professionalism. Very knowledge inspectors and installer. They recommended a good solution for the broken glass on our fireplace that could resolved within a few days. Highly recommend.

David and Benjamin arrived right on time. They immediately established a personal connection with me and listened to what I had been experiencing in my house. They investigated my air duct system, my heating and cooling system, and then they showed me pictures of my system. The pictures were incredibly gross, and my house is less than 10 years old. However, I can believe my system was as dirty as it was because my allergies had gotten so much worse since moving into my current house. After explaining how my air conditioning/heating unit pushes air through my house, David and Benjamin performed a deep cleaning of my air duct system, including my air conditioning/heating unit, and now my air duct system is like new. My house smells amazing. After today’s experience, I am going to stick with my maintenance cleanings so that I don’t have to start completely over with the deep cleaning. David and Benjamin, thank you for first listening to me; explaining to me about how my system works; for performing your job so expertly well and for being so kind and professional. You two are amazing and the job you did in my house was phenomenal. I highly recommend David and Benjamin.

Issac with Forest Fresh was amazing! He was careful to explain the additional services they could recommend outside of the basic promotional special they offered. In the end, we went with many of his recommendations and we are very satisfied!

I found Forest Fresh through a Facebook ad doing a duct cleaning promo. I had been researching companies for about a month and after looking into their website, I felt it was legitimate and reputable. I am so grateful for their service and especially their technician Ben who went above and beyond to help me make a sound decision in making our home safe and clean from years of neglect. It’s not a fun expense when buying a new home but it is necessary and Ben was great about not pressuring me into making a hasty decision but providing me with all the information that I needed to make our home ready for our new baby. After having some difficulties with no air flow, David and Ben came back on a Sunday to trouble shoot. They found the issue, dryer sheet stuck and and ton of lint behind it. The crew was awesome and they were on time and on point! They were extremely respectful and did everything we needed, including walking on water. Thank you and when I need service again, I will be calling you!
