We had them come out and give us a bid for some work and add a electrical plug, which there was a plug just on the other side of the wall and they charged $855 for a quick job and sent 2 guys out to do it. Never got my estimate for the work I really needed done. Pretty much scammed us and took advantage of the time they spent looking at my estimate for the work as billable hours to do the minor job. Wouldn’t recommend them unless you want to be scammed. Also took two weeks to get out there, with lots of promises.

I had an issue with my wifi on a Generac generator and Northside sent out Mac to take a look. Mac found a defective front seal that would have caused a lot of damage to my brand new generator. He replaced it and ensured my wifi is good to go. Most of all, Mac is one of the most entertaining and honest guys I've ever met. It was a pleasure meeting him and listening to some of his stories. I will call Northside again for service if they send Mac out!

Requested to replace an old light fixture with new light fixture that I provided and rewire as needed, requested senior electrician. Was sent someone who had been with them for 2 weeks. His truck not supplied with what was needed. He put in the light off center didn’t use hanger bar and I was charged twice as much for the electrical box as I could have if I bought it at Lowe’s. Went and bought hanger bar to do the work myself. When I went to pay the bill, they couldn’t give me an estimate of what my bill was going to be. I waited 2 weeks for a bill. Next time, I’ll do it myself and spin 3 wires and save the $130 and take my wife out for a nice dinner.

We are moving to the mid west after 25 years in the same house. I spent 11 months working all trades to prepare to sell. Electrician is my weak spot so Kevin from Northside Electric came out and checked all area's I had worked in and inspected and corrected where needed and really educated me with good communication and an inclusiveness style. I had a laundry list of check offs and he completed it smoothy. I avoided calling because I feared the cost but they shocked me with a very reasonable rate for half of Kevin's day. Thank you it has been a pleasure.

We had an emergency situation where we needed an electrician immediately. We reached out to a couple places and lucky for us Northside Electric answered their phone. They were able to get out and fix our issue same day with zero issues for the price that was quoted. And that price was very fair. The technician they sent was on time, polite, and had no problem finding and fixing the issue. I absolutely would recommend them to anyone. One of the best contractor experiences we've ever had!

I hired Northside to do a few electrical projects at my new house. Keaton did a great job, was nice to work with and answered all my questions. He got the work done in a timely manner. I will have them back to do more projects.

We use Northside Electric for all of our lighting and electrical needs here at Valley Credit Union in Salem. We highly recommend them! They do great work, they are honest and everyone that comes out is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Showed up on time, did the work we had requested. I felt very heard, which a lot of the companies I’ve dealt with this week have talked down to me and interrupted me, our technician was polite and educated. The work was completed and I feel he went above and beyond to ease my worries and fix my problems! This place is well worth the money and I won’t be going anywhere else.

I wanted to thank Ian for a great job! He knows his stuff. He was willing to work with a type of fan that he had not installed before, and he did it with ease. In the same room he installed new LED lighting to add overhead light in our waiting room. Ian also installed new LED lights in our "cold storage" rooms, which was desperately needed and we are grateful for.

I wanted to have an outside RV outlet installed closer to where my RV plug is located. Ian Mobley was cost conscientious, and asked if we wanted to dig the ditch or have him do it. The RV outlet is perfectly located, and he did a fine job with the finish work. While he was there, I had him install a security light over the garage. This thing lights up the driveway -- I love it! Thank you.

Then they sent a very knowledgeable and professional electrician named Britton.
He not only did what was asked of him, but went beyond and added a different receptacle, which was highly recommended and better suited for this particular location.

I had to have my electric box checked out. The service provided was great, I didn’t catch the electricians name who came out but he provided great service and was funny and professional. If I need more electric work done, I will back!

We had Northside out for an EV charger install which included some panel work as well. Ryan was quick to respond and be on site due to a tricky location of the panel and charger. After figuring out the plan Northside was quick and easy to schedule and TJ, our electrician, arrived on time and quickly got to work.
I can't recommend Northside Electric enough and TJ was great to work with. Top quality work!

I had these guys come out in March to help install a gfci outlet I was having trouble with. We had attempted to do it ourselves but just couldn't figure it out. The guy was here and all he had to do was swap 2 wires and screw the outlet plate on the wall. Literally was here 18 minutes which can be proven by the footage on my surveillance camera, which means he probably did less than 15 minutes worth of work. A few weeks later I get a bill for $140!!!!

I called about it thinking it was some kind of mistake and got some lame explanation about how they charge from the time the electrician leaves wherever they are at to go to the jobsite. That I have to pay for a full hour even though I did most of the work, supplied my own parts and it took less than 20 minutes.

I honestly forgot to pay the bill and never got another one until about a week ago.

They have the nerve to send me a bill with a big red stamp on it letting me know its past due after not hearing anything from them since March.

This is really disappointing especially since I've done work with Northside electric in the past and until this year never had any problems.

How are you going to charge me for an hour of work when you weren't here an hour, not even half of one. Then go off to the next job and change them by the hour too?

Super unethical, that's called double dipping. Seriously please don't chose this place for your electrical work, I'm sure there are more ethical fairly priced places in salem. Especially in this economy we need to take the unethical greedy places down.

I bet the owner or manager won't even respond to this review either or make any attempt to find my real name and reach out to me. Who knows if they even care about this bad review. They don't care about their customers, so hopefully they start losing them.

I appreciate that Ian was so knowledgeable about his work. He installed an outlet behind my TV, which led me to change up the project- - to open up a hole under my staircase (more storage), which he then installed wafer lights - which look amazing, which led me to another project of installing stair railing lights - which I LOVE. he installed motion detectors so they come on when we approach. it is lovely! I will for sure call Ian again and have him work on future projects. Thanks for your flexibility of my ever changing plans!!
