Great work and amazing crew. GT handled a change order very quickly and Crew was able to change on the fly. Added a retaining wall that was higher then originally planned, added extra drain and landscaped the yard to fix drainage and sod. Great work!!

We thought they did a good job until we turned the sprinkler system on last week and one of the lines had a big crack in it. It took them 10 days to come out and then informed us that we had somehow caused it and refused to fix it under their one year warranty. they said the only way they would fix it is if they bid the job and came out again in two more weeks or longer. Would not recommend this company at all. We fixed the line ourselves for four dollars in parts in 10 minutes worth of work.

My wife and I just moved to Salem after purchasing our first home here. As much as we love our new house, the yard needed a *LOT* of work. It hadn't been maintained for 1 or 2 years, so what once had been an immaculately kept yard was filled with overgrown and dying plants. Unfortunately, it needed a complete overhaul -- which doesn't come cheap.

Ultimately we chose Green Thumb to do the work. Donald - our point man - was super friendly, and helped us with the initial plan and walk-thru. He lent us a clear vision of a low-maintenance but highly attractive new yard. We pulled virtually everything out and started from scratch. His team worked hard, and even went the extra mile to help us do things like move the access gate to a different spot on the fence. They were here nearly everyday for a week, working hard and answering questions and being responsive to our last minute adjustments.

At no point did they ever get annoyed that we changed our mine about something, or added a new task to the project. They did everything with an upbeat, positive attitude. Honestly, we were dreading this whole process a little bit. It was a lot of work, and it's not cheap rebooting your landscaping - especially right after buying a house. We kept getting cold feet before the work started, wondering if we'd made a poor choice investing the money. But now that the work is done, we couldn't be happier. So, know that if you work with the team from Green Thumb that we interacted with, they'll make a believer out of you too.

I highly recommend green thumb for your next outdoor project. When I called green thumb I let them know about the project I had in mind and they told me that they would be coming over the next day to give me a free estimate. I got an excellent quote and far better price than the local competitors. The friendliness and professionalism that we received from green thumb was extraordinary. Libby was understanding of my new business and the need to get me a fresh look on the outside of the building. Her crew showed up on he same day I ;scheduled the full front of the business to be signed. The crew worked around the other company and was very professional about losing a little time here and there. They did great work and great cleanup!

If you are looking for an excellent landscaping company, this is the one!! I am 74. I can still remember when the customer(client) came first on all aspects of a company providing a product, from the beginning, during and after. You cant go wrong here. this company is doing it!!
GT did an entire redo of our landscaping, front and back plus adding stone along the walkway to the house, along the front sidewalk and updated our sprinkler system. For me, I did not want to spend hours coming up with a plan. So I told Johnny and Pat use your experience, keeping in mind my suggestions. note: they themselves did not do the work, right? But their installation team did everything to honor my perfection! And boy, did the landscaping blend with the new driveway we put in prior to GT doing their work. Is GT cheap? no. Cheap will get you today's "customer care", which stinks. Are they the most expensive? no. With the research I did prior to picking GT, they fell into all what I have said above. Last, Pat and Johnny don't just "collect the money". they were the go to guys to give support to their excellent installation team!
Note: if you figure out their nice(I think) personalities and they yours, you can have fun while working with them. Guaranteed!!

I wanted to extend my current sprinkling system and asked for bids. Donald with Green Thumb was one of the contractors I called. He was here on time; was very professional and pleasant; and is the only contractor that looked at the area involved and measured before leaving. Their bid came in with the most detail and $600 less than the other "professional" bid I received. I am very pleased with the finished work and Donald came by and we did a walk through of the project. I would definitely recommend Green Thumb to anyone. Patricia (a single senior).

Me and my husband just bought a house that needed a lot of work done. Lots of blackberries, 3ft tall grass, and weeds everywhere. Just a lot of work needed to be done. We never hired a landscape company before and decided to contact this company. Johnny came out within a few days to give me a quote, than scheduled us the following week. Very fast, great customer service from him, the crew did a amazing job. They made our front, backyard, and driveway look fantastic. We hired the company for a one time cleanup, but now we are wanting to do a contract with them to have regular work done.

So far, I am very satisfied with the timely response for my request for an estimate to do a one time clean up to prep for home sale. Johnny got back to me and requested permission to visit site to view my needs and what would be needed from them . I was quickly given an estimate that was very fair, and actually a little less what I was anticipating. I agreed to the bid and have been scheduled for work within a week. I look forward to adding an after completion review. Until then, I would recommend anyone with yard needs to at least call for a professional experience. Thank you. Don Vance

Green Thumb has done an excellent job keeping my property looking beautiful! Dustin is a pleasure to work with and always willing to go that extra mile to keep his clients satisfied. Over the years I have had many issues at my property with irrigation but since Dustin has taken over the property things have been running smoothly. I would like to give a shout out to Green Thumb's Irrigation crew. They were here all day to get our irrigation up and running and did a fabulous job. I know it was a huge headache for them but they were amazing and I am so thankful for them.

