I am elderly and disabled and I live on a small farm whose owner has used this service for 20 years. I have lived here for 4 years.
I am a plant biologist by education and owned a tree service for 21 years, eight active years in the Willamette Valley under the name Metro Tree Service. When I was active and first starting this service was owned by the Rasmussen's and they were good professional crew and I recommended them at least a hundred times.
In the four years I've been here, I have had minimal conversations with the crew and have been of assistance when asked.
This year they insisted that I leave the property when they spray. Last year when they sprayed they damaged the trees to the point where the leaves lost color and the nuts and fruits did not produce like they should.
I have a feeling they did this to the trees on purpose due to some interaction with the crew earlier this year they felt was undo. This put the responsibility of the damaged orchard on my hands to the uneducated landlord. She is under the impression it was something I did.
My interaction with the crew early in spring was as follows.
They had a new member on the crew. There were two sprayers, one who has appeared for the last 4 years as being the crew leader. He was concerned about the wind carrying the poison so the crew he tested the wind and positioned himself so the wind would carry the poison away safely. The newer member randomly shot the poison in the air and said, "Oops", with a laugh as it floated over the new organic strawberry patch I had installed previously in the fall. I said something about that, pointing out the patch of strawberries, and the member laughed at me and said something using words and language that told me he probably didn't even graduate from high school. I called the owners and pointed out what happened and the lack of care. The woman owner who answered blasted me with unkind words, knowing I'm not the owner of the property, and told me I was in the wrong for saying anything.
I received so much bad interaction from my uneducated landlord this year regarding the trees, laying the blame at my feet for the lack of production.
This season, the spray service said they would not do the job if I was on the property.
I am elderly and disabled and they sent me off the property with nowhere to go in sub 40° weather.
Of course we can blame the landlord, but she is elderly as well and not totally cognitive, and they pressurized her unduly and unprofessionally.
I would not recommend this tree service to anyone.
They advertise as being here for decades but their name is not on the title of the business and they purchased the business intact from the former owner.
Don't use this service. They damaged the trees this year and illegally kicked me off the property for several hours in Sub forty degree weather with nowhere to go. They are inhumane and do not respect the elderly or disabled. They do not take constructive criticism and apparently do not know their job when they damaged the trees. I have to come to a conclusion that they did this on purpose to cause me discomfort. The reasons I have is because the trees didn't produce this year and they were at fault. To add insult to injury, they made my absence prerequisite of spraying the trees. I have had enough discussion with their lead member for him to know that I'm a plant biologist and would figure out the damage, and know they were responsible.
These people are unprofessional and irresponsible an unaccountable when confronted.

Amazing service. I had aphids on my tulip tree and they were dripping when I parked my car underneath them. They came out and treated my tree with a systemic. Now it looks very healthy and doesn’t drip anymore. Highly knowledgeable team. Very happy!

I had an appointment with them on 5/11/2019 at 9:30 at my rental house (25 minutes one way driving from my house), the person didnt show up. I called them at 9:37 and they told me they would call me asap and let me know what happened. I waited 20 minutes, and nobody called me, so I called again. The office told me that person would not show up, so I left. At 10:45, the person called me and told me he would be my rental house in 10 minutes. I was busy and told that person I would call back. I called back couple minutes later but it went to office again. They told me the person was in the same neighborhood and he could go to my rental house later, and he would call me asap. Guess what? I waited 30 minutes and nobody called me. You will waste your time if you want them work for your house. I don't know why this company still running their business in Portland area. They should be out of business.

Greenway Scapes was a great price, completed the work quickly and we’re great to work with. I wanted a simple landscape installation for new construction and they provided exactly what I needed.

For 4 years I used to think these people were awesome.They would send a crew of 2 or 3 men to maintain my 1.5 acre yard. They worked fast and could get the job done in 2 hours.
Now they only send one nice older man.
I'm so very disappointed now, They never get the job done in one visit. He only can do a portion of my hard. Poor man drove up today in an old little car and only has one rake and one edger. He said his edger does't work. Normally comes on Thursday's, showed up late today( 4:15) He can't haul the debris in his car. I'm so tired of having to call and complain. I used to refer people to them all the time, sadly not anymore.
I hope what ever is going on with them that they fix the problem.

I was so impressed with how responsive Greenway was to my request for a bid. They were here within two days to do an estimate and gave me the estimate right then. They also sent out a crew to do the initial clean up the day after I signed up.

Mike and his crew have never disappointed. After several larger projects, they are always professional, fast and priced reasonably. Don’t hesitate to call these guys for your landscaping needs!

These guys reliably show up when they are scheduled and get the job done. They're efficient, and are very good at cleaning up after their work is done. The only evidence they've been there is a much nicer looking landscape! We've used Greenway Scapes for lawn mowing, bush and tree trimming, and new bush and tree plantings and haven't been disappointed.

This company has my utmost respect and admiration! They came in and asked what we saw in our back yard and designed something that was my dream backyard oasis. 5 days people from start to finish. From a yard of weeds to my dream back yard!! Crazy talented and very respectful of neighbors too! Awesome experience!!!!

