Greenway Scapes has provided me quality landscaping for 4 projects within the last 2 years. As a builder of new homes, I contract with Greenway to provide full irrigation and landscaping. The crew shows up in full force to get the job done on time and I have been pleased with the attractive plantings and quality of the materials they specify. They are priced well and they run their crews efficiently to get the job done. I hesitate a 5 star review because we did have a scheduled appointment they did not show for. I believe they have their phones through an answering service and though I would prefer a direct number to someone I am familiar with, I think its understandable for a buisness of their size to run their operations this way. Overall I am pleased with my experience with Greenway Scapes and I recommend them.

We have used Greenway to do almost $50,000 worth of major landscaping projects at our very inconveniently located property. Their work has been all but flawless. Any minor mistakes were promptly remedied quickly after we pointed them out, and they completed all of the projects well within the allotted time (early even).

They were absolutely professional and attentive, and they gave us our dream backyard. Mike is extremely knowledgeable, and he helped with the planning process to make sure that what we wanted was both possible and practical. We couldn't have asked for a better company.

So many issues hard to list them all...
Terrible communication - started project when we were out of town without our permission. So we still don't know if the major part of the project (creating drainage for our back lawn) was done correctly, assuming not since it doesn't drain and is now an expensive mud pit. Total fail.

They also removed an old growth bush that was decorative and lined our front yard (without our permission!) to make access to our yard easier. The bush later died. They would not replace it, we had to. It will be 5-10 years before its as large as the others.

We had to call them out multiple times to fix the lines and placement of stepping stones for a path. Not sure what they were using to measure distance and placement, but it wasn't working.

Mike was initially happy to make the adjustments to our stones, but then became very agitated when we told him we were not happy with his measurements (totally off) of our front lawn. He lost his temper with my husband and hung up on him. Then when we requested that they replace the bush that died, he never returned our calls again. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because the patio they did turned out nice.

I moved into a brand new constructed home in Dallas Oregon, and I had nothing but dirt in the back yard. The back yard was uneven and was a mess. I called Greenway Scapes and they responded immediately. The drew up a contract with the specifications that I needed and immediately went to work. Greenway leveled my backyard, placed some rocks where I requested, provided Top soil, and laid sod as per my request. They did a "great job" and I was completely satisfied. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Greenway Scapes.

Greenway Scapes completed another incredible yard project for us. It was the second one we've had them do, and if there is ever another project, we will hire them again. They removed 65 linear feet of tall, old arborvitae trees and built a beautiful new fence and yard in their place. They delayed the project by a week because some of the materials weren't available and they didn't want to leave us exposed for an uncertain amount of time. That is not just customer service, it is customer CARE. Mike was in touch with us every step of the way, and he took care of everything, including an irrational neighbor. He checked in constantly and even came back to ensure the sod was thriving. This is a top rate firm, and I highly recommend them!

We have had Greenway Scapes provide several services for us, including yard clean-up and installation of retaining walls, patio, walkways, sprinkler system upgrades, new lawn, and plants. They provided plans for the walls, patios, and walkways. They addressed our specific desires in plant options and design elements. They were timely in proposals and responses to our inquiries during the installation period.

The installers were friendly, efficient, and worked hard in very hot weather conditions. They protected our fences as they removed and reinstalled sections as the work progressed. They cleaned up the site completely and the products delivered were those contracted for. In fact, they added additional bark mulch outside of the contracted work at the end of the project.

We are very happy with the results and recommend Greenway Scapes.

We had a new home built and chose to use Greenway per other neighbors' recommendation. We are thankful we did; they not only did our pavers outdoor living area, but they did all the landscaping for the new build. The owner listened to all my wishes on what we wanted, and they executed it perfectly. He was so kind and professional and has pride in his work and product. We had to have a few shrubs replaced because they died, and he wasted no time replacing them for free. We also had a few pavers that needed resetting and replacing and once again replaced them for free with no issues at all. He wants you to have a wonderful experience and be happy with his product and his staff which goes beyond to ensure that result. We now use them every week for our yard maintenance as well and are incredibly happy about the whole experience. Highly recommend them to anyone.

We're very pleased that we chose Greenway to do our landscaping. Besides having a quote that was fair, they were here the day after we signed the contract. A large crew came to add soil, level the ground, seed it with grass and put in the irrigation. They did it all in a day and a half with city inspectors signing off on their hookup also. We can't be more pleased with the final outcome. The crew was polite, hard working and professional. We would certainly use them again!

Mike and his Greenway Scapes team did an excellent job with the replacement and installation of my front lawn sod and additional sprinkler heads. Mike listened to my requests and was very responsive to all forms of communication. Email, text and phone calls. When I shared my concerns about some of the negative reviews, they called right away to answer my questions but did not pressure me to make a decision. That gave me the confidence to try them out and I am very glad that I did. The lawn looks terrific and they even came out and adjusted my sprinkler heads and reprogrammed my system to optimize the watering schedule- explaining to me the whole time what needed to be done. The entire job was done from estimate to completion within 30 days.

