This review was originally written incorrectly about Hank's appliance but was for Jo's. We found a pair of fairly new Whirlpool washer & dryer set, bought for $649 with $40 delivery charge 4/27/22, with 90 days warranty. Everything worked fine until recently when I saw the washer dripping water slowly after a wash. So I contacted Hanks the week of 7/12 but their truck was in repair until 7/18. Called again & Jo & Forrest came to look 7/21. Came to repair 8/2 but got the wrong part & finally fixed it it 8/3. They honored my warranty. Took awhile but the valve problem was fixed. They apologized because they were very busy. But everyone was polite.
Pros: 90 days warranty, good prices if you find fairly new machines, specializes in Whirlpool. Cons: can take awhile to come over depending on their schedule & one needs to keep calling.

I wanted to support small local business and was even happier to find out it's a black owned business. Sadly... BOTH the washer and dryer needed repairing within a year. Theyre supposed to be refurbished amd should've latest 10years considering it has a metal clutch and well.made parts like they used to be. Newer appliances have plastic parts made to break so they need to be repaired or replaced! I feel they completely SCAMMED me!!! Terrible customer service as well!!!

Do not deal with this company/person. I just bought a washer and dryer from them expecting it to operate. Neither one works. He switched out the dryer for another one that did not work. When I brought them back to his shop for the second time he refused to speak to me and threatened to call the police. I paid $634 for absolutely nothing. He will not refund your money and will not Stand by his so called warranty. Stay away.

Was a good place when Hank was around, now im assuming it's Jo , he likes to act like a gangster and run people off the road when dropping off scrap. Very unprofessional and I will never do business there again.

We had a great experience with Jo and will be a returning customer. He made sure that I was taken care of the same day and there was no interruption to my routine because the repair was quick and less expensive then expected! Thank you Jo for being a caring and helpful business man!

Bought a fridge with my partner for like $500 the only good interaction was with Jo’s wife who sold us the fridge. It was brought and everything was fine until 2 weeks later the fridge stopped working and we called to get it fixed and he was so rude and telling me the problem was something it wasn’t! Came to pick up the fridge after such a hassle and when my partner and I were concerned about getting our money back because we’re not paying $500 for a broken fridge?? And after like 10 minutes of asking for a check we received a check with a different name on it and on top of that Jo called my partner and grandmother in law racist after being called out on the check!! absolutely do not come here unless you want broken appliances and disrespectful customer service!!

Joe’s Appliance Service is great. The heating element went out on my four year-old Samsung dryer on Sunday. I called Joe Monday and he made an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. He was prompt and had my dryer repaired in less than an hour. His rates are good but more than that, he did a great job. I highly recommend him.

Bit of a chaotic store with appliances everywhere but he does amazing work! I bought a washer and dryer from him and they both work perfectly!

A waste of time!
This is my 6th time coming to this store... always opened but with a sign in the door normally stung back in 5 minutes, today back in 20 minutes... 1st question from what time... I'm here at 9:15am with you opening at 9am. I can't give any higher stars unless I can work with the company.
Update they were not gone for 20 minutes, I've been outside for 30 minutes now. Giving me time to read the reviews, sounds like the dude need to get an employee, and take a step back from the business.
Today I waited one hour outside this business that claims to be open, never with anyone inside. With others whom were out of town. Today is my last time trying to visit. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

A prompt greeting, they let us explore at our own pace. Everything that need work was clearly labeled and all the fridges were on to show they worked. Worked out a good deal for buying multiple items. Loved them and will be recommending them to friends!

Bought a washer for $350,would not
spin water out of clothes. I took videos. This was for my 76 year old sister-in-law, just her. She decided to get a new one. Took it back, has 60 day warranty, she had it two weeks.
He said THE MACHINE WILL TELL HIM WHAT HAPPENED. When we first picked it up the he made sure to say DON'T OVER LOAD IT..

He said it was ready but there was a charge..$300 FOR MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION, DID NOT ASK, WON'T HONOR WARRANTY BECAUSE THE MACHINE SAID IT WAS OVERLOADED!! WE WERE CALLED LIERS FROM BEGINNING!
THIS GUY IS A JERK AND BIG TIME SCAMER!!!! STAY CLEAR DOES NOT

Very prompt response and service. Prices were very good. Had parts to fix my dryer.
Would recommend them and use their service again. They thoroughly cleaned our dryer and made it safe again. Didn’t realize how bad the lint and pet hair was. Major fire hazard removed. Avoided a potential fire hazard.

I think this place has changed ownership a few times in the last 4/5 years. About 3 years ago a guy and his son came out, fixed our stove in a timely and affordable manner. Since then I can't ever get a hold of ANYONE there. There's ALWAYS a sign up, be back in 5, be back in 20, etc. Theyre NEVER there and NEVER answer the phone.
I need to get my fridge fixed buuuuut as much as I like to keep my money/business local i think this time I'm going to call the Maytag people.

Had a great experience.

Our fridge stopped working and we were ready to go buy a new one. Our regular guy was not available until the next day, and since our food was spoiling, we called Jo’s. They sent someone out that day who immediately diagnosed the problem. Saving us hundreds of dollars.

Bought a Refrigerator from them 4 years ago its still going strong. Going to go buy a new one from them because I have a friend that needs mine. Great local place.

I actually cant speak to his services they may do stellar work. However in my experience I got an appointment and they no call, no showed. That's no way to treat customers.

We got excellent refrigerator from Hank and he came on time when it needed repair. He fixed it right then; no waiting weeks for a part. Thank you Hank!

Parts worked perfectly. What was once a front lawn eye sore, is now a working double door fridge for 12 dollars. Thanks for the good price and product

Followed directions on maps and it brought us to a vape store. We went searching around only to find out he doesn't have a store front so was overall a waste of time.

I don’t have enough words to express my satisfaction with this business. I’ve used them twice and both times were exceptional. VERY prompt and reasonably priced. Service is reliable.