Mike and his team did an amazing job. In just one day they cleared and landscaped my backyard. They were friendly and professional. I love it

They were amazing. My estimate said 1 to 2 weeks to start they came the day after my estimate and completed my yard in 2 days. Super quick and very kind and clean up everything. 100% reccomend.

I call to schedule an appointment for installing/repairing existing sprinkler system at my house. The man answering the phone was very unfriendly and unprofessional. He did not take the time to listen. All he wanted to tell me was that it would cost me $85 US dollars for him to inspect the existing system even though I told him I wanted new sprinklers as well as repairing the old ones. In the advertisement of the company, it says free estimate. Even if I have to pay more for someone else to do the job, I WILL NOT like to do business with this company.

This company keeps sending me Invoice over and over again for work they have never done. No one showed up to give me an estimate or do any kind of work. I have contacted them several times per email and phone.and asked them to void and remove this invoice, no action from their side! Now my lawyer is take action against this company. They have caused me a lot of stress. I would recommend that you do not hire this company. There has to be an honest company out there. Greenway Spaces isn't one of them

My wife and I are increasingly troubled by physical infirmities so we got quotes for three different jobs to be done on our 1.5 acre country spread. The types of outdoor jobs around the property that we find very difficult these days.
First, a one-time Spring Clean-up. A good quote price, which we agreed to. A GREENWAY SCAPES team showed up with nice looking trucks filled with all the gear, machines and tools they would ever need. The men started at one end and worked their way around the place mowing, pruning, trimming, weeding, and sprucing everything up. What a difference! It would have taken us forever to do this, their team got a long list of clean-ups done in about 6 hours.
Second, a brick and stone landscaping job. Also a quoted price attractive to us. A delivery of gravel, bricks and stone one evening was followed by another GREENWAY SCAPES team showing up for a job thought to take close to a week. They built us a paver-stone porch with steps and flowerbed areas. We have been highly impressed by their careful removal of old features and design, layout and skill building this new feature. It's just what we wanted and awesome. The team was finished in 3 1/2 days.
Third, a weekly or as-needed lawn and grounds maintenance job. Once again, a price quote we found very attractive. The maintenance team visited us for the first time last Friday and buzzed through their jobs efficiently and left everything looking nice.

Greenway Scapes, LLC was very easy to work with. Mike Perez gave me a quote on the same day he reviewed my front lawn project. His follow up was also good. All the workers on the job were highly skilled and easy to communicate with. Without any drawings or plans, my front yard was completely redone. New sprinkling system, gravel path from main house entrance to a side gate, adding a small retaining wall between the front of the house and front flower bed, paver stone border added around flower beds sidewalks and driveway, and new grass sod. My front yard looks great! I would recommend Greenway Scapes, LLC for any landscaping work.

Just performed a mid size home project with Greenway. The product is better than expected for a fair price. They started earlier than expected and finished on time. Mike is very knowledgeable and honest in his work. This is the 2nd time I’ve used Greenway and will continue to do so when needed.

The estimate for the work I needed done was straight forward and understandable. I wanted a full front and backyard cleanup with a gravel refresh in part of the backyard. I approved the estimate and Greenway completed the job the next day. I am totally pleased with the end result and prompt service. No reason to go elsewhere for landscaping.

They did a complete turf replacement and sprinkler update as well as lawn maintenance service for the past year. They were very reasonable on their rates, showed up when they said they would and did a fantastic job with the new sod and sprinkler system. The yard has been maintained very well during the year and has never looked better.

The work Greenway did was fantastic and timely. My lawn and gutters were spotless, clean and the work was done quickly and professionally. I would normally give a 5 star review. However, Greenway claimed to have sent us 2 bills for the work (I am not sure why). We received one bill and paid it in full on time. The second bill Greenway claims they generated never reached us.

3 months later we received one e-mail from Greenway stating we still owed them money. The e-mail had links to the invoice, but none of them worked. The e-mail warned "PAST DUE" as though we had ignored a bill, but did not give us a way to pay the bill. When I called, the person I spoke to seemed confused. I ended up paying the bill simply to disengage from Greenway. I told the person I spoke to that this was unprofessional and I was unhappy as a consumer. The person explained several times that I owed money, but did nothing to tell me why 2 bills were generated, why the website didn't work or why we were billed 3 months after the work.

Should you decide to hire greenway, get a contract with them and make sure you pay on one bill for all services and ask that they call you if there is a billing error. Their way of taking payment is very poor and their customer service was worse.

Our lawn is impeccable! Greenway Scapes took a sloped dirt yard and turned it into a beautiful green fenced space. They built a retaining wall, so we have 30% more space than we anticipated. They worked long hour hours and finished quickly. Their work was very precise too. They built a retaining wall, fences, and added sprinklers and grass. All done perfectly. They deserve our highest recommendations.

Greenway Scapes is our top choice for landscapers. They provide excellent value at reasonable prices. At our construction company, we have worked with Greenway Scapes on more than 7 projects, and we will continue to schedule them on upcoming jobs. Their work is always professional, beautiful, and complements our new homes. We love working with them.