I am so please with the incredible services from Greenway! This last week I had multiple services- yard clean up, sprinkler system installation, bark dust and started weekly yard maintenance! I am so please will all the work that was done. My yard has been a beast of weeds that was just too big for me to manage. Greenway scheduled the estimate, Mike Perez was on time for appointment, estimates arrived ahead of schedule. Once I determined services & returned signed contracts, they began work ahead of estimated start date. All workers were very polite, asked questions to make sure that everything was done to my liking! The clean up was amazing! I highly recommend their services!

Also- I got the WiFi option for my sprinkler & can set schedules & control zones from my phone- I love it! So user friendly! I really recommend this option if you are looking at a new sprinkler system, you won’t regret it!

Mike came by multiple times during the various projects to monitor to progress and make sure I was happy with the work. I also received phone calls to set up service appointments, the day before a service started to let me know about start times! I was very please with the customer service!

Lastly, value- I found their rates extremely reasonable & competitive with others landscaping companies! I will say though that my mom had work done a couple of years ago with another local company and struggled to get sprinkler system working properly & still needs work done. Both of us were so impressed with the quality & efficiency of Greenways work!

So where to start...We hired Greenway on a recommendation. Initially their service was okay. Then they started skimping on the landscaping and not trimming things and leaving weeds and other things. We called and asked them to do a complete service when they come. After the first month passed we began to notice a decrease in quality. Then today we come home and find a person in our fenced backyard from the City of Salem spray painting markings everywhere saying they were requested by Greenway to mark for a sprinkler system. We never have asked for a sprinkler system. We called the city and they said they were dispatched by Greenway for this locating service. We called Greenway and asked why they would do that without our permission and with no notification. When given the run around we asked to cancel our service and that we were very dissatisfied with the way things had been handled. Instead of apologizing or trying to make things right, the owner of the company, "Mike", called and told us we needed to be "better humans" and that he would put a lien on our property for the remaining bill of $80 dollars and get lawyers involved if we didn't pay. So to sum up, Greenway placed an order from the City of Salem to come onto our property and mark it all up, without any permission or notification, we came home to a stranger in our yard which could have resulted in someone getting hurt as our dog could have been in the back yard, and then when we complained we get threatened with lawyers and liens. Seems like a great business model to me. I can't recommend their service in any way and their customer service, well, judge for yourself.

Rude, and maybe not competent.
Some years ago, this company did work for my neighbor but dug at least 2 feet past our property line damaging the roots of my trees. An arborist saw the damage and recommended the trees be removed because Greenway made them into hazards for falling. The supervisor on site was rude, and we requested to speak to the owners but never received a call back. This cost thousands.

Since the person who hires this company is responsible for the damage they cause I would say avoid them to protect yourself, so you don't have to deal with their insurance company.

Greenway Scapes was fantastic to work with, from start to finish! Excellent landscape work, beautiful design, hard working crew, great communication throughout the entire project. They went above and beyond on their final clean-up, leaving the site better than when they arrived. Would highly recommend Greenway Scapes.

Greenway provided one of the cleanest, well done landscaping jobs that I’ve ever seen. As a home builder, landscaping is one of the last items finished that can make or break a job. Mike with Greenway was responsive, professional and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend Greenway.

I bought a house that already had the design plans for the backyard. I called Greenway and Mike got those plans from the developer. Mike gave me an estimate, and I texted him with new photos of what my backyard nightmare currently looked like, and Mike gave me a new estimate, which was more than reasonable for what they had to accomplish. The crew came on time; they were professional, meticulous attention to every detail, and easy to work with from start to finish.

My new home in Dallas was landscaped and irrigation installed by Greenway. They did an awesome job on the sod , plants , trees and irrigation install. Mike was so prompt and professional to work with. Keep up the great work guys. Thanks again.

Greenway installed a sprinkler system as insurance against wild fires. System works great and is almost invisible. The work was done quickly and clean-up was complete - yard looks better than it did before! Mike Perez is friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Five stars!!

Mike and the Greenway team are wonderful to work with. We've used them for all our new home construction landscaping for years and they do a great job. They are timely, very responsive, and create beautiful designs for us. We're extremely pleased with our working relationship.

We have hired Greenway Scapes a number of times and have always been very satisfied with their work. Recently they built a set of steps into a hillside for us; the final result exceeded our expectations! Their crew are the hardest working fellows, and they are very polite and professional. I no longer bother getting other bids because I know that I will always be pleased with their work!

I won’t recommend this company! Our warranty was not honored by the owner Mike and now we are literally left with a sinking patio and 1/2 inch gaps between pavers. Quotes are 20k+ to fix their work by 2 other companies. Full removal and reinstall necessary to remedy the workmanship.
