Upgraded the breaker box and did some work in my parents 1960s home a couple years ago. Everything went smoothly and the tech was great. I have also worked with them at work and every time they do a clean professional job without cutting corners. They are there with a smile when you need and sometimes that means odd hours or the weekend. Will continue to use them in the future.

Love these guys! Thanks to Travis, Zane and the entire low voltage crew for keeping our storage unit alarms in great condition — we could not operate our self storage property as a 24/7 facility without our alarms! 🙌 Highly recommend and will continue to rely on them anytime we need service.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was overcharged and ripped off. DO NOT USE THEM. I called and asked for an estimate to have an electric car charger installed adjacent to my circuit breaker box. I was told it would take a single electrician less than two hours and that the GE circuit breakers and parts are standard equipment on their trucks. The invoice I received was more than double the estimate I was given. I was charged for two electricians (one was an apprentice) for three hours work, when they were in my garage less than 90 minutes. I called the office and asked about the invoice and was told I had to pay for their apprentice and that it took 90 minutes for them to gather parts and drive to my house. I feel completely ripped off and would not recommend Northside Electric due to their shady business practices. DO NOT USE THEM.

UPDATED REVIEW: After giving Northside a one star review and sending a certified letter, as required by the Construction Contractors Board (CCB) prior to filing a formal complaint with the CCB, I was contacted by Northside. They agreed that I was overcharged and reduced the bill to about 10% over the original estimate. I still feel like I was overcharged. I also think their billing practices are deceptive, so look at your invoice closely, verify the labor is accurate and buyer beware. I will not use Northside again, nor will I recommend them to friends or family, or anyone reading this review. But I do appreciate they were willing to reduce the bill (but only AFTER I COMPLAINED). So, I raised my original one star review to two stars as requested by Northside.

I purchased a new construction home that was wired by Northside Electric. I had a small wiring issue and the builder provided me with the contact info for Beau Bacheller at Northside. I called and spoke with him and he was happy to stop by and correct the issue. It turned out to be a wiring mistake that I myself had made, it wasn't even warranty work. The company still fixed for me free of charge. Polite, professional, and obviously willing to work hard for their customers. I highly recommend Northside Electric.

We had this company come out and install RV plugs onto the side of the garage for us. The information that I provided them initially was incorrect but they adapted to the new conditions without a hiccup.

The technician, Alex, was professional, courteous and made no attempt to game the cost/time and made choices and recommendations that helped us keep the project on budget rather than just carelessly run up the meter. I really appreciated that and this will be the only electrician business we contact for all future work as a result.

They definitely earned a loyal customer today.

We have used Northside for all our electrical work since moving in to our current home a few years ago. They have done a great job adding lighting, fixing strange wiring with plugs, switches etc on our 50 year old home. We had our panel updated last summer and were please with the results. They were also contracted by the heating/cooling company to install the electric for our AC unit. We often have the same technicians, which is great as they become familiar with the home, us and have knowledge of their previous work. I always recommend them for electrical needs.

Was in a crunch on the sale of my home to meet a deadline for some electrical repair issues. Called an outfit that I was happy with in the past, but they didn't return my call. Got Northside's contact info from Angie's List. They were amazing. Got somebody out that day for an estimate. Very competent, very efficient. Estimate was very reasonable. The electrician was sent the next day. He was equally competent and efficient. He even did some work that I intended to do myself. He saved me so much time and grief. He was in and out in an hour or so. Price was great. They are first on my list now.

The register was declining my card and one of your employees payed for my breakfast at the EZ Trip truckstop. I promise to pay it forward and thank you.

Our experience with Northside Electric was VERY positive. Mac was extremely helpful, diligent and efficient, and most importantly, very transparent about what he was doing and why. He always checked in with us about our preferences for the job, navigated the "grey" areas of the work with ease, identified future trouble spots and overall gave us the service we needed to choose Northside in the future for our electrical wiring needs at this house.

UPDATED 2 JAN. 2023:
I had to update after a recent glitch with a dryer delivery from a major store. NE came out within a few hours and not only fixed the outlet problem but installed the dryer as well, saving me a wait of nearly a week for a return trip from the delivery/installers--all on the Friday before a long holiday weekend. Thank you!;)

Northside came out a couple years back and wired my house up for a 220V outlet in the garage for my EV charging. The outlet worked 98% of the time. I was pretty happy. I called them a couple years later (aka this week) and they came out and fixed it so that it works all the time now. Very impressed how they stand by their work.

We just had Evan in our home for a day doing a few projects. We have not had a more pleasant and knowledgable person in our home working for a long time. I would ask specifically for him again. Totally satisfied.

We were having some major electric issues that were pretty scary, they had someone dispatched to my home in less than 2 hours, the electrician spent 4+ hours at my home and got the issue fixed. The electrician was extremely knowledgeable and fixed an uncommon issue that a different electrical company couldn't figure out. Thank you Brayden for your patience, taking the time to reassure me along the way and for actually taking the time to figure out and fix the problem.

Very professional and reasonable price. I had an electrician came today from Roth Heating and Cooling to install a smart switch and quoted me $420. It is way too much and I paid $92 for diagnostic and trip fee which I agreed when I made the appointment. Then I called this company and they squeezed me in this afternoon. The new switch works great. The electrician finished the work within 20 mins. We use their services in the future definitely.

Overpriced - Electrician took way longer to complete the job than it should have. For almost $150/hour electricians should be incredibly efficient.

Had a panel replacement. Great, honest people and I am very pleased with the quality of work and materials I received. The electrician was very helpful and even answered my dumb, new homeowner questions. From the bid to the invoice, nothing but a great experience.

Everyone here from scheduler to estimator to electrician doing the job is fantastic! I am very pleased with the excellent work that was put forth to complete my project. I needed an upgrade to my outlet for the wall microwave and Alex worked diligently to make it happen. I am very appreciative of being able to get an estimate, get on the schedule, and have the work completed in a highly reasonable amount of time. I recommend this company to anyone needing work done. The crews came out three times after I had a fire from a bathroom heater ceiling fan.
I already had them scheduled to look at some breakers for the furnace but Polk County Fire Marshal asked that they come inspect the melted wiring and breaker box!
It was determined a new fuse box needed to be installed and basically I was told we got you and they came in to finish the job that day to assure my disabled son and I had heat!
The crew was wonderful and worked well together and very diligent in their work. Safety was apparent as conscious of the house and property
Finances are available thank goodness Since I am single.
I believe I would give ten stars and will always be dropping their company name every opportunity I can.

Northside Electric assisted with a recent remodel of our home and has been a pleasure to work with. In addition to several smaller projects (of which there are many on a 70-year old house), they completely re-wired an older addition to the house, the kitchen and both bathrooms. At every step of the way, all aspects of their work was stellar and every one who touched the project was professional, thoughtful, and courteous. I highly recommend Northside Electric!
