Brian was very professional and friendly. He even helped get the time on my thermostat set correctly.

Robin, the technician who visited my house and performed my tune-up, was awesome!! She was great at slowing down to explain the function of each piece of equipment she was replacing to make sure I understood its purpose and what I was agreeing to. She also replaced the air filter for me, saving me time and effort to do it myself! And she dealt with the inconvenient location of my furnace tucked away in the attic.

It's also really refreshing to see a woman technician in a field dominated by men, since I rarely get to interact with women when I hire contractors and maintenance professionals to service my house. As a woman homeowner it makes a huge difference to be able to speak with another woman every once in a while!

Columbia was a 3rd party to a furnace check up special thru Home Depot that I bought. Everything went fine, Nick the service guy was fine throughout the appointment & upon leaving said everything checked out good except I needed a blower Service cleaning. I didn’t receive a list of checked items like I was shown on the HD website. I called back Columbia not once but twice to have them get me the info I needed & reluctantly someone (not Nick) filled it out & sent it to me. But now all of a sudden I had things wrong with y furnace that were classified as “at risk”. Scamming for work, or making up problems just to get work isn’t the way to do business, I would never recommend this kind of company.
UPDATE:
I had another company come out and inspect my furnace & because of the cracks in the heat exchanger they shut down my furnace. This according to the other company is the LAW, so it didn't make sense to them why it wasn't shut down before because those cracks didn't develop over the last 2-3months. As far as I'm concerned Columbia put me and my families not only health at risk but our lives. I would give them 0 stars and sue the hell out of them if I could, so fair warning stay away from this company. BTW this company is used by Home Depot so my advice is to ask and demand another company.
RESPONSE to COLUMBIA:
The fact that you said "The Home Depot requires us to review components of a furnace and recommend those that are at risk for failure" tells me you didn't even read my complaint! The complaint was exactly that fact that you didn't warn me of the hazards of your work, causing a very dangerous situation for my family. This is beyond a miscommunication, this is just proof on how bad your company actually is, and if anyone uses your compay they actually are putting their own lives at risk possibly & you obviously don't care.