I called for a bid for a paver job for a backyard, Moises came out and looked at the site and said he would come back in two days with his concrete guy to better idea how the job will be done. Two days went by and no word, so I called Moises and left a message asking if he was coming out and if he wanted to do business. I got a call back and he said Brittany from the office should have called, she did not. Nor did she email me either. We set up a time to meet with him and the concrete guy. Both were late, one by 10 and the other by 15 minutes. One parked in a way to block my neighbor if he tried to get out, Moises asked him to move, he didn't. They looked at the backyard and held a conversation about the job in Spanish, which I don't speak, and Moises didn't interpret. They asked some questions, then left. I haven't heard anything back, it's been a few weeks.

We chose GT Landscape Solutions for our irrigation and landscape installation, when we had absolutely bare earth around our newly constructed home. The GT Landscape team did a fabulous job, while being on time and paying attention to details. We recently had them help us with a smaller drainage project, which they handled with equal effectiveness and professionalism. Would definitely recommend this top notch operation.

Working with Green Thumb has been phenomenal. Johnny was super responsive and very helpful in planning the project, and showed up and gave me a quote about a day after I called. I reached out to 4 different "reputable" companies, 3 returned my call, 2 showed up, and only 1 followed through. That was Green Thumb. The whole crew did an excellent job! We had a man-made flood that washed out several retaining walls and other landscaping in our front yard. Libby came out to give the estimate and was very kind and professional. She was patient with us as we battled with home insurance to get cleared for repairs, and the work even got started earlier than anticipated. The construction crew worked very hard, even through the heat wave! At the end we discovered that leveling out the yard for new sod installation caused puddling on a low point of the walk way, but they quickly came back to install a drain which fixed the problem. We are very happy with the way the retaining walls and yard looks now! Thanks GT!

Earlier in the month I talked to Johnny about having two projects done. The first was to lay river rock for drainage. He gave me an estimate. After I approved it, he scheduled the work and made sure that our regular maintenance crew understood exactly what I wanted. They did a GREAT job. Johnny called me the next day to ask if I was satisfied. I loved that he took the time to follow up and make sure that I was satisfied with the work.
The second project was having our home pressure washed. Again Johnny came to the house this morning, with Armando, to insure that the work was planned to my satisfaction. Armando did an incredible job! The house looks great, he paid attention to detail and he cleaned up everything when he was done. Once again, when the work was finished, Johnny stopped by in person to walk the property and insure my satisfaction. Green Thumb has completed several projects for me and I have come to expect a high degree of professionalism. I'm never disappointed. I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to our maintenance crew, who do an exceptional job every week, to Johnny for his care and concern for our home and for us, and to Armando who, obviously, has a great work ethic and a concern for customer satisfaction.

The only reason I leave 2 stars is for the hard workers who try to do their work. The rest of the experience was a nightmare and I hope people look elsewhere for their sanity. I was made to feel bad for questioning work, when in fact the work was being done incorrectly and they were doing damage to my retaining wall in my backyard, which anyone who landscapes knows is essential when you live on a hill, especially in West Salem.

The list of complaints is vast, but what disturbed me the most was the fact that the owner lies to his customers. For over $5,000, you would think I would get what I paid for...but that is a big ol' negative. The plate compacted path, well you can see in the pictures. They used a temper, which is a handheld version of an actual plate compactor, and try to claim it was plate compacted. As a combat veteran, I would assume businesses would practice loyalty, honesty, and integrity (a few Army core values), but we all know what assumptions do…they make an ___ out of you and me:( Lesson learned!

The first two pictures are of non-compacted areas, the last is the only truly compacted area. In fact, it looks like the only area where they used the stabilizer, which was $1,500 extra, I might add. Which, I was never told the specific stabilizer it was like I requested (since I wanted an itemized list of costs to make sure I was not being robbed), just the brand name...because they would have had to tell me they used the cheaper stuff that does not last long that I will have to replace in a year or two. Also, I planted the plants, because I was tired of the huge dirt mounds they left.

BEWARE, for your sake. Good luck in your landscaping endeavors.

*If there was enough space and enough patience, I would show all that was detailed and the lies he still continues to spew.
