I had a tree emergency and Elwood gave me an estimate and sent his crew the same day I called. His team are professional, polite and thorough. I am so grateful to have avoided a catastrophe from a falling tree! I highly recommend Elwood and his team and will call them for any jobs I might have in the future.

In mid January 2024 we had a wind storm, causing a huge fir tree to fall on our house. We also had the roots of five other similar firs start to lift, also threatening the house. As the wind persisted, it caused my wife and I to leave the house until the trees were down. Dalton came and professionally surveyed the scene, reassuring us that they could do the job and do it soon. This was going to be a very difficult and technical tree removal due to the tree placement. Not a problem. A couple days later (very quickly) Dalton, Shane, Devin, Ian and Ryan came out and took care of all 6 trees. Each person was a joy to work with. They were professional, quick and courteous. I recommended Elwood's to three other neighbors, who also hired them to do their problem trees. Their jobs have just finished but as far as I know, they were just as impressed as I was with them. Good Job guys! THANKS!

I had 8 Birch Trees trimmed and 2 removed. The crew was here much of the day. They were hardworking, professional, neat and answered all my questions. I would recommend Ellwood and plan to use them on an annual basis.

A young man named Dalton came out to look at our tree and give us an estimate. He was beyond his years with expierience and knowledge. Dalton was very polite, respectful and professional.

We ended up having Elwood's do our work, and I am so pleased that we did.

The men they sent out knew exactly what Dalton and I had agreed should be done and they got right to work.

We were very pleased with the pruning, weight reduction and cable securement system they placed on our larger trunks that gave us worry on windy nights.
When they were done my yard looked better than before they arrived, they left no trace that they were there exciept a happier tree and wife. The work crew were every much as respectful as Dalton was, tgey made sure to come and ask us to come look at their work and ask if we were satisfied with how they left things, we were.
Two of my sons have each used Elwood's for tree work, They refered Elwood's to me, now I am refering them to you.
It reminds me of when a handshake and agreement between a bussiness and customer meant everything. Randy.

Joseph and Dyran did a great job thinning out the deadwood from our fir trees. We appreciated the care they took to not drop big limbs from way up high, but to set up a zip line to bring them down safely (which was also fun to watch). Thanks guys! Nicely done.

Elwoods is my go to company for tree care, tree removal and stump grinding. Today Joseph removed a stump from a tree that Elwoods cut down, he was quick and knowledgeable. Friendly company that tries!

Excellent service! It started with Dalton, who is extremely knowledgeable, looking at all of our trees and giving us a very good bid and explaining what needed to be done.
Next we had the pleasure of having Shane and Joseph come out and cut and trim our trees! Fantastic job! Highly recommend this company.

I called Elwoods because they are who my mom uses and she has been very pleased with them. I tried to get them to come out here after the ice storm, but unfortunately everybody was so darn busy.

Anyway, Dalton is great. He's a great resource for everything trees. The crew came over and did exactly what I asked them to do. They did a great job and they were very pleasant to work with.

After a giant cluster with another tree company, I'm happy to say that Elwoods exceeded my expectations! 😀👍🏻

If I could give Elwood and his crew more than 5 stars, I would, but alas, i can not. My boss has used Elwood as their Arborist for Decades, not exactly sure for how long, but probably longer than I have been alive(a Stately level of House). While his services are a little more expensive than i would normally go for; it comes with the fact that they are highly insured and the quality of their work. Had his crew come out and prune my 100'+ birch tree and I don't have to worry about the willowed branches falling in my yard everyday for a while.

If you’re looking for a tree service company whose priority is the health and beauty of your established trees, Elwood’s should be your first call! We have a beautiful, big, very old shade tree that provides wonderful dappled shade over half of our backyard. At least twice now, PGE has come in and ‘pruned’ it back heartlessly, causing sun scald to one side of the trunk. We were very concerned for the life of the tree so had Elwood’s come in and evaluate it. They were able to explain what had caused the damage, beautifully pruned portions that had died, and left us with a refreshed and lovely tree. We wouldn’t consider using any other service. They are the very best!

Truly experts! For 30 years we've relied on their true arborist skills & wisdom; they've always done a fabulous job! I've never seen a crew work harder, or more efficiently.
They even trimmed up our palm trees (a bit of a rarity in Salem)

We've used Elwood's several times since moving to Salem. Carlos and Laura were so professional and friendly. We had a maple tree in our backyard that was hanging too low over our house. They raised it, repaired some previous poor trimming and also pruned up a Southern Magnolia we had next to the tree. The cleanup was amazing and they were so careful of our other shrubs and plants. I highly recommend this company. We have never had a bad experience with any of their staff. They are very attentive and easy to be around. Thank you so much! We'll see you in another 2 years.

My company hired Elwood's Tree Service to clear brush and blackberries on about 5 acres of land on our project, as well as a tree health inventory on a grove of Oregon White Oaks. Elwood was fantastic to work with, accommodating our frequent schedule changes, and providing advice on working around the oaks while complying with preservation requirements. Our field crews were very satisfied with the quality of clearing, and we look forward to working with this company in the future!

I think 5 star reviews should truly be for great services. And Elwood’s rates 5 stars. We’ve had Elwood and team take care of our trees for many years and the entire crew consistently takes great professional care of our trees, helps educate about current or future issues, and they’re just darn nice to work with. It is clear Elwood takes crew safety seriously every time. Won’t hesitate to continue working with them in the future or recommend as an caring employer.

Joseph and Ethan removed a very tall sweetgum tree, with branches covering my power line. They were respectful, professional and They did a fantastic job. I was impressed by their attention to the delicate trimming around the power line and then later they did a fantastic job of cleaning up all the wood chip debris from my property and from the street. When Joseph and Ethan first arrived at our home, I thought, “Wow! They seem so young!” But what a wonderful surprise to find that they were both very knowledgeable, professional, kind, and extremely hard working. After removing a very large Birch tree and giving our very large Maple tree a good pruning, our backyard looked like a hurricane/war zone. But after they were completely done, the yard looked better than when they started! We will definitely ask for this “dynamic duo” if we need any future tree services. Joseph and Carlos are masters of their craft! We needed a 38-year-old Douglas fir trimmed to provide more light for our neighbor's rhododendron and our own raised beds. It was a tricky job, trying to keep the large limbs from falling on the plants and structures below, but Joseph and Carlos masterfully guided them away and protected everything. The result was an even canopy with lots of light below it. And they cleaned up the lawn and driveway so there wasn't a trace that they'd been here. These guys are pros and we'll certainly use them for our next project.

We normally do our own tree trimming but needed some help catching up with projects this year and reached out to Elwood Tree Service after finding their ad in the mail. The initial walk through was very informative and we decided how best we could work together. They cleared the deadwood off the cedars closest to the house as seen in the before and after pictures. Everyone we talked to was very professional and communicated any changes during the process in advance. We'd hire them again and really appreciate that even though our project was small they treated it just as professionally as a big job!
